We do have the SoloFill things that you put reg. coffee in but I don't like the taste as well....still better than pot coffee to me. Anybody know of a stellar deal on k-cups that's still going on? They are just too darn pricey for me at reg. price but I do love them.
Thinking of maybe just getting a french press.....I hear those make

I do love my single serve Bodum french press, but I get lazy to grind the beans and make it that way. Once I do though, it's really not much trouble, the Keurig is just so much easier though.
Do not like chilly weather. like my friend said on facebook, who turned off the heat outside?

The price has really gone up on K-cups. I think the only deal, besides registering your machine, is at BB&B with a 20% coupon, or using a Kohl's coupon.

Hey guys, I am back
Well, off to work for 12 hours.. you guys have a great day!
Sometimes my husband cracks me up. Last night I asked him if he had any ideas for food to take on our trip -- for out in the boat and stuff for supper. Told him I can also prepare things ahead and just stick it in the oven. We eat out some but do like to have stuff around if we don't wanna leave -- without packing huge amounts of stuff. Anyway... I ask him if he has any ideas, he thinks a minute and says, "corndogs". I couldn't stop laughing. I don't know why They fit the bill -- quick, easy, we both like them... but for reason I found it hilarious. Maybe I need to get out more!
DD and I went shopping Saturday. She found new bedding for her bed room and her guest room. A few things were on clearance at Target, so that was nice but not a one of them would work with the 20% coupons. She got the paint for both bedrooms, the living room and kitchen/dining room. Remember the damask shower curtains and shabby chic rose curtain rings from the bathroom coupon that are going to be living room and kitchen/dining curtains? She got the curtain rods too. Needed pretty ones since they will show. Found some brushed nickle at Wal-Mart that were a half way decent price -- still too much but at least they weren't $25 - $30 a piece.
We've been patching and sanding walls. Living room is done and cleaned up and ready for primer. The two bedrooms are almost done. I have to sand and then it needs cleaned. They didn't need near as much as the living room so the mess isn't half as bad either. They will clean up pretty quickly.
We've gotten the basement all dried up and a couple windows opened down there so it's airing out. There's still a faint musty basement smell but another few days and it should be gone. The upstairs is (and has been) all aired out and smells fine.
Then only really big project that's going to happen in there is a new kitchen ceiling and it's ready to put the drywall up. Someone has put ceiling tile in. When you do that, you have to have wood strips every foot to staple the tiles to. If we were to pull all those strips down (they are 1" x 2"s) chances are we would pull down the ceiling -- it's plaster, not sheetrock. So, the strips are staying. DH has screwed them. leveled some stuff, shimmed some stuff and the drywall will go right over it and screw into that.
It's going to go slowly because of the hours DD is working. They are working 10 hours most days (M - F) and 8 or 10 most Saturdays. There is a rumor floating around they are going to 7 days a week soon -- possibly through the end of the year. It's not that we can't work on it without her, and some of it we will, but she does want to do stuff to her own house! If she wants me to prime or help her dad with drywall, etc. I will but when it's time to actually pop the top of the real paint and roll that color on... well, you know how exciting that is. She needs to be there. Geez, talk about babbling!
The extended forecast still looks really good for our trip -- about 80 degrees every day except the last full fishing day, it shows 59. I hope it does what it says. That's just way warmer than we were usual. Oh yeah, I'll take it. But just in case, I will still be packing my flannel lined jeans and a sweatshirt.
My almost 4 year old was extremely delayed in speech. Yesterday, I was actually watching a video I took of him and I remarked that he was 26 months and said about 20 words. I remember that even with the number I was exaggerating, it was more like 10 words. Have you had his hearing checked? Has he had a lot of ear infections? My son had a few and had tubes put in and within a month, his speech & vocabulary skyrocketed.
Now sometimes, I wish that he would stop talking for a few minutes!!
love2beeamom, sounds like you had a fun trip and I need to work toward getting some restaurant GC for eating out! Then DH and I could actually go out once in a while. Sounds like you have a fun vacation planned too, have fun.
Gator, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!

Are these holes in plaster walls then or drywall?? I've gotta fix the hole in my kitchen from the plumbing being fixed still. Home warranty company sent a small check but I think I am going to try to fix it myself first....any tips?
Have fun on your trip!
In <5 wks. I will be in NYC
