When you go to a Chinese restaurant, what do you order?

I am curious. When you fellow SD'ers dine in a Chinese restaurant (no, Panda Express doesn't count!Stick Out Tongue), what do you order? Typical sweet and sour pork, General Tso's Chicken?

You eat that a lot, don't you?LMAO

Do you use chopsticks, a spoon, or do you just like it dumped on your face?

I can count the times I've sat down at a strictly-Chinese restaurant (rather than getting takeout or delivery) on one hand.

Mostly it's Asian bistros or places like PF Chang's which features a variety of Asian dishes. In which case I'm generally a pad thai, drunken noodles, or crispy duck kind of guy.

But IIRC when I did go to a Chinese-only type place, it was beef with broccoli or sweet & sour pork. And egg rolls of course. Stick Out Tongue

I was curious because I know a lot of Americans only try the typical dishes. However, from what I've seen when I've taken non-Asian friends out to Chinese joints, they really like the non-traditional stuff that my family and friends order. And, a lot of it isn't really even "exotic" or "adventurous".

Until three years ago you wouldn't get me to eat Thai food if you paid me. It looked like Klingon food to me! laugh out loud I tried some pad thai though & got hooked.

I always order too much so that I have leftovers, which I don't take home.

Oh man, I LOVE Thai food. You should try the Pad See Ew or Drunken noodles. Very common Thai dishes that everyone loves. Have you had the different Thai curries or soups?

Too bad they stopped making good Thai food in 2007. Comfort

Yo....nothing wrong with PF Changs. I've eaten there. It's got decent food. Not really authentic Chinese but more Americanized Chinese fare. But, nothing wrong with it! Their cabbage wraps were really good.
