how about the idiot who put his shopping cart behind my car to unload it and i hit it? the cart was lower than the back window and headrests so i couldn't even see it and it's metallic and the interior of my car is grey. and then he had the audacity to say what if there had been a human being in the cart? wtf??? how stupid can you be? it's not like i was sneaking around the parking lot in broad daylight and all of a sudden pulled out. he didn't notice somebody was in the car getting ready to leave? his grown-up daughter was smart and kept her mouth shut. he was the one who was wrong and should have apologized instead of getting mad. i could have hit him instead of the cart where he had no business being.

it's always better to park far away from a**holes and idiots except when it's raining.
I watched once as a grown man put his cart behind the car next to him, unloaded into his trunk, got into his car and left. Left the cart behind the other car even though the cart return was one space over on the other freaking side of his car. Mad People leaving carts randomly around is a pet peeve of mine, my van has so many parking lot injuries from idiots and shopping carts and/ or doors. I can understand if the person is handicapped, had surgery recently, but most other times, the average person can walk 10 feet or so to a cart return. jmo

st, I usually park in the back edges of parking lots anyways because it peeves me greatly when people nick my car with their doors. My favorite spots are usually near the farthest back cart return at T, I park along one side so that I know at least one side of the car is protected from idiots. They are probably the same idiots that can't seem to back their teeny car out of a parking space. lol

This is SO me! Everywhere I go regularly, I have my favorite spot that is least likely to get an ass parked next to me. I hate the super windy days too, the wind can be so strong that unless you hold on to your door, it's into the car next to you. I always make sure to hold my door and be very careful, but of course a careless idiot will park next to me.

Speaking of cars, I finally sold mine on Monday night and got a new one last night. Timing works out great so I only have to make a change to my insurance policy the one time. I've got some learning to do on the new bells & whistles in this car, but I'm sure it will feel like mine in no time at all. The weirdest thing to get used to is the proximity key and push button start, totally new to me!

^^^ this is why I heart Aldi's method and wish that all major chains would implement.

(You must have a quarter to get a shopping cart at Aldi's. You get your quarter back when you return it (or some kid gets a quarter when they return your cart)) Incentive for young 'uns to help clear the parking lot.

That is a great idea. I've never been anywhere that has that system before.

We might finally be back online! Whee Comcast/Infinity kept insisting that DH messed up the self install. They would tell him to try something and it would last for maybe a day and then we would be offline again. Then DH would go out of town and I could never get online. Finally they agreed to send a tech guy out to look at it. They told him he was fixing a failed self install and had on the paperwork that they were charging us $40! Mad They never told DH that. So he gets here at 9:30 am and he can not figure it out either. He admits it is NOT a failed self install and something is wrong with the equipment they sent us not just one equipment either, all of the stuff was messed up! He ended up having to switch every single thing out and he didn't get done until 2:30 pm!

He had the manager call DH and we ended up with a month of credit and not being charged for him to come out. It was annoying and I did not like having some strange guy in and out of my house all day, I couldn't relax but I did get a lot of cleaning done.

I still hate Com cast/Infinity! I wish we would have switched back to DirectTV! But DH said if we did all he would want to do is watch football constantly so maybe that is a good thing. I don't mind an occasional game but when it is all that is on all day all the time it starts giving me a headache and driving me nuts. I want to watch something sometimes too.

Thanks TN for the link to the FP MQs! hug I am very sorry for putting my foot in my mouth, I am sure I offended you. It was a long time ago but I still feel bad, I type before I think sometimes. I just hope you all realize that although sometimes I may say the wrong thing I would never ever intentionally hurt any one of your feelings or try to be snide or mocking. I love you guys and feel very privileged to have your friendships, it honestly means the world to me. When you don't see me post for days and weeks you can be sure I am missing and thinking of you all. hug

It took me a while to get used to the push button start. But now I enjoy not having to look for my keys in my purse anymore. As long as I have my purse, the car will start.

The first week I had it, I forgot to hit the off button when I left to eat lunch in the mall. I get back to it after lunch, and I'm like " I think my car is running" OOPS! EEK! I have never made that mistake again.

I just got my nephew's wife's wish list for Christmas.

He (nephew) sent me a link from best buy, but it's a Dyson DC25 All Floor (apparently new model is called DC25 Multi floor). Am I looking at a $400+ purchase?? (DC25 is in next week's ad preview for $399)

Maybe it will be the present for all three of them EEK!

I remember some of ya'll scored Dysons on clearance, but fat chance that will happen with a select model requested.

LOL, funny! It feels very weird getting in and out of the car without having a key in my hand. I have to figure out how to lock it though, like when I get out and the fob is in my purse. I know there's a button on the door panel, but not sure how it works.

I just went to Target for Qtips, and EEK! surprise, there were none of the $2.69 packs left. I'll have to hit the other store up later and see if they have any. I actually need these and would love to get them on the GC deal.

I found the Glade spray that's clearanced for $1.27, does the $1.50/2 TQ for fall Glade work on these?

Does anyone have a Tassimo and is it as easy as the Keurig? My son wants a Keurig for his office, but that darned mini is expensive. I saw a Tassimo on clearance for $49 and wondered how good that might be.

If I remember right, aren't you the generous one who gave them a HDTV last year? You are a great aunt to have!

The HDTV was the SIL and Bro's Family Gift. Bro got a Garmin 1450LMT and SIL got a new refrigerator.

Nephew and new wife got a queen size bed (they already had the mattress and box springs) last year.

On my Dodge, there is a tiny button on the outside handle. I push that and it will lock all the doors. It will only do that when it can sense my key. Sometime I have to move my purse next to the handle for it to sense it. When I grab the handle or just touch the inside of it, the car will unlock as long as it can sense the key. It's better at unlocking then it is at locking Confused

DC28 animal is the one I just got on clearance. Check to see if Kohls sells it. Then set a deal alert for DC25. I see a lot of threads where people will order it at Kohls and then use a 30% coupon. Then they call customer service to get a price match. The 30% still works on top of the price match. YMMV - as I have never tried this.

Yep, the fall Glade TQ works beeplessly on any of the clearance Glade. Ask me how I know... Evil

I've got that little button on the outside too, I just need to learn how to know that it is really locked. I will play around with it. I did figure out how to open the gas tank so far! laugh out loud

You won't regret it! We have a 2000 corolla w/ 177000 mi on it, and a 2000 sienna w/ 168000 miles. Both were purchased used, around 4-5 yrs old each. And first time either of us have ever purchased foreign vehicles. Sadly, I can now say I will never buy American again.

As part of my constant reminder TNBAF (to never buy another Ford), dh's car is 3 years old and has 32,000 miles. So far, he has had the a/c repaired, power mirrors repaired, his radio is BROKEN, battery stopped working today, transmission has been repaired, brakes and tires need to be replaced before his safety inspection in January. I don't freaking believe all the problems on a car that is 3 years old. Mad Cheap, crappy Continental tires that Ford put on there, and now it's going to cost $550 for tires, don't have a quote yet on the brakes. Spent $100 on a battery today.

There are CDs stuck in the radio, and they have to remove the radio, sent it to the factory, and someone there will take the CDs out and hopefully mail them to us.

I could see having a bunch of problems if the car were older, and had more miles but 32,000? Really Ford?? Quality isn't job one any longer. eta car in question is 2008 Ford Taurus X, in case anyone is wondering.
That's a shame! The Taurus used to be one of those cars people would buy because of it's reputation for reliability! Nice way to cut off your nose to spite your face, Ford. Frown
