Isn't the more cost-effective solution, that is adequate, buying a 90-degree adapter for a regular drill? Are there truly strategic advantages with this type of drill?

Overall footprint of this is a lot smaller than a drill with a 90 degree in the chuck. I have the dewalt 90 that has a flexible shaft and gives you a little room from the driver, but it's pretty cumbersome to use on a regular basis. This is what you want to be using if you're an electrician spending your days pulling wire through studs or joists on a finished property
