Ank, I always found the last month to be the worst in the pregnancy. I was so huge, so uncomfortable, so ready to have it done with. Here's hoping this last little bit will go by quickly for you!! hug

Looks like rain all day today. I was planning on going to HT to do the GM deal, but I think I'll put that off. Oh well, gives me time to sort my Qs, clean my house, tend to my kids, etc. laugh out loud

So are there special coupons to make the Quaker deal awesome? Guess I need to go check the deals thread. I'm actually low on oatmeal, and hubby likes that for work in the morning.

Has anyone done Chuck E Cheese for a birthday party? I'm planning on doing that for my son this Friday. No friends, just family, so I'm not going to do like a party package or anything, but I was wondering if they'd let me bring in a cake.

i am also planning on doing my DD birthday there in October. i also would like to get the details plz.

There's a $1.00 Quaker TQ - excludes the cups.

It's been a really long time since I've done a Chuck E. Cheese thing, but they did let us bring in our own stuff with the understanding that scheduled parties have priority as far as seating, space, etc... So the main problem would be getting room for your family party if it's a busy day. Otherwise, they were fairly relaxed.

I would just call and ask them if it's an issue. Tell them you want to do a small family get together, and you just want to bring a little cake with you - would that be a problem?? If you don't mind folks being at your place, maybe you could have the fun stuff at Chuck E. Cheeses and invite everyone back to your house for cake & ice cream if they want.

Anyone know how much Wisk runs at T? I found a $2 mq in our grocery ad (so small posting it wouldn't be worth it) Thanks!

I may need to do that sneezing... My back is so so sosoooo KILLING ME suddenly. I Pray that means something other than just that my back hurts.
You could def. be gearing up for the main event - I was having contractions w/DD that I didn't even know were contractions b/c my back hurt and I thought it was just from pressure.

Thanks... I keep hoping. She feels big enough to be "ripe" *laugh*!

My poor DH works with a bunch of women and he's been subjected to every birthing horror story imaginable. He's so terrified that I'll break my water and deliver as I'm walking out the door and before he can make the 30 minute drive home. He calls me every break and emails me every chance he gets - and goodness help us if I don't catch the email within 10 minutes - he calls in a panic!! It's pretty adorable. He's going to be so relieved and probably crash and pass out when this baby gets here. *laugh*

I guess the only issue with having everyone back over to my house is that I'd actually have to clean it!!! Rofl2 Wink We'll see, though. I wish we could do a big party with friends, but first, I don't think he cares one way or the other, and second, we just don't have the money right now.

I remember when I was pregnant with Eva, our system with hubby was for me to call him twice in a row if I needed him. He was super busy at work and couldn't always answer the phone right away when I called. But he knew if I called him twice in a row, to come home. The only time I did it was one day when both kids threw up in their beds. I just couldn't deal, seeing as I was 9 months pregnant and emotional as all get out. It took a little bit to convince hubby that that was important enough to get him out of a meeting. Big Grin And wouldn't you know, it was like a 1-hour virus, because neither kid threw up the rest of the day. shake head

OK, off to get our rain gear on and head to the post office. Schick Hydro rebate has to be post-marked by today, so I gotta get moving!! Not a good day to run out of stamps. I've been mailing some rebates to my mom, and she loves getting the extra money every once in a while.

We are supposed to get 3 in of rain between today and tomorrow. Hubby said it was a horrid drive to work, with accidents everywhere, cars stalling out because of standing water, cars hydroplaning. Took him forever, he said he was just gripping the steering wheel and praying he'd stay on the road. shake head

Flu - that is the nice thing about having a party elsewhere - no mess at your house to clean up (either before or after!) We don't really do parties, though - kind of immediate family deal and if folks drop in - that's kewl.

My oldest is wanting a party for her 14th this year, so we may do something. Not sure what though. She started out saying she wanted a Candyland party - which I think would be pretty fun - but now she's thinking an 80's party??

Be careful driving in that rain!!

Chela - sorry to disappoint! *laugh* no new SDer yet. SURELY one of these days...

Ugh. I have sat at the puter for quite a while today. Talk about a lazy day!!

ETA:

Mod note about OT discussions in Deals thread... I wondered how long it would be before that happened! Kind of stinks that there just aren't that many super duper deals lately.

Also, if DH/DD weren't on low-carb diets, I'd throw in a couple handfuls of either some cooked rice, oatmeal, or breadcrumbs (or some combo thereof) - but they are, so I left that out. It'll be kind of dense, but I don't think they'll care.
Use smashed Pork Rinds instead. When I am low carbing I make meatloaf with them. I grind them fine in the food processor.

You cannot taste pork rind in the finished product. I HATE them -- when I open the bag the smell gags me -- literally -- but it's fine in meatloaf -- no off taste or smell, it tastes just the same as using crackers.

Hey, has anyone checked Target to see if they have Chef Boyardee pizza sauce? I meant to the last time I was there and forgot. But I also wasn't sure the coupon would be ok to use on it. I mean, pizza sauce IS food, you do eat it, but it's more of an ingredient, kwim? My husband and daughter LOVE the ravioli, wish we lived closer. I would be making regular forays to the ravioli aisle.

yes on the pork rinds!! I don't like them plain either, but used them alot to cook.. meatloaf as you mentioned, meat balls, fried salmon patties, crust for a taco salad, breakfast casserole,etc.. they had many good uses! You can also get ground flax seeds.. I used it kinda like corn meal.. used it in my salmon patties and making a few other things.

Very interesting... for those of you having problems at Target ,, I know I have

http://www.afullcup.com/forums/ta...arget.html

I wonder if this had to do with the HP ink advertised at $$ for all and where charging more for some model cartridges.

I found (in the baby section on an endcap) the Zoopals disposable bowls and sippy cups (yellow package) 75% off at .74 cents.
