That child just cracks me up. I don't know why, but she does.
laugh out loud My guess is the plethora of facial expressions. This child has had so many odd and funny facial expressions since she was a tiny baby....she came out of the womb that way I swear. She is a very goofy/funny kid - her personality is totally that way. She says the funniest stuff anymore.

Thank you!! This house is much better for taking the occasional indoor pics Smilie

Thanks gg, we are in love with the shoes too. DD likes them because they are purple and sparkle and well, I kinda like the purple sparkle too and that they're good for her feet Wink We tried other-brand shoes walking to and from school yesterday and she just complained. Back to the good ones.

Off to pick her up, chat w/y'all later!!

we've noticed kids' shoes are not something you can compromise with. there's a world of difference between the cheapo ones and the good ones. the good ones are designed to support the developing feet of a child, and so they not only impact comfort, but they impact posture, gait, leg strength, foot and leg bone development etc. big difference.

what kind are those?

These are Pediped [pediped.com] brand. We've gone with them since she was a baby. I usually buy a pair of their new lines when they come out but otherwise I get plenty of deals on them on Amazon and other sites throughout the year, often times getting them for $15-$20/pr. or about 1/2 off or more. Which is high I realize compared to 75% off T. or elsewhere's prices but I'm with you on this one. This company also has awesome contests for their customers (I've won several prs.), they have wonderful CS (if they shoe shoes abnormal wear they will replace w/o you even asking), and gives to a lot of charities. All in all good company.

Speaking of which, I entered dd into their new casting call contest Teehee

Well, I'll be darned. I've had a little hummingbird off and on for the last half hour. It's drinking from the feeder and perching on it and sitting still. And he's hovering around the window, I swear he's looking in. I guess that's fair, since I'm staring at him... or her.

tm4d- dh was able to get tickets to the ground zero memorial for 9/23 a couple days ago. 9/24 was also available. your brother may want to try again if you guys are interested in going.

fyi- across the street is Century 21 which is an amazing discount store, full of european and designer clothing, handbags, luggage, housewares, domestics, shoes, jewelry, intimates, etc, etc, etc. both tourists and locals go there to shop. i go there w/ my italy SIL all the time to buy stuff for her babies (who are 9 and 6yrs old). just try to avoid it during lunchtime and after 5pm m-f b/c it is always packed 8am to 11ish is pretty dead, also bet 2-5pm.

hi guys. i am desperately looking for some rcpts for a rebate. does anyone here have rcpts for heineken or dos equis, please? i don't drink either of those, but am required to send rcpts for those along with grocery rcpts. Facepalm

1. $10 in ice and/or bottled water AND 2 12packs of heinekin - can be separate rcpts. i would need upcs for the heineken, too. purchase can be between 7/15 and 9/15

2. Rcpt and upcs for 2 12packs of Dos Equis - can be between 5/17 and 9/9

ideas, please? i'd be grateful.

you should just put the bare necessities in a carry-on and bring an empty luggage! or bring old clothes and handbags and i'll donate them to the salvation army in the village and you can go home w/ the new stuff Wink.

or you could do like the commercials and layer everything and wear it onto the plane.

i hope there is a chance to meet up! maybe we could get gg to come out for a cup of decaf and a slice of juniors cheesecake. they have a location near times square. after real authentic new york cheesecake you will be in the diet support group every day!

gg does not need cheesecake babe, she has plenty of it layered all over her body. OMG
and moreover, she'd have a whole chunk of driving to do to get anywhere near you two, and she's not driving currently.

(do you like gg's bob dole impression?)

but gg would like to know, how is your basement coming along? and are you feeling more upbeat today? and have you had new encounters of the alien kind? LMAO

gg- how far away are you from time sq in driving time? and are you north, south, east or west? i know it would be very tiring but would you consider taking the train in? once you got in we could do taxis. i could maybe even borrow dh's grandma's wheelchair. all buses now kneel in nyc so you and me could do a day of it if you were up to it. i don't think tm4d is here on the wknd but if were around my mom's or mil's bday, it's possible i could get dh to drive Evil.

today's alien encounters- swiffer products, namely swiffer dusters and swiffer sweep and vac.

question of the day- how do you dust? answer- with a feather duster. alien- but it will get dirty. me- that's why you use a disposable one. out comes a swiffer duster.

I'm sure the week will be jam-packed; I will let you know when it gets closer since I don't even know what we are doing and where on what day laugh out loud I am glad my brother has traveled so much that he knows what he is doing laugh out loud

On a side note....I am gonna miss my dd like none other Frown

Email received. Stuff printed, signed, faxed, emailed and in the envelope with the UPS sticker to go overnight tomorrow. Didn't even have to leave the house. My baby is a homeowner.
