I know some of you do HD (the forum) but it drives me nuts Crazylaugh I'm already too bonkers to read from there every day. I can't stand the copy of a PM I get from HCW. I can't imagine getting emails from SD too.

HDD... (staples response) Paper towels? Clorox/Lysol wipes?

Don't use wipes. Maybe I should. Could use more paper towels. Thanks tn.

jteef1 Hug2 I wouldn't say that (but you have to admit it's amusing to read the posts that are all banging their heads agains the wall and then the joy when something actually works, or even over pays you)... And you were the one that thought that returning something a week later to get a price adjustment would be easy... In your dreams... it's Kmart!

I've been swamped this week, so I haven't read the thread in quite some time.
OMG entertainment? and you didn't tell me?Annoyed

i started out in HD but i found my time was better spent in the drugstore forum. i guess if i was more into computers, electronics and gaming i would still be in hd. but me, i'm slow technologically. drugstore forums helps w/ the grocery shopping, hba, gift shopping and other regular day to day concerns.

so tn, will you be my cleaning buddy? doesn't have to be every day. more like 2-3x/wk. i'm challenged to even put all the stuff away when i run my errands 1-2/wk. we could do it in the diet group. instead of exercise buddies we can be cleaning buddies there. it is exercise too. i sometimes view exercising as somewhat a waste of time and effort. what other living being runs around just for the sake of running around? what other living being lifts weights, pedals, walks, runs to nowhere, just does it staying in place? i kind of feel if we are lifting weights we should be moving boxes, digging ditches. if we are running or pedaling, we should be delivering something. there should be some purpose behind it other than to burn extra calories that we didn't during the course of the day.

i got this view from volunteering in the biology lab in high school. one time somebody caught a brown mouse in school and they put it in a glass tank w/ a wheel. that mouse would run on the wheel all day. run, run, run, run. sometimes it would run, run, run and then hold on and do loop de loops like a ferris wheel. it was obvious that it was used to moving around quite alot but in the glass tank there was nowhere to go so it ran on the wheel. there was also a tank of white mice who would just huddle in the corner and barely move and certainly never used the wheel in their tank. they were really plump and fat compared to the sleek-bodied brown mouse. eventually the brown mouse escaped. don't think the white mice could survive out in the real world w/o getting fed.

i kinda see first world countries as the fat white mice w/ our sedentary lifestyle and all our diet and exercise issues and third world countries as kind of like the brown mouse in that they do not need a gym membership or make time during their week to exercise to stay in shape. thru working hard every day to make a living or grow their food, they get plenty of exercise and don't need to take the time to go to the gym to work out. of course they die earlier of other causes but they also don't have as many chronic health issues like diabetes, hypertension, etc.

i know the reason modern man needs to exercise is b/c much of the time work no longer involves physical activity, that many of us spend hours just staring at a screen and typing and then we go home and spend more hours just staring at a bigger screen. iirc, i read that the pioneers used to eat 3000-3600 calories/day and didn't have any weight issues. but people in modern countries only need 1800-2400 calories/day now and we still have to exercise at least 1/2-1 hr/day if we eat that much.

i like for my exercise to have some purpose other than to burn calories. when i go for an exercise walk w/ bff, i like to bring grocery bags and pick up the garbage along the walking trail. part of it runs along a thru road and i think people park and hang out very late at night. we always find all sorts of cheap vodka bottles and even mouthwash bottles. also food wrappers, mcdonalds wrappers, recyclables that got blown out of the bins b4 collection on windy days. we can fill 2-4 grocery bags full of garbage every single day. we stopped for awhile b/c it slows down the pace and bff wanted to get a better workout. but i feel bad just walking by all the garbage i see when we don't do it.

i especially hate vacuuming. i think it's b/c i never had an upright until i got my 50% dyson animal couple yrs ago and i'm just not used to it. i also got a canister dyson but the upright does a better job on carpet. vacuuming does give me a good workout. i tore my ACL in a skiing accident and if i vacuum a lot my knee hurts and i need to wear my brace which means i've been doing a lot of side to side motion. so i put it off, put it off, put it off.

so it would be great if i got someone who would encourage me and push me at times. we could do it together. pm me or we can talk about it in the diet group if you are interested. or if anybody else wants to be my cleaning buddy......

If you need help with cleaning you could try flylady.com every week they have a zone that they work on. http://www.flylady.net/c/sp.php. I follow them on facebook, The bad thing is they keep try to sell you their stuff, so I just try to look at the calender and see what the plan is for the week.

Ok, I am totally bad at even doing the zones. So if you want to do a cleaning buddy thing, let me know.

Cleaning buddies are a great idea! At this point, I think I could use a cleaning lady to come in for the next few weeks. Embarrassment

Today I washed most of the throw pillows and one couch cover, two more couch covers and another load of throw pillows to wash. This week's goal is to get all of the blankets etc that the kids hoard on their beds washed because it might be a while before they get washed again.

Probably. Technically it's 7/21 but tomorrow I can schedule the c-section. My OB has been in conferences and on vacations for the last month so I wasn't able to get in contact with her so going to call tomorrow when she is back in office. I'm looking at 7/2 and right now that makes it seem like holy cow, so much to do and not much time left.

I know what you mean. I remember when I was about 4 weeks from my due date and the doc said we're scheduling induction...I looked at him Bigeye and he said we could induce tonight. I told him to give me the weekend to get last minute stuff done.

My OB said she would schedule as early as 6/25, pending amnio results of course, but the OB I've seen while the other one was out said she wouldn't recommend it before 7/2 because the chance of lung maturity is higher just those few days later. This weekend wasn't bad because we had some rain and the temps were lower but when it's above 85 and humid, I've been so uncomfortable. I know each week is going to be worse.

Couch cushions had to be washed because I noticed that they smelled. lol It's more comfortable to kind of lay on the couch than sit up, and with some smelly teens, yeah those couch cushions needed some help.

IIRC they consider 37 weeks full term.

Sorry about the heat & discomfort! I thank my lucky stars that my only summer baby was JJ...August and thankfully we lived in SoCal at the time. Sunny & 70 year round.

I'm calling it a night. Boys wake up early...teen the crack of 10 when I scream at her. laugh out loud

Military hospital is requiring the amnio for anything before 39 weeks. When the OB first offered an early c-section I thought she was crazy but now I realize she knows what she is talking about!!

Monkey puppy (almost 5) was born in September, after a super hot August in southern Virginia. It was horrid.

Night, I'm heading to bed myself in a few.

I've been using flylady , and it works, or if something is bugging me that's not on the list , I tackle it for 15 minutes...

I had gotten scattered with the cleaning and just couldn't get back into any kind of routine, this works if you follow it , keeps you focused and is systamatic.

I just lookk at the sneak peek for the week and go with that.
