Thanks for the bump Kay I was just looking for TCC. It is easier to catch up lately.

I found a nice fishy to check out with last night. My Target run was great! I save about $250.00 and spent about $50. We need so much produce, oh please Target bring back the produce TQ!!! (not in a cat! laugh out loud ) I FINALLY used some Mossimo TQs Whee although pickings were slim, except shorts and I didn't get a single pair. Maybe next time if I get back for the TQ expires. Those shorts are so short! EEK! Maybe I'm just to old Frown

I was wondering if anyone has any gymboree gymbucks that they want to trade for Target coupons. I have access to a lot of computers, so I have many of each coupon available. PM me if interested.

Wave Been a little busy around here - got a new ride this week! Smilie 2006 Mazda 5 and I am in love heart It is just perfect for us. It is practically the smallest "minivan" you can get....and should get better gas mileage. Our last van was a 2000 Caravan w/201,000+ mi. on it so this was quite the upgrade laugh out loud

ETA: m2c, how's the house coming along??

i concur with your girlfriend.
then again, why does this come as a revelation to her? Stick Out Tongue

teasing, teasing.
Blowkiss

from the description of it, those leggins are made of a very thin fabric. so it would be like wearing thick pantyhose EEK! and not like wearing thermal undergarments. i don't think it's what you have in mind when thinking of getting those leggings.

you are so welcome hon!

been meaning to say, sprint sent me a postcard for a new home phone service they're starting:

19.99 a month. free local and long distance.
they send you a little black box with antenna. you connect your home phone to that, and get your connection off sprint's 3G network.
plus it is eligible for corporate discounts if you are on a discount plan. Faint
and you can port your number.

i will be reviewing our plan with comcast this weekend to see when the contract ends and how much i would pay them for 2 services only. i think i'm going to switch.

bounce on your new ride and a lovely upgrade!!
is that the new house in the background? Big Grin

p.s. was thinking of you earlier today: downloaded and installed a 30day trial of Photoshop CS 5 Extended (one step up from the CS 5 version) - it lets you work with 3-d images and objects. drool

i have to figure out how to save enough to get the new Creative Suite for Mac. Even with an educational discount it would be about 400 bucks.
The versions I have for Windows are old enough that I would pay that much just to upgrade Photoshop and Illustrator. So it's worth it to get the whole suite. I wish Adobe would start making software that doesn't need to be separate mac and windows versions, like Quark does. so much easier than having to keep investing.

Hey, setsail, did you see that Michelle Obama shopped at the Alexandria Target?!? laugh out loud Not that that is anywhere near me, but its a little weird to see the first lady at the Bullseye.

Had a phenomenal run tonight, makes me almost scared to go again. Big Grin But I have several more of the Nivea body wash coupons to use up before they expire, so I must go back tomorrow. I would love one of those produce cats or bakery cats that people are getting. drool

Life here is pretty crazy, what with school and all. Oh, a little update on hubby's situation: basically, his promotion/raise is dependent on the contract, which means the contract liaison has to push it through all the proper channels before we see any extra $$. And they also will wait until the contract rolls over to the next year, since we're so close to it (Oct. 16). This bites, because the mid-month pay period is Oct 15, so we miss it by a day. Which means we have to wait until the Nov 1 pay period. But ... it is a positive thing because the salary becomes more of a contractual thing than if it were just discussed around the table at his company's headquarters.

Considering this raise was hinted at/promised a year ago, its a little disappointing to hear that we have to wait another month to see it. But at the same time, we have gone the last 6 years learning how to pinch pennies til they scream, so what's 4 more weeks?! As long as the raise goes through in time for me to have a little fun on Black Friday, I'm good. Rofl2

TM4D, cool new wheels! We love our Mazda MPV and hubby has a Mazda for his commuter car. Not that we planned it that way, but we've been very happy with both vehicles, so I hope yours bring you as much joy!

OK, off to clean the kitchen, make lunches, and go to bed!

i admit to being very lazy about making stuff w/ the apples but i have an excuse. dh doesn't like applesauce, i don't like apple butter, we both like apple pies but long ago i decided not to bake at home b/c dh wouldn't watch what he was eating, so baked goods are rare at my house and truly a treat.

maybe i'll buy phyllo dough and make apple strudel. i have raisins, i think i have cinnamon and i do have one stick of butter that hopefully will last till thanksgiving when there will be a good sale. i think i'm going to end up babysitting bff's kids at least twice a wk from oct 20 till thanksgiving. that would be a nice project to keep them busy and plenty of people to eat it. and hopefully they'll eat it b/c they made it.

i could make baked apples.....i have raisins and target clearanced brown sugar. hmmm, another kiddie project.....
You could also do something with crescent rolls and apples. I got some from the B3G1 deal and I'm thinking about making some apple pockets. Smilie

It was meant a little sarcastically, I hope everyone realizes that but I should have specified. I know they are already cracking down, I've gotten speeches and screen scrolling for a few weeks now. *sigh* So it made me wonder if the stupid show and jerk couponers that are doing really stupid things would go away, would stores calm down? Wishful thinking.
The new season of Extreme Couponing just started, it's going to get even worse. Messed Up

ST, my personal favorite is a Roma apple. I much prefer the flavor of that one, and the skin isn't too tough, nor is the flesh mealy. Got a bunch from my grocery store the other day, and love having them for a snack.
My favorite is Gala though a good Granny Smith makes me happy too.

Mmm I need to make an apple pie! My 9 year old will only eat Red Delicious, thinks other types are too sour. I don't really have a favorite and will usually use a variety in a pie.
I'm making the Crumb Topped Apple Pie from this month's Taste of Home. It looks yummy!! Eat

Ooohh, crescent rolls and apples! Yummy!! And maybe some cream cheese and cinnamon... yummy

I also like Gala. Some Pink Lady apples are good, but they have to be at just the right ripeness, otherwise they're too soft and mealy inside.

Crescent rolls with apples sounds yummy! I love a ham/ cheese/ broccoli roll up recipe from Pampered Chef and it's so easy to make. I bet the apple one would be as well.

TM4D, congrats on the new car!!

Thanks gg hug....ha, it is mostly the garage and a little bit of the house in the background. I would get some more photos but I am waiting to get a few things up on the walls. Learned my lesson and I'm waiting until I make darn sure I have the rooms all situated the way I want them for awhile so I don't create more work for myself Stick Out Tongue That and I keep finding more things on Pinterest to do laugh out loud

Ugh, Photoshop, I know my brother could commiserate with you....he just upgraded a couple months ago from PC to Macs for his business (which is booming, yay for him woot) and had to switch everything over. And on top of the price for Macs alone it was quite a bit to stomach but I know he hasn't regretted it for a second. He was just showing me how everything works on his Mac laptop w/it one of the last couple wknds. he was here and it was amazing how fast it was. It has really improved his workflow. Pretty cool. But pricy. Pretty sure what I have is extended....though I really just use it for photos and some digital scrapbooking/digital "art" making like for photo cards, etc. on occasion.

That stinks, praying 10/16 comes fast for you and 11/1 as well Big Grin The wait is always stinky!

My DH's schedule is changing from 7:30-4:00 on that day. 10/16 must be a popular day laugh out loud I don't know if I ever reported the end to that story....shift bid happened and somehow, miraculously, he got this lovely schedule. He will be home every evening Yahoo! He still will have Thurs/Fri off instead of Sat/Sun but I am OK with that part....not ideal but this will be way better than what it is now or what it could have been for sure. I tell ya, it was divine intervention....out of 11 different schedules with 3-6 slots to be filled for each there was only 1 that started @ 7:30....all the rest were either 6-2:30 or 2:30-11 and one 11:00-8PM too. With his ranking it was just a miracle. Sooooo thankful!

I think the 5 was Mazda's continuation after the MPV though they overlapped a yr. or two?? It is a bit smaller, though I can't believe how big it feels inside for how small it is outside. Glad to know someone else likes their Mazda! It is really zippy and handles more like a car but yet doesn't feel quite like driving a car and has tons of the van-like features. Perfecto Smilie I have never gotten to research a car and really pick out the one that was best for us/me so this is pure heaven. I am sooooo short so the van, though wonderful, always seemed so big and hard to maneuver to me. Such a lovely little solution this is.

Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice ride!

House is coming along nicely. We should be closing at the end of Oct/beginning of Nov. I need to start packing us up again but I'm really in denial that they are actually going to let us move in there.
