Celebrate the lives they had and the relationships you had.

Comfort that it is difficult to be left here and deal with the grief.

Back from vacation Smilie We had just a lovely time in St. Louis. DD's favorite place was The Magic House....and of course the zoo - she had taken her piggy bank money to go to the build-a-bear there and got an elephant that she completely decked out in clothes, shoes, etc. it was very special. That is one awesome zoo and I'm not really a huge zoo person either. City Museum was quite the sight to see although dd was I think a little apprehensive because it's just a little bit "dark" in there. Already planning a second trip when she's a bit older! I think we could have spent two days in each place we went there was just so much to do.

Oh and Photos thanks again for the gymbo coupon - was able to use it on this trip to score some awesome deals!

Trying to figure out some 1 year old boy birthday ideas. I was hoping to sew something, but I don't know what.
I hear that handmade superhero capes are all the rage these days....he would maybe be a little bit young for it but could grow into it Smilie

I am so sorry cathi hug I know there's nothing I can say to take your pain away but please know that you have my prayers. Life IS short as others have said. Loss is just so hard, especially when you've had to experience so much so unexpectedly in a short period of time. Hugs, hugs, hugs. Comfort

I'm reeling my brother in law(mysisters dh) just lost his brother, after just losing my sis.

He was 54 and part of our posee in high school , later became bil and have stayed in touch over the years ,he was now extended family!

He was 54 and died of a heart attck in his sleep. I will miss him.

This has been three funerals in about a month of extended family members, two on my side and one on husbands.

I'm kind of drowning in grief.

.
Sorry for all your losses. I feel for you, In 11 month period I had 5 relatives die, one including my mom. Over time your pain will lessen but you will always miss then. I try to make things happier if I think at times what my mom would think or enjoy and enjoy it for her. Maybe you can do the same with those that you were really close to and have a harder time missing them.

You are very welcome. Glad you scored some deals.

And let me add that we LOVE St. Louis zoo. Haven't been in a couple years but last time we went it was FREE!!! Is it still that way? Free admission, small fee to park and there are some attractions and such that you could pay extra for, but we were always just happy walking around the regular zoo part. It is about 6hrs or so from me so it is not a day trip, but something that we would have to stay overnight for, I think. And now that my kids are teens/young adults, it is just soo much harder to find the time that works for everyone. Frown

Man now I wanna go to the zoo!!

Next question..Do I NEED an Ipad? and does the $25gc wyb that starts tomorrow constitute a good enough deal to get it now? I have been on a mission to pay for some small things/or not so small things we have needed. So we bought a new Stainless Stove and I made enough money in 2wks on FB local buy/sale/trade sight to pay for it. So now I am addicted to selling all my overstock, clothes and video games on there. Don't have to sit out in 100* heat having a yard sale!!
But my next goal was to pay for dh's new BBQ grill he got ($400!!)...not an Ipad!shake head But I really think I would get alot of use out of one. lol

Uggh I hate making big girl decisions!

BTW hello all, I have been too busy on FB to even get on here to chat.Embarrassment

You're right about the StL zoo... it is great, and still free! The only complaint I might have would be that the signage is terrible. You constantly have to ask for directions as the signs are very misleading.

IF you are going to get an iPad, go with the iPad2, and find some clearance deals online. IMO, it's not worth full price to get the iPad3 (new iPad). And unless you're planning on getting a ton, and I mean a TON of apps, the 16gb will do just fine. I got my iPad2 in mid-October of last year, and I'm not even close to filling it up. And if I do, I'll transfer pics to my laptop and delete seldom used apps, and use the cloud...

HTH!

Yep what Bronc said, still free. Parking was $15 and we did pay for the safari passes ($10 apiece) this time given the zoo was free....ended up well worth it as the things we did with the pass would have exceeded $10 although I don't know that if we ever went again we'd feel the need to do some of those things again. The free part is awesome enough. And Bronc - I am SOOOOO GLAD someone else thinks the signage is terrible. I'd looked at the map online, had a hard time understanding just that and when we got there it all was just as confusing. I figured it was just me LMAO Oh well, on a positive note that meant that we walked and walked and walked which was good exercise Smilie I think the hippopotamus up close was my favorite...or the elephants. The sea lions were neat too.

iPad....well need would be stretching but we've had ours for a couple years now and are constantly finding new uses for it. DD uses it a lot, etc. There is always SOMETHING to do on the iPad laugh out loud I agree 16gb is probably fine....movies take up a ton of space too; we put on 2-3 at a time for dd though and just switch them out every now and again....we really only use the movies for traveling as she would choose Netflix over those couple movies when we are connected to the internet anyway.

I'm getting addicted to selling too....on eBay....pretty much just dd's outgrown clothing at this point. I thought about checking into the local FB buy/sell groups but name brand clothing tends to sell better on eBay at least around here....everyone just wants cheap clothes and they don't care what brand it is Teehee Getting prepped to list a bunch of things this week.

Wave morning HDD.

I shopped at CVS yesterday and will today too. I need to master CVS before Wags goes further off the cliff.

Nivea Men's Q10 Shaving Cream is $4.79 here, $3 IP in the printable thread. Gives back $2 ECB with each purchase and supposedly the Red Coupon Machine is printing out $4/$20 purchases today.

setsail how's your handsome young man?

Thanks Bronc and TM4D. Just the info I was looking for. Yes my DS(15) has the Ipad2 and says that I should just get it, cause for the price difference you are not getting anything better w/new ipad. Thought maybe he just didn't want me to have a newer gadget than him. LOL But now I see he is probably right!
Definately not a NEED but I do 'want' one which means in my mind I need one. HA! Yes 16gig would be more than enough, I am sure.
Now to just decide if I need it NOW?? Pretty sure that is a no! But.....

Thanks for all the input. Hope you all have a great day! Supposed to be a nice warm 100* here today..That means hanging out in the back yard in the pool!!! FUN for sure!
