everyone out shopping. Hope your knee feels better soon. We went out hiking today, it was so nice and warm, finally! Then came home and I threw a few quick Target runs together DH & I each did one. It was great day. Except my back is killing me right now. To much fun I guess.

First time fishing today too ank, missed you hug made for a pretty nice quick dinner after a busy day.

hug Aw, I hope your knee feels better soon! Even just a little pain can be frustrating.

She has... and it's frustrating for us all. She's had a rough time of schooling this year because of it all - too much pain and hard to concentrate.

I totally understand what you are saying about earning space. Smilie

I had wanted to have a slightly better planned garden, but I didn't know how things would grow at this house. Plus, it's the first year my 4 y.o. & 20 m.o. have ever experienced a garden (and my first real garden in a good 6 or 7 years), so I did some "space wasters" that I probably would not normally do. I wanted them to see some quick results and have fun pulling up things like radishes and carrots. I guess it's a learning year for us! I definitely want to do some more unusual or heirloom veggies too.

I do plan to put some raised beds in - and if I had my way I'd probably do 90% of our yard in gardens... lol. But I tend to go crazy so I am telling myself to do a little here and there and build up to what I want. I do have some herbs in the front. I didn't plant basil this year, but I have oregano, garlic chives, and thyme from the previous owner. I have mint in pots also. I would love to expand my herbs to rosemary, sage, and a couple others I use a lot.

I have some rhubarb I want to get in its own bed. It's probably a space waster, but it's one of those things that remind me of my childhood so I am going to grow it anyway... lol I plan to do an asparagus bed - we LOVE it here and it's so expensive.

I've heard/done companion planting before, but I desperately need some brushing up on my garden planning! I wish I could find some of the books I had when I was younger.

On another note, I went fishing today and caught 4! My very first fishing trip. I was surprised that the store wasn't as busy as I thought. Not complaining, though, as it seems that no one else seems to care about the fish around here. That, or I caught them after restocking!

DH has been sick all week with a NASTY virus or infection. I am terrified the little kids will come down with it because it will be even less pleasant for them (and me!) I think DH made it through without a doc/er visit by sheer force of will, and I don't think they have his kind of will! I am very much hoping for an easy week!

So... that's the nutshell of my life this week. *laugh*

Oh - I did notice I have morning glory vines invading my garden. That will be interesting, I think... I am just hoping they don't choke out my other plants!
I need to plant a garden, or at least get some containers going.
I will have to look into companion planting, sounds like a good idea. I have heard that spacing out certian herbs or garlic in the garden help with pests.

DH had the same thing, he was so sick. All the kids got sick after he did but they are young and healthy so they all had it a way shorter time than he and none of them got as sick. I managed to fight off getting to sick, whew.

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!!!

morning.

Happy Mothers Day!

i think everyone went out fishing yesterday. i did also and caught my first 2 fish! so addictive! i wanna go again but i need to find another aquarium to keep my fish in. been toying w/ the idea to get a small freezer. we don't have that deal w/ the 18x.xx freezer w/ coupons around here. if i find one 50% off at target i'm getting it. like i've been telling bff, nowadays, the good deals have been few and far between for a yr or 2 now. shoprite only sells the eggos for .99 once a yr now in sept for a wk, otherwise the cheapest are around 2.00 the rest of the yr. target did have a deal a couple months ago where it would have come out the same but i had to pass b/c no room in the freezer. also ground turkey sales are coming further and further apart. i used to never run out but i've been dry for over a month or 2. and of course when it rains, it pours. bought almost 4 lbs in a good sns deal and then same day i found 3lbs half price ground chicken that was not short-dated that ended up free. so now i have to get it all in the freezer in the next couple days. so right now i can't go fishing again.Frown waaah! i wanna go fishing!

Now I'm glad I haven't used my Spectracide MQs since T put out a $3 TQ to go with it. Sometimes I get a bonus when I procrastinate...

Happy Mother's Day--My one and only is out digging in the garden and most likely rolling in bird poop.

ETA Sorry, I posted in the wrong thread, hope it isn't going to be one of those days.

Spectracide Weed & Grass Killer, Triazicide or Bug Stop, $3/1 Print [coupons.com] 99218, but I don't see it at that zip, so it may be dead (and not reported as such).

I don't see it there either. bummer must be gone.

I did have one i printed earlier so was able to use it and the tq on a bottle of the weed killer that was $3.49, no beeps!

Went fishing for the first time and my bait did not like my fish. Frown Bought the $1.87 steamfresh and lemon VDK. Did not take off for the fish so had it removed from my order. Kept the steamfresh cause it looked quite tasty! Not sure why it wouldn't work.

Love the lunchmeat deal. Got a few of those with the $1tq which doesn't like the group so hangs out at bottom.
Didn't really have alot of time to shop today. But did manage to get my 25 starbucks refreshers from WG! Now to figure out what to do with 25 99cent RR. laugh out loud BTW, manager had ordered the drinks for me so I didn't have to clear any shelves.

Went to Sam's Club and picked up the video camera we had looked at. Seems to be really nice. Also found 2 very cute shirts that will work great for our 'fancy' vacation dinners.

WM paid me $1.72 cashback today. If you still have the $2 beneful MQ, be on the lookout for $1 bags of dogfood. Bought 12 bags for some awesome (and easy) Overage!

Now we are off to watch (and video) my DS at a band event for graduation.

Happy Mother's Day Ladies!!

If anyone knows of any Ensure deals, can they please let me know. My father-in-law was recently diagnosed with blood cancer and had to drink 4 cans a day.

I have Wags, CVS, Target, Walmart, Kmart (but it's a long drive). The only major grocery store is Pick 'n save (rainbow foods) I think they are mainly in WI & MN.

I glanced at the Wags and CVS wikis but didn't seen anything except for one week in June, Wags has Ensure Muscle on sale. But I doubt that would work for him. Shoot I don't even know how much this stuff cost.

I wonder if they sell it at Sam's club?

Nikayla - hug Missed you too! Sorry your DH & kiddoes were sick - I hope that if mine catch it they will be like yours and have an easier time than DH!

Container gardening can be a good idea when you are short on space and/or time.

I just noticed today that we have a wayward tomato growing in a pot on our back porch. Teehee

Teenbean - so sorry to hear about your FIL. Comfort

Does it have to be Ensure? CVS used to have deals on Ensure - but I haven't shopped there in ages. There are often $3/2 Ensure coupons out, and sometimes better. Once upon a time, they used to put out b2g1 coupons. It also couldn't hurt to contact Ensure via email and ask if they have coupons/rebates. Sometimes they send you something. Also, if he can have it, Boost often has deals at Target and the drugstores.

I know everyones tired of the fishing deals, but not only did my target change brands, they moved them to a new spot. So for those looking, make sure you keep an open mind for brand change possibly and change of "fishing venue lol"
