Morning peeps Wave I stayed up until 3 am trying to get some housework done. My house has been neglected far too long. I know it isn't a slick deal, but I am totally ready to pay a housekeeper to come clean it laugh out loud Seems like every time I get started, I end up needing to stop to go do something for one of the kids. And when my youngest asks me to come spend time with her, I have a hard time refusing. I told DH that when she is all grown up, I will have a neat and tidy house and be sad that there is no one there to mess it up Frown

Anyway, spent almost 2 hours in the dining room cleaning off my bookshelf.. Being a homeschool mom for 10 years means we have accumulated a *ton* of books. Now that #2 will graduate in a few weeks and #3 is going into 10th grade, I have a ton of middle school books to get rid of. It will be many years before #4 gets to that point and I don't want to store all these books until then. Gonna look for a local family I can donate them to.

After cleaning all that stuff and stirring up so much dust, I can hardly breathe this morning! my throat is so scratchy and I ended up getting up and going onto the couch at 6 am so I didn't disturb my DH and DD..

Early start to my day, but other than the throat, I feel okay..

In my cleaning, I found an entire unopened envelope of coupons I had purchased.. a whole set of caprisun b3g1.. they expired this week, but I am gonna try to use them up and not let them go to waste.. We will be swimming in caprisun!

Does your church have a homeschooling group? hug I hope you feel better now.

I woke up and it felt like my eyes were glued shut. Darn those allergies, it's really bad this year.

Morning everyone!!

Wow what a busy weekend this has been. My guys are gone on a campout so it has just been DD and I. We have shopped so much and guess what...yup I have to go again today. lol
Yesterday we had to go to the mall to search for the perfect bathing suits. Right, like that is even possible. She is in great shape (like most 19yr olds),has been training for a marathon, has lost about 20 pounds since Jan, and I...well...I am just me. Embarrassment So while it was great to watch her having fun trying them on and saying how 'hot' she looks in them...I was standing by the fitting room entrance scared to death to even walk thru the door. I finally found one that was not too young looking, not too old looking and actually fit, but more importantly, one that I would feel comfortable going out in public wearing! I had dreaded this day for awhile. I tried to workout everyday to help get ready but I swear the parts that I wanted to tone up just never did. So while I still cringed at the sight of me in the mirror wearing a bathing suit, I think I may be ready to face the crowds in Florida and be somewhat happy with my self!Big Grin (my somewhat overweight self, which reminds me that it is NOT a good idea to eat Pizza Hut the night before trying on clothes!!)

Now normally I wouldn't care cause I don't know any of those people down there, however, our whole school band, some teachers and lots of parents/families from our school will be there. Oh the pressure!

I did make a run into target yesterday and IDK if it has been posted about in deals, but there is a section in the new value area that has packs of Dixie paper goods. They are priced at $2 and makes a pretty decent deal with the $1.50/2 TQ that is out. I bought a pack of the on the go coffee cups and there was a red cpn packet that had various $1tq's for dixie items, so would make them $1pack. Not sure if there are any mq's that you could stack with it to make a better deal. I am running low on paper plates so wanted to pick up a few for my stash.
Bought a lot of various Mossimo items and that darned cpn beeps on EVERYTHING! so frustrating.

We had a new grocery chain open up here, named Harps. There registers are pretty darn smart. Policy is to only double 2 like cpns and registers are set up ONLY double first 2, all after that only deduct once. I am used to it being up to the cashier. But this leads me to why I have to go back shopping today (even though everything around here is 30-45min drive). They are having a grand opening sale and have whole ckns for 69c pound. I have never cooked a whole chicken but really want to try it and then do various meals out of it.

This store was handing out cpns for FREE items yesterday. We were amazed at the people just leaving them in their carts as they left. I mean who doesn't redeem a cpn for totally free items. One was a $4.99 item! I felt obligated to grab them up and use them. woot
Hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday!

morning.

off in a little bit to claim my target bag and go to origins and try to swap for a free moisturizer.

i think the only other freebie today is michaels is having a tote decorating for kids from 1-3pm.

starbucks will fill a reusable coffee cup in canada only! no lightbulbs from home depot. cheapskates!

oh yes, saw hunger games courtesy of k-y on friday b/c dh really wanted to see it and nagged me for 2 days (also b/c he of course hadn't read all the instructions and put in the k-y code and then it was only good for 30 days after that). i don't exactly understand how this book could have been so popular. maybe it's yet another case of the book being better than the movie. if i had kids, not so sure if i would want them reading a book about kids killing other kids to entertain the privileged. i will euphemistically say it takes a huge imagination to come up w/ that story line. i can see some unstable people unfortunately turning it into reality.

i also tried on the ruffled tank yesterday and i have to say it was very aging in style.

as to purplefdu's (iirc) comment about the mossimo tees needing to be layered. bff had gone shopping at justice and told me teen and tween clothes are a scam. they make it so thin it has to be layered so you are always buying 2 items instead of one, ie tank w/ tank, tank w/ tee, tee w/ tee, top w/ little shrug type sweater/hoodie and that's how they get you to spend more money.

i have some merona tees from last yr and while i love the material, the round neck ones are baconing like the hanes commercial. i got a l/s tee the yr b4 and absolutely love it, but it's black so it's fading and has shrunk a little bit. wish i'd gotten more in other colors.

I disagree! Housecleaner = more time with kids and for shopping. IMO, that = a major slick deal! Big Grin

Seriously, though... I have the same problem. Cleaning is never quite done enough here. My oldest is going into 10th - looks like we'll be in the same boat this year with HS!

Hope you have a good time in FL! Thanks for the info on the Dixie stuff - we could always use more paper products here.

Teehee Not sure why, but that struck me as funny. A few years ago I would've cringed at the thought of buying K-Y (in any amount), but now I think I have no such inhibitions. Actually, I know I have no such inhibitions! DH and a buddy went to see Cabin in the Woods courtesy of K-Y. Big Grin

Good morning all, cold and rainy here today, not complaining my yard was was parched, I'm to cheap to water.

Got my feet wet at walgreens, my brain hurts, I really am in awe of wags regular shoppers, I don't know how you guys figure this stuff out.

I did nine transactions, left with more registr rr's.

Does anybody have a way of re-working these transactions to maximise rewards that simplifies it ? Is it just trial and error

Any tips on organising transactions would be greatly appreciated.

Cvs is constantly oos on sale items for the last few months , sale signs are not posted , they are starting to really bug me and I'm tired of wasting my time, even though I have one less than a mile away, and the people that work there are always friendly.

I have decided to try and tackle wags though it terrifies me, looks like the potential for transactions
to go terribly wrong are high for a newbie.

The thing with Wags is it can be highly profitable, but yes, it does give me a headache, and requires much more planning/forethought than the other DS. The 3 that are "close" to me are not super convenient so I only go if I know there's a fool-proof MM or cheap item that's guaranteed to be in stock. laugh out loud Which means I go there very rarely!

Just finished up my second cup of coffee and I guess I better get myself moving. Recovering from a cold and a week of craziness at church. Such a relief to just sit and not do anything. heart

Wags is a challenge for sure. You have a plan and then they don't have any in stock. You need a plan A and a plan B for sure. Always have a calculator with you. I use the calculator on my phone all the time.

good afternoon.

found 6 mp apple juice yesterday and they'd lowered the price from 1.02 to .57. bounce when have you ever seen a price basically go 50% lower? of course the tq expired the day b4 but i shouldn't complain.

got a 39.50 moisturizer free from origins yesterday. they didn't even collect my container for recycling which i'll just do at home. but 1.7oz tube is full size and they charge 39.50 for the same amt in a jar? i thought it was travel-sized.shake head

I did probably 30 transactions yesterday. I will post how I rolled my transactions in just a short while. May be useful to someone.

Took DS to dentist. Looks like one more month of retainer and turning it. Then we get to move on to brackets/bands. woot
They also told me that they are showing that I have a huge credit amount showing on my account!! I have been paying quite a bit every month PLUS what the insurance has been paying. I have it set up on a 20mo. contract and really want it paid off much faster. Waiting on call back from them with my payoff amount..I know I can't pay it off today but maybe after vacation in June.

Here are a few of my walgreens transactions that I did Sunday:

If you have the $6rr from last week (similasan), I did this:
1-Icool 10=2mq=8.00
1-kotex 3.99-1mq=2.99
2-butterball broth .59ea w/ivc=1.18
12.17 use 2 $6rr pay .17 get back 10rr and 3rr

First off I did several to turn over my $6/$9rr from last week and then continued to roll between these 2 transactions:

1 psoriasin 5.00
1 kotex 3.99-1mq=2.99
2.01 needed in filler items (again tried to get stuff that was on my grocery list)
10.xx-$10 icool rr= .xx get $5 and $3

Here are some things I got for my $2.xx filler:
Nice OJ $1.99 (added .10jellybeans) so oop was .08
Nice trash bags $2.99 oop was .98
Jimmy dean biscuit sandwich $1.99 (added .12 easter) oop .11
Diamond tea (was on my grocery list so big savings) 2.69 oop.68 (did this one 3x's)
2 on the border chips 4.00-1.10mq=.89 oop

So Basically I just go down my grocery list and find what I would HAVE to buy anyways and try to get as much of that stuff.

1- Icool 10-2mq=$8
2 filler items (here I picked up small things we would use)
I found this to be the hardest part, to keep oop low.
2 cheese stix@ .39=.78
8.78 -8rr (use kotex and psoriasin)=.78 get back $10rr

When all was said and done...I paid very little oop for most of my grocery list items which I then had that extra money as savings..
Make sense?Big Grin

The best part of WG for me is to be able to use the Moneymaking RR's to buy as much of my groceries as possible and pocket my grocery money!! It really is a win win!!
If you have any questions or need more help, I would be happy to try. JLMK

Wow !, thanks for the Barney style, look like you did great!

I wound up with OM bacon x4, 9 Kotex, (which is what I was (really after) dove bw, chicken stock ,x4, potting soil x 5 , suntan lotion x1, oh and a raid bug max , in anticpation of a buggy summer, never get free potting soil
so this was a good use for me., even if it was a little pricey for the amt in the bag came to nothing oop and had plenty of stock ..

I have no idea what was in what transaction at this point, but I spent $11oop for 132.08 savings and $6.00 RR left.

I have six RR left 2x 3 so maybe I'll ask you to check next weeks run for ideas , or suggestions.

Thanks !

Thanks every one for your replies, I was really happy doing cvs deals,
until the no stock plague Mad.

Will give wags a shot and see how this goes .nod
