Staying in town Thanksgiving, with the extended family. Siblings and I are bringing food so Mom gets a break.

Great picture of the daughter by the Xmas tree, gossip girl.

.
Thanks Smilie

I'm spending it at my sister's place. No way with as large as my family is was I staying in TX by myself. Our little brother is coming over too, so there will be 9 for dinner which means we gets to make tons of good stuff. But we're having ham because I just really don't care for turkey too much- I guess it was all those years of having to have it at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Other than that, it's stuffing, sweet potato casserole, spinach maria, corn on the cob, fruit salad, green bean casserole, rolls and cornbread. Desserts are pumpkin and pecan pie, apple cobbler, pumpkin cheesecake and maybe a small chocolate cream cake.

I know it sounds like a lot, but 4 of the 9 are grown men, and our brother and his friend just moved out on their own and never eat decently. If they eat even close to how they used to, I just hope this will be enough!

When we all lived in Mobile our family get-togethers were large like that. I hate that I moved away. Being the oldest in my generation, I just was deemed old enough to sit at the adult table last year when I turned 30- it was awesome. All my sisters and cousins had to do the clearing of the table and feeding of the little kids, and I got to sit and relax with my grandma, aunts and uncles.

I'm 24. Next to my daughter (4), I am the youngest one in the family. I will be at the kid table forever.
