Only good for adding service to a current TF account, then moving service back to a usable phone. This model is very outdated & basically obsolete by today's standards.

i hear ya but the service is 1.5gb for a year ? that would last me a day

This would be a total of 3gb for the year and obviously it's not for heavy users. Lots of people have wifi available most of the time so they don't need unlimited data.

My kids are on TracFone. They are always on wifi and don't call much
this actual phone is junk, i bought last time just to harvest the plan

Phone was originally released mid 2021 and barely usable even then.

Like I said earlier this model is considered obsolete - even if it's a new phone it's still a 5 year old entry level phone and doesn't meet today's requirements for software/hardware. It's Ok as a basic e-reader or music player but it's slow (& it takes patience to get all the old updates).
Recommend to only buy if you plan to harvest the service, for that it's deal.
