thanks for the warning, as I'm in the market (only car is 15 years old and 255K miles on it now).
I called the dealership I bought my Rav-4 at and they wanted sticker price OMG and did not want to negotiate on a 2011. Nope, I wasn't born yesterday. Not gonna happen Nono2 I haven't looked since then, but I'm pretty sure I'm buying a Corolla LE.

I am trying to get some cleaning and organizing done today.. the holidays are fast approaching.. the decorations will be up soon and I can't stand the clutter.. Threw away 2 full bags of toys/junk from my DD room.. Then a bag from mine.. still so much more to do!

I have a Corolla Clone... Geo Prizm Lsi. Great car. Has been extremely reliable.

Car before that was also a Corolla Clone... 87 Chevy Nova Hatchback (looks exactly like the Prius does now) but it had a few problems once I hit 197K miles on it.

So, to my knowledge there isn't any more clones, so time to buy the real thing.

have you considered trading it in/selling it? right now used car prices are really high. bff is getting her 3 yr old acura mdx evaluated on friday when she has some warranty items fixed. why suffer any more if you can help it? time is also money besides all the money you have sunk into that car that you should not have had to.

we are on our 3rd japanese car and either everything has been under warranty and taken care of or it was something we did to the car and not the car's fault.

i did a little research. the harlem store you have to take the subway and then the bus so that's a pain and takes a long time and i'm not so sure it's 2 stories. queens center and atlantic terminal are both 2 stories and you can get there via subway but will take you 45 min to an hr. flushing i think is one story (i've been there but can't remember), does have the new carts and now has the first 3hrs of parking free but i've been there a couple times and it's a trek from the subway and it's rather spooky in the dark. i used to live nearby. imo that was a stupid place to put a target and move the old navy and then try charging $3 parking for the first hr. i was there twice this yr and totally deserted. but good for bargain hunting if i'd get more than 20-30 minutes to shop when i go. i'm hoping the ******cakes are still there on saturday! if you have to drive anyway, everyone would rather go to college point w/ free parking and lots of stores and restaurants or queens ctr and pay a dollar.

i just looked at a map. atlantic terminal is fairly close to downtown manhattan and open till 11pm. you could actually take the subway there after you do all your downtown activities like statue of liberty, wtc memorial and occupy wall street. it's not in the greatest area so i wouldn't go too late.

Definitely but dh overpaid for the car, plus added on a bunch of high pressure extra so we are still upside down on the loan. Then, Ford discontinued the model completely so value plummeted. It's worth way less than my Odyssey van that is the same model year. Mad

But yes, I worry about it steadily having more problems as it ages. *sigh*

We should visit Queens more often. DH's entire family, including all of his non-traveling relatives, lives there. It is just too crowdy and with 2 kids, we kind of take over. And they wouldn't dream of us staying in a hotel. I imagine we'll have to visit in the next few months.

A couple of questions - I have a Vaseline MQ, don't have it here w/ me, so don't remember specifics, but I hurriedly looked in the store the other day, & didn't see 1 thing that matched (the coupon has an extra zero) Frown . That will beep, right? Is there anything Vaseline that won't?
Last, I need to get some Halloween candy, as we have absolutely none in this houseEEK!. Are there any good candy coupons out? I tend to like those B1G1 type.
