When you go to a Chinese restaurant, what do you order?

I am curious. When you fellow SD'ers dine in a Chinese restaurant (no, Panda Express doesn't count!Stick Out Tongue), what do you order? Typical sweet and sour pork, General Tso's Chicken?

For the most part, I go to Wo Hop in nyc chinatown and will always order the fried flounder filets and the salt and pepper squid. If there's a bunch of us, we also order the snails, and "see jup serng cherng". For the other chinese restaurants, I get stir fried conch, hong kong style pork chops, and seafood thing in bird nest made of fried potato or taro.

For more americanized chinese take out restaurants, i go with chicken broccoli, crab rangoon, pineapple fried rice, and shrimp with lobster sauce... oh and egg drop soup.

Sea bass, lobster, rice, ummm...salmon... chicken...ok, not much and not very adventurous. Stick Out Tongue
You're far more adventurous than I. Shrimp in chili sauce. That's about the start and stop of my menu items. I've tried all sorts of things, but trying to look ladylike sticking the teeth out there so nothing touches the lips leaves a lot to be desired. laugh out loud

When you eat dim sum, have you tried the chicken feet or tripe?

Yeah...I think that some people in my life now are trying to conspire to get me to eat something gross unknowingly. Like urchin gonads. vomit

One of the best dishes I have ever had at a Chinese restaurant was fish fillet in chili sauce at the Royal Panda in Tigard, Or. Every thing they served was just amazing. Next time we're in Oregon, we're going there, even if it's out of our way.
