For some reason I doubt the drawer would work efficiently after being loaded down with specific items day in and day out. The convenience of not having to unstack isn't enough for me to say it's 100% better. But I agree for certain setups, that the drawer may be better.

The drawers are not very dust proof or waterproof, which is important if you're transporting these in the back of your truck. They also don't hold as much as the top-opening boxes.
