hey jenni! Wave i lurk every now and then, but there's usually not much to reply.

updates on me for whatever the internets don't know. i had to move up from sd to near my grandparents. right now they're not doing well at all. grandma is in a home after a(nother) stroke. she's basically knows where she is, is no pain but can't control her body at all. mom made an emergency trip out to at least say let her know she was there before she might go. i can't deal going there at all.

i adopted 2 cats because i wanted a pet and my landlord didn't let me have a dog. the cat i wanted to adopt has a sister, and i thought it was going to be mean to separate them. they really love each other, one is super shy and the other one keeps her company when she's really scared. the shy one helps to entertain the other one when i'm not there. it took a while before we got used to each other, but we like each other.

can everyone else give a tl;dr version of what's happened in the last.. umm couple years?

Haha exactly! Do yours freak out when they can see the bottom of their food bowl even though there's plenty of food? Lightning and Thunder (who share a food bowl, Cat has his own) start meowing and spazzing out like they've been out of food for weeks when you can see just the tiniest bit of the bottom of the bowl, lol.

Yeah I'll have to try that. I haven't done much because I got a new phone for Christmas and I haven't been able to get my old account transferred over and I hate starting all over again. My old phone is pretty much dead. I mean it can turn on but it crashes whenever I try to open anything on it and won't do anything or else I'd just play on that phone when I'm near a wifi.

Wow! One more day? That's early, but I guess they go back earlier.

Yeah, I've cried a ton... and I'm sure this is just the beginning. I'm tearing up now just typing that. laugh out loud Faith. That's my word lately. I have so much to text you, but I've been so busy with RL.
I think they went back August 8th or something. They go back so early. A lot of my friends who live around here have had their kids out of school since last week.

Well geeze, text me already laugh out loud hug It's funny cause I haven't gotten anything from you in awhile and I've been hesitating to write because I'm not sure if 1.)You've texted and I just didn't get them (I don't get like 50% of my mom's texts and it's pissing me off) and I wonder if you're sitting there going "Where the Hell is Autumn? I sent her the huge important texts and she never responded." or 2.)You've been busy and haven't been able to text, in which case if I text and say "Did you text? I didn't get them." I'm afraid if you've been too busy to text you'll think I'm trying to guilt trip you, which I'm not cause I suck at texting. Did any of that make sense? Roll

Sometimes the best things for you are also some of the hardest. This will be great for you hug

the sad part on my cats? it took months for them to get a water bowl system that works.

i used to have 2 mini bowls each for food/water. i didn't think it was enough water so i wanted bigger bowls. they kept knocking it over running around. then i got bigger bowls. they wanted to pounce on it., spilling it. i have a non spill proof but that has to be changed every chance i get. it gets litter and cardboard from their scratching posts in it (no where near it)

All I saw was "I got two cats...." WTF Arj? Did someone hack your account? laugh out loud j/k My dad used to hate cats. Haaaaate them. He'd see one on the road and would joke about running them over for "points" laugh out loud I mean he never did but he hated them. Then he met my cats and my brothers cat and he's been to the cat shelter with my little sister who volunteered there and now he doesn't love them but he doesn't hate them anymore either laugh out loud

I'm really sorry about your grandparents. My grandpa died last month, less than 24 hours after finding out he had pancreatic cancer. I didn't go down to visit him (He had been in a assisted living/nursing home type place for a couple years because something happened with his hips and he wasn't able to walk). Anyway I didn't go visit him mostly due to complete lack of money. After he passed away I was torn between being so sad/guilty I didn't go see him and a little bit ok that the last memories I have of him (Well seeing him in person, I talked to him a lot on the phone and stuff though) were good memories of him being healthy. I guess what I'm trying to say is it doesn't make you weird because you find it hard to see grandparents that way. You're weird for a whole lot of other reasons, lol hug

Ha, I was gonna ask if it was near their little bowls/scratching post. I hear ya though...sometimes I'll find little bits of litter in our bed even though the bed is made and their litter box isn't right next to it or anything. I guess it sticks to the bottom of their paws like dirt can stick to the bottom of our feet.

I've seen some of those water system things....it's like a little waterfall looking thing that's supposed to keep the water fresh. I've heard good things (about how it keeps the water fresher and hard to tip, etc) but I've also heard bad things about mold growing on the inside of it and stuff.

What are their names?

i have scars on my arm because i was near my sister when she saw a dog, or we went door to door selling something and she gripped my arm. we just had the irrational fears random strays are unpredictable. when i got used to the places cats like to be touched, recognizing the signs they like me.. its a big difference.

gulp. well that describes everything i was trying to say about grandma.

Yeah, each cat is different. With Thunder if you walk near him and freaks out and runs under the bed. With Cat, you could pick him up and twirl him in the air and he doesn't give a crap. I don't think there's much anyone could do to piss him off, lol.

That's probably how most people feel about their grandparents (or any loved one). hug

Roll Yeah I'm not sure there's ever an explanation for trying to give a cat a shower but it's usually hilarious to everyone except to the person giving the cat a shower, lol.

And nah, don't even worry about it. Some cats are asshole too laugh out loud

My cat does that! I'm like "You have food!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" She's crazy though. If I'm close to my husband she can't stand it. She thinks he's hers.

The last day for my kids was Friday. We opened the pool the same day. Summertime, here we come! (help me)

My cat did that with water until my mom said that she was after the reflection of the light in her dish. I moved it and she hasn't done it since.

The litter is horrible. She'll go for days with very little problem, then one day there will be little bits of litter all over the bathroom. I watched her one day. She got out and shook her feet everywhere. I can't wait to get a bigger house one day and have an actual laundry ROOM where I can put her box.

My update:

We sold the Corvette. We are looking to pay off some things and start saving so we can buy or build a bigger house in the future. Robert got a Nissan 350z instead and he's semi-happy with it. (He'd be happier with the Corvette, but it was his choice).

Nick has a truck and a job. He just got his license. He is having the time of his life with that, and it's made my life a little easier because he can run to the store for me or take his brothers somewhere. Mostly, it's awesome because I was tired of carting his butt to work and back.

Jamie has a little girlfriend. He went to his first dance last week.

Jack thinks he's a teenager too. He is mistaken.

I've been mom-ing, trying to get my boys into reading, cooking and cleaning. It's what I do.

They have a two-sided bowl, but will only eat out of one side. If the other side is full and their side is empty, they still won't touch it. I have to switch it around so that the full side is now their side. It's really ridiculous.

Can't they transfer it for you without you having access to your old phone? You should check because I think I read that they can.

No, you can totally text me even while you're waiting on me to respond. laugh out loud I read them right away, but have to wait until I have more than 30 seconds to respond.

I don't know about the mold because mine's pretty new, but I bought one a few months ago and LOVE it. The cats were drinking very stale water (even if I cleaned it out once a day, it still had cat fur in it and random stuff that somehow made it's way in there). Now, the water is crystal clear and they drink from it more often. When I first bought it, they wouldn't drink at all. laugh out loud Olive would drink water that dripped onto the bathroom floor because she was so scared of the damn bowl. You can buy a cleaner for it, so, I would guess if you keep up with that, you shouldn't have any issues.

My baby got braces. Frown He said the braces didn't hurt, but he had to get an expander that we have to adjust each day and he's ready to pull that out. I keep telling him 83 more weeks of braces. laugh out loud He doesn't think it's as funny as I do, though.
