How can something be "taken too far" when there was little (if any) response to it?

Good grief, this feels like middle school again.

That is the beauty of Virtual Box. No matter what you do to it, it's a completely separate machine that runs on your desktop. You can do whatever you like to it, and it won't affect your regular machine at all. If you mess up your virtual machine, just format it and start over. It's kinda cool how I have Linux running on my laptop, but can pull up a window on my desktop and run XP. At least I think so.

I'm going to try setting up another virtual machine, to see if I can run 2 (and potentiality more) "machines" at once. That's my plan for tonight, right now I am making ice cream cone cupcakes for our potluck at work tomorrow.

Sad times around my house today. My oldest DS just got dumped by his first girl friend. He was sure she was the one he had told me. I think he started talking too serious and she got spooked.. Told me on Tuesday they were "taking a break for a month".. I told him that must be something new cause I had never heard of taking a break.. sounded like breaking up to me. Anyway, they haven't been talking all week, and on facebook last night she posted about how hard ending relationships is.. and this morning they are both listed as "single" on facebook. It was his first serious relationship. I feel bad for him cause she was really good for him. Kept him motivated, focused, and a better student too.. But, I know the right girl will come along when it is time.. Maybe he can really focus on his college now.

I need to vent. I was at T on Friday night and the woman ahead of me in line gets her total $269.xx and my head jerks up to see what she had bought. She pulls a small stack of coupons out of her wallet and hands them to the cashier. He starts scanning them, but is checking them before he scans. He starts making a small pile on the scanner of ones he is not scanning. When he is done he hands her back about a dozen or so coupons and says he can't take them because the expiration date has been cut off the coupons. She tries to fight with him and them gives up and starts pulling items out of her 1 (and only) bag. It is only then that I notice what she is having him void: CWS x2, Nicorette, Prevacid x2, Naturs Bounty, Flex-a-min x2 and a few others. Farking A$$hat. I'm sure her plan was to return all of the items and keep the value of all those high $$ coupons. I so wanted to call her out right there in line, but bit my tounge. I found the College Essentials Books about 3 weeks ago at Target in Athens. They are long gone ... Virtual Box is really easy, it has a set-up wizard. Main things you need are a Windows Install disk with CD Key, and about 10 gigs of free hard drive on your computer. Everything else is cake

On another note ds fever came back last night it appears they are now every 3 weeks apart versus every 4 weeks, I wish he would just grow out of it already, I'm tired of watching my rambunctious little boy turn in to a lifeless little boy every month, its just heartbreaking.

My DD hasn't had a fever since school started, but she has had a cough, strep (w/o fever, which is weird), and general stuffiness.

She has also broken out (again) with acne on her face (she is 7!) .... Her doctor is useless. Can't wait till Oct. and we get decent insurance! (sorry, done venting)

She had an allergic reaction. Then it just went away.

I started a new medicine this week that has some not-so-pleasant side effects. I've never been more thankful to be single! My body always hates me for the first few weeks of a new medicine, it's almost unbearable.

Now newbies and lurkers turned new members are calling us TCC'ers mean spirited

How dare anyone make a joke. These lurkers have families to feed and they rely on the regulars to do it for them. How dare anyone come in and upset their neat little system of leeching off others. The nerve!

*snip* since we just jumped in the car to run an errand and the baby just freakin pooped. I swear I've changed this kid at every damn public bathroom in the city. Maybe it's just payback since I'm such a meanie.

I wouldn't be heading to T today normally but I am down to my last 1 1/2 roll of TP. Yes, my TCC badge should be taken away. Oh, and I am out of cereal. Going to do the Kellogg's deal w/ the B4G1 promo. Hopefully all the Qs will work right

Oh, and my 2 cents worth about the "mean" people here......when I first started reading both the Target threads, I thought you all were the meanest and snobbiest of all the slickdeals kingdom. It took about a week to figure out ya'lls warped sense of humor! Actually, most of the folks here are SUPER nice, but they don't take no SH*T either. Thanks to all of you who help when I have questions about coupons and such! I truly appreciate it!

The bottom line is this .... if it the comment was a joke then one would think that these folk would figure out the falseness of the RUMOR through their own life-experiences ie, Target coupons would not disappear and they would continue to use them when shopping. If on the other hand the RUMOR proved to be valid then the coupons would disappear and they would no longer be able to use them.

Whether or not the RUMOR was true wouldn't these couponers continue to use coupons until they couldn't anymore? If so it doesn't matter - either it is true or it isn't - their behaviors remain the same.



On that note .... I am the head of a secret society which not only has all of the known MPP's but there are special coupons - JUST FOR MEMBERS - that allows for $100 off every $10 purchase, totally free shopping days, as well as coupons to have someone else do all the shopping for you (bring it to your house, put it away, and host garage sales for you.) Of course there are no reds that know about this - so don't tell!!!!!

I think the target threads definitely have a rep as being a tough place to hang, and I think we kinda like it that way Personally I think there hasn't been enough going on in the deals thread, which is part of why it has gotten out of hand. When I was a newb, I didn't dare post a question until I'd read everything twice in search of an answer.
