does any one else on SD watch this show. i have watched each episode and i'm hooked its a mystery going on in each episode and makes it worth wild to watch .

HA! Did you even watch ANY of the episodes? laugh out loud He picked the people to go to the island because they had meaningless lives, they were living without a purpose. Dude, they used religion heavily in the plot. Of course it makes no sense.

Your so late, they were candidates and Jack stepped up and voluntered to watch the island. Yes Jacob was an ass because when his brother, the black smoke said to Jacob that the lady was not his mother, Jacob just turned around and Chairbash his butt. I think the black smoke was right for wanting to leave the island and Jacob was scared of being alone.

Hurley was a millionaire, cursed by Jacob, what was the need for that?
How was Jack's life meaningless? He was depressed? So are millions of other farking people in the world.
Eko was already turning his life around. He didn't need the island.

I could go on and on. Sure, there were characters with bad lives (Sawyer, Kate, Sayid, Charlie), but there were others that didn't need the island.

So I'm watching this Jimmy Kemmel lost special. I just wanted to say, I absolutely hate it, when people refer to "Actors" as their characters.

ie. Jimmy keeps saying "you" to Matthew Fox, as if he is Jack.

Having watched from day 1, I'm pretty pissed with the ending too...but then again, it's not my story.

As for the 3 alternative endings...they were probably made/shot with different characters/cameramen/etc to stop leaks before the finale, and if it one of the 4 endings did leak, they could trace it down.

I think someone said it best when they said, 'if you thought this last episode was going to wrap it all up, you haven't been paying attention'.

That being said, I also would have liked something NOT having to do with 'jack' and 'locke' physically fighting.

No but seriously, did you watch last week's episode? Because Jacob SAID that he chose these people because they didn't have meaningful lives. All the candidates sat there and listened to Jacob say it. They didn't disagree with him, because they knew deep down inside that they were missing something.

Hurleys life BEFORE winning the lottery (presumably due to Jacob intervention) was meaningless. He was eating chicken every night, working at a fast food joint, no friends (probably playing World of Warcraft).

Ecko started turning his life around, because of the events put in play by Jacob,
and Jack, was a surgeon who was burning out.
