1. The "reset" timeline appears to have affected the lives of people who haven't visited the island as well. For example, the woman who was the psychic that Hurley and his dad visited in the original timeline, works at the temp agency that Hurley bought in the reset timeline. Maybe Helen's life was directly affected somehow as well?
2. Staying with Locke exposed her to different environmental factors that made her less likely to have the aneurysm. Maybe in the original timeline, she went into some sort of self-destructive cycle (remember, Locke DID meet her in group therapy) that led to the aneurysm?
3. We don't know for sure that Helen ever died in the first place. Matthew Abaddon seemed to take his time trying to find her, maybe he was arranging to have a fake tombstone planted to show Locke? After all, if Locke found her, he may very well have lost his motivation to return to the island (or convince anyone else to do the same).

That was funny of Hugo to offer Locke his job back after he assaulted his car.
You can't rank what is more or less stressful for another person, it's subjective. In fact, I'm not even sure that you can rank potential stressful situations for yourself if you've never experienced them. For all you know, you wouldn't be stressed out at all during an emergency like the plane crash, maybe you'd be calm, collected, and heroic. Or maybe you'd go into psychological shock and not even really know what's going on.
2nd - what was the inside joke about the white/black rocks on the scale?
3rd how was the ??? of why they are on the island answered just because the names were on the wall they were canidates? but the manipulation of Jacob?
4th someone said MIB was recruiting, por que?
5th Richard? I dont even know where to start.

3rd - Didn't Locke/Smokey say that Jacob was looking for his (Jacob's) successor? So they were on the Island because Jacob chose them specifically.
5th - I think Richard was looking for candidates for Jacob's successor. remember the episode where he tested child Locke to see if he was qualified or whatever. Basically Richard is Jacob's bitch, that's what I gather.

& 5th yeah, funny have we decided who MIB and Jacob are yet & why Richard would be so scurrred of MIB
Honestly I am more confused and pissed off about it now than ever before. I soooo have just as many NEW questions piling on top of all the old ones!
I would really like it if "the answer" is so simple and laid out perfect & we all go

2.) Jacob is represented by the white rock and MIB by the black rock. Now that Jacob's dead, so is that white rock.
3.) Well, we know how the names are on the rock (Jacob wrote them), but we still don't know why Jacob recruited those candidates.
4.) I thought it was Jacob who was the island's recruiter, before Ben killed him.
5.) I know we'll eventually find out why Richard doesn't age. And maybe also his actual age!

We don't know that Jacob wrote anything. We know that Richard thinks Locke/Smokey is trying to manipulate people. It's entirely plausible that what Locke showed Sawyer was all done by himself. He certainly knows how to navigate those rickety ladders pretty well.
I think Jacob is the recruiter as well. Richard seemed to be recruiting candidates for leader of "The Others", and only really went to Locke as a child because future Locke visited him in the past, not because he was actively recruiting.

I know we'll eventually find out, but I'd dying to know who that kid is and why MIB/fake Locke was so surprised when he realized that Sawyer saw him, too.
What happened to that tall, skinny black guy that Richard hung out w/ a few seasons ago and visited (the real) Locke back on the mainland?

Yea scale represents some balance of power/good/evil/ying/yang thing. I am still not judging smokey to be the evil one or whatever, it could be Jacob for all we know. It would make sense that Jacob wrote it because he wanted them to go back no? Didn't he meet with the Oceanic Six in the main land last season?

It does seem that Jacob has always been the one that wanted to bring people here and MIB didn't though, so I could be wrong. It's just not established yet is all.
