Diet DOES affect behavior. Some kids more than others. I am amazed to find how many foods that I am sensitive to since I've overhauled JJ's diet. Tomatoes make me grizzly...and I cannot eat Pace salsa at all. Idk if it is the combo of vinegar & tomatoes, but boy did I ever feel PMSy & instant headache the 2 times I ate it after cleaning up my diet.

We've never looked for a diagnosis either, but my mama bear instinct has known what the deal was, and once we acknowledged that (hubby and me) it explained so much of his behavior. And it helps us understand certain things require a decidedly different approach. For example - the whole issue with his potty training. He could *not* get the #2 thing down. Kindergarten was just around the corner and he was still having accidents and it was actually someone on here (dealhog, I think) who said that this is typical of ASD kids. Its called withholding. Knowing that took such a load off my shoulders because I thought I was such a bad mom who couldn't potty train her own child. It helped my husband and me rework our approach on this and we had great success with it.

It makes you wonder what kind of garbage is in our food that we eat everyday. Kind of scary. My sister does all kinds of research for her blog and also because her kids are allergic to quite a few things. She has started making a lot of things herself, including sour cream and such.

didn't get a chance/make an effort to go to target this wknd. looks like i missed out on both slickdeals. waiting to see if anybody tried them this morning. ah well, i really didn't need more moisturizer or frozen veggies, that's why i didn't rush out to get them.

Can't remember if I mentioned, but we got to go be chaperones at Hershey Park on Saturday! Our church's private school does "Punt the Prom" (a supervised/chaperoned activity that takes place over 2 days and takes the place of a "real" prom) and the other couple who was going to chaperone couldn't make it, so we were the runners' up. Big Grin So much fun. I love that amusement park anyway, but the weather was so beautiful there, in the 70s with a nice strong breeze. Didn't do any water rides, but we rode the roller coasters and such and just had a really nice time. I am SO hoping Giant, one of our grocery stores, runs that promo again where you buy x amount of groceries and get free HP tickets. laugh out loud

My daughter graduates kindergarten in 2 weeks. Faint But before that, my dad's surgery takes place. I'll be up in MI next week for 3 days. Yikes. Not looking forward to it.

Anyway, have a great afternoon, everyone! And photos, glad your sale went fairly well! Hope you're successful in getting the last little bit of $$ together!

IIRC you do gsales or flea market...Nivea is a hot seller for me...when I actually have time to shop & sell. Sadwalk Little stinkers were living up to their name today. This afternoon I swear they were trying to MMA fight and little Noah just giggles away as they pound on each other. My Props are certainly a horse of a different color!

Nivea sells well for me also. btw most of the lip balms are no longer prompting for gift card. There is one that is called Kiss of Shine, it's a pink tube, and it does still qualify. eta whoops! wrong to assume.

Haha hug Will has been running around like a F*^&ing lunatic the past few days. I know it's the new baby, but God give me the strength not to strangle that boy after he runs head first into my stomach after a c-section.

Really? I did the deal with one lotion that rang up 4.85 and then 2 of the tins, and this was around 4:00 or a little after, and it worked.

I edited my post because I posted incorrect info. No tins here at the store I went to, whether they were pulled or someone bought the entire box that was there when I left at 5 pm yesterday.

Oh, ok. Smilie I had read in the thread that one lip balm wasn't working, and I couldn't remember what it was so I didn't bother with any of them. I did see that pink tube, though, so might try that one. Hoping to get a few more deals in tomorrow before the tins are completely gone. laugh out loud

I had two different other lip balms, 3 of each, and neither grouped for a gift card. One is the medicated tube (which did prompt yesterday) and the other is one with a blue cap. Kiss of Mint and Minerals is what the package states.

I have done GS in the past.. but not anymore. I just don't have the time or energy these days.. plus I am totally tired of storing the stuff and all the hagglers.. A few months back I sold a crap ton of my surplus to a reseller for dirt cheap just to save the hassle for myself. I would honestly rather work an extra shift at my job than to sit out in the heat and deal with people most of the time Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) so, I am trying to really not bring things home that we won't use..
I think I still have a tote of Nivea too Wink
