Now, off to check my usually dead Target near the border to NC and see if they are at 70% for food... The way my hubby crushes that Pirate's Booty, I need to get as much as I can
And for some kicks and giggles.... when I looked at the Wiki and saw Slowtech had me listed as WikiBee, all I could think of was my lil one's costume this year, a Bumblebee (slash Steeler for anyone who watched the game last Sun with those hideous uniforms)! Enjoy

i moved that long quote to the beginning of the FAQ's wiki. i thought it would be a nice intro to shopping at target. i also moved the acronyms down there also. and i repaired the target thread rules, i copy and pasted it from a retired 2010 thread from b4 it got messed up w/ those weird question marks in diamonds.
we can start putting the new deals in the first wiki. many of the current deals expire tonight so they will be deleted.
wow that coupon wiki #3 is big! unfortunately i think it's gonna have to stay that way as #3 wiki. at least for now. imho, i think it makes sense that the target web coupons, the target insert coupons and the mobile coupons are all in one separate wiki since it takes up so much real estate.
let's see what happens after we put the deals into wiki #1. maybe we can move the coupons up one wiki.
Personally, I prefer the Deals Wiki to be first, since that's what I use more when mobile. I usually shop with my one year old
There is still a little more duplication to get out of the Wiki, and I've been trying to get rid of outdated info (ie TQ generators/mpp, coupon websites that are no longer in business, etc) and make sure that the links are all current. I think that the Wiki 1: Deals/Holiday, Wiki 2: Coupons,Wiki 3: Thread Rules/FAQs with the fourth Wiki as an extra is what makes sense to me, but it's up to y'all. I think that the way that Slowtech laid it out sounds good to me, with all bases covered. As she said, the only "iffy" time for me is September, since I work in Navy accounting and that is the end of the fiscal year, when commands go a little crazy making sure contracts are good, money spent, money recouped, etc. But SUPPOSEDLY (it comes from DoD higher ups, so I take it with a grain of salt) they are starting the fiscal year end process earlier this year, so hopefully September won't be an issue for me. But I will let you all know if need be
P.S. I just realized this was kind of long and rambling... I think I've had too much coffee today
if clipandshare is around, if you could get rid of the outdated deals would help out tsarina.
pls let me know when you 2 have finished. i will then play around w/ the layout and see how much makes sense to go in the first wiki. i think some of the warnings should stay to keep the noobs and lurkers in line. like the no begging warning.
And thanks tsarina for the "table of contents" reference, I had a total brain lapse and just couldn't remember what it was called! Anyway, love how the viggle thread uses it and think it will help our thread tremendously once we get it in place. I don't mind the coupons coming after the deals because I can just link to it.
ETA: doing some wiki cleanup and have a question about this sentence in the first wiki:
Click here to create a personal sticky which will stick this thread to the top of the forum.
I have no idea what is supposed to happen but when I click here it takes me to the retired target thread. What should happen so I can fix the link??

May I make one teensy tiny suggestion to the recap portion? Can I keep the dates of the recap there as well, like when shortcutting the link... for example, MONDAY 10/29, TUESDAY 10/30, etc? I am a very dates oriented person, and that would help me know how old the recap is and whether there is a chance of finding something there or not, before clicking the link. Especially if a recap gets missed one week or something, like with the storm and having no power or whatnot. Everything else looks awesome though
ot

also, sorry clipandshare, but imo the thread rules have to be in the first wiki. they certainly cannot be in the 4th wiki. we can condense all those admin and mod links into the thread rules since they no longer link to the original posts but i think they have to be at the top. we are going to be starting black friday shortly, xmas, xmas clearance, toy clearance and then domestics clearance and we will have lots of noobs and lurkers. there is no way they will see the rules like no begging, no mpp's, minimal OT, no fighting, etc way down in the 4th wiki. i know you weren't around back then but a lot of the threads have such warnings b/c there used to be a lot of fighting. one of the biggest fights was about who posted deals first in the kohls thread. the target thread has been pretty civil and calm w/o much mod intervention in a long time. people just point to the no begging, no mpp's, no using q's other than the way the were intended posts by the mods and admins in the wiki when noobs come in and ask improper questions. it quickly shuts them up.
if it's too onerous on mobile to scroll thru it, then we can keep deals in the second wiki and just put in the table of contents first w/ links to the other wikis and/or wiki sections, and then the thread rules after the table of contents in the first wiki.
i know you guys probably also don't remember this but the reason why the wikis just have sooooo much info in it is so we don't have noobs constantly asking annoying questions. a very common saying in deals used to be, "wiki, wiki, wiki!". so pls, when you edit the wikis, you have to think like a noob, not like a regular when considering what needs to stay and what needs to go and where it should be in the wiki.
*snip*
Hope everyone's having a great day!

TM4D... I've been on FB too much also! lol - I'm always looking for the "like" button when I read the forums!
I used your marshmallow fondant recipe for the wedding cheesecakes I did. Turned out pretty good and folks liked the taste.
And... in other news... I'm looking for diaper deals. Again...
Love the cheesecake!!!!
We bought a fridge from lowes last nov19th and didn't purchase extended warranty. We have been having issues with this freezer. Freezing up, forming icy stuff and spoiling the food with freezer burns. We have called samsung and they proptly serviced it. The technician who came here for the service told us that this model has similar problem ALL.THE.TIME.
stuppy being me, and it was always in my mind about the extended warranty, somehow i never acted to buy one. I, just realized that it is almost an year now.
Do you think I would be able to buy one NOW? Looks like service is very expensive and icemakers are big issue with them ...
Anyone have some insight on this
I realised it big time during this sandy episode and power outrage...
