OMG remember when I said I had collected a bag for you? So about two weeks ago I was cleaning out my trunk and there in the back was the plastic Kroger's bag with the Walnuts laugh out loud I threw them away though because I'm not sure how long they stay good especially in a plastic bag in the trunk during the summer, lol.

They'll be falling again in like a month and I swear this time I'll actually send them. I had a pretty good stash collected last time laugh out loud

Morning.

DS had his first football practice last night. This morning isn't going so well. He's sore and slow moving. Coach is going to whip him into shape!
Practice again tonight.

I feel kinda bad this morning.

There's this huge garden spider in our yard. It's not a normal sized spider it's at least twice the size of a regular garden spider. My dad always comments on it when he comes over. Kinda interesting looking.

Anyway it usually seems to keep it's web in the same approx area so I just try not to think about it. Christian seems to think it's kinda cool. But this morning when I went to take the dog out it had it's web stretched across the steps I go down to take Phantom out.

Now I didn't "have" to kill it. There are other steps I could take. But I already take a huge flashlight out at night because I'm paranoid of walking into webs and I didn't want people walking into it who come over. So I took some spider killer spray and killed it. (At least I think I did, I looked away to spray something else for a second and when I looked back it was gone...but I soaked it so much I don't think it could survive.) I would have rather stepped on it and killed it quickly. I always feel really bad killing something like that and watching it struggle around. I don't like spiders but I don't like making stuff suffer either.

I like them to suffer. I imagine that their screams are loud enough for the other spiders to hear in hopes that they will decide that the neighbors property is safer.

Oh, and I leave their carcasses there as a sign for all of the other spiders.

laugh out loud Ok I need you to come over to my house then and kill the spiders while Patrick is gone. I hate them so much but I still catch them and take them outside because I hate killing them. We have this HUGE one that lives under our porch (the one over the basement that we have to walk under to get to our cars). It's zoo exhibit sized and it's webs are bigger than my head. (And you know I have a big head, lol) I keep trying to tell myself "It's ok, it's outside and it's up high so it shouldn't bother us so I shouldn't kill it..." but I'm still paranoid every time I go outside it's going to have a web stretched out over the door or something, lol. It's name is Herman.

Ewww yes I know! We have wolf spiders in our basement with big fat bodies. I can't even bring myself to step on those because I even imagine I can feel them through my shoes laugh out loud

i typically will trap them under a big glass or some kind of glass bowl (so i can see them in there) and then i leave them there, trapped, while they die a slow and painful death of starvation and fear - since my cats tend to stalk them while they are trapped laugh out loud

laugh out loud Cats are awesome. The only room I never see spiders is our bedroom and that's cause that's where Lightning and Thunder hang out all day and night.

I usually trap spiders under a glass and then I slide a piece of paper under the glass and take the whole thing and fling it as far away as I can outside. The landing and impact probably kills the spider I was trying to save. laugh out loud
