I'm excited about LOST tonight too although I'm betting it will be a slow week since last week was sooooo great!
Well, it looks like they alternate the character groups every other week, so now they'll probably focus on Sawyer, Kate, Jin, impostor Locke, etc. So I think it'll still be good unless they flood it w/ too much flash-sideways stuff.

Will they mention Desmond again? I think we've only seen him once this season and that was on the flight that didn't crash and safely arrived at LAX.

I have a feeling that somehow Desmond was just on the flight in one of his flashes. I need to rewatch the episode where he was time shifting and see if anything matches up to the current events.

We haven't seen the last of Desmond yet. Henry Ian Cusick is still being listed as a regular cast member in the opening credits of each episode, and the producers are well aware of this fact. One theory that I've heard is that Desmond

Interesting theory. It'd be cool to see him again, at least on the island. I don't really care to see him in a flash-sideways again.

While Desmond is indeed going to be back, he's not a regular cast member any longer. He was demoted to recurring, so he's probably not going to make it through the season.

It's funny that I mentioned Desmond's name earlier today and sure enough, he returned. Maybe I should mention Michael's or Walt's name for next week's episode. Stick Out Tongue

It was a bit rare that ABC showed all of the "Losties" in this episode instead of alternating between the 2 groups.

The flash-sideways was kind of good in that it showed how Jin wound up being tied up in the closet. I guess Sayid didn't free him b/c he didn't know and trust him, but he figured Jin wasn't a threat, so he gave him a tool so that he could free himself.

The stare down between Widmore and iLocke was Cool.

Is that real that someone who is multilingual can forget to speak one of his/her languages after getting a bump in the head but still knows how to read, write, and understand it?

Yes, just that you cant process it; not necessarily forgetting. Think of it like when you have something on the tip of your tongue, and cant quite remember something.... just in this case, everything is on the tip.

Thanks, I just thought it was weird that she didn't lose all speaking ability, just English speaking, yet was able to fully understand it and read and write it (well, at least write it, so that would imply being able to read it, as well). If she can read/write English, one would think she could pronounce it. Confused

It's also a little weird that in the flash-sideways universe, Sun apparently doesn't know English, whereas she did in the island universe. So, thanks to Juliette setting off the bomb and thereby causing the island to go underwater in the flash-sideways world, Sun doesn't know English. Stick Out Tongue

On a semi-unrelated note, I happened to watch the Jimmy Fallon show for the hell of it last night and saw that he and his crew did a "Lost" spoof called "Late", where people on an elevator got stranded on a deserted floor. It was moderately funny. But to those who aren't familiar w/ "Lost", they would've thought the skit was pretty lame.
