I guess it is time to just jump back into the TCC pool.
Wave Hey everybody! It's so nice to be back from vacations, we had two with four days inbetween, so I am SO out of the loop it is not funny at all. My printer died so I have not printed a single TQ of the latest two sets! EEK! I guess I need to plan a trip to the library and start hunting down a printer deal. I think I remember Brother was a good one with super cheap ink refills.
Quote from tn_native :

Hoping to dumpster dive today and solve my no inserts from the paper guy issue.
That reminds me, I have gotten no inserts for the last 6 weeks because the recycle bins we were going to have been missing the Sunday papers all together now. Don't know wth is going on but either someone is buying up all the papers at closing or hunting midnight Sunday night or early early morning because at 8 am monday not a Sunday to be found. Sadwalk ANY& EVERYWHERE I know to look.

I have no coupons! I am starting all over and don't even have an idea of what is good to order. So overwhelming trying to start over and catch up.

Quote from jillyq :
I weighed myself today and I am down 3 pounds since Monday!!:wo ot:
Great job! I really need to do that, I feel if I just lost 15 or so I would be good to go.

Quote from jetaime :
I thought I read something a whiiiiiiile back about using coupons with EBT cards....do q's affect your ability to use food stamps? Anybody know? TIA!!
I know there has been lots and lots of debate about this issue lately but I took my single mom neighbor shopping yesterday. She does not even have a car, but she does have food stamps. I had showed her in the past how to combine TQ and MQ for better deals and while we were on vacation she actually spent a week putting together her first coupon run at Target. She did great! (I need to see if she can print some TQs for me)

She had food and non food items in the same transaction. She used food and non food coupons in the same transaction. All the food coupons TQ and MQ subtracted from the food, all the non food TQ and MQ subtracted from the non foods. Her total for non food items was exactly what she had expected once the food card had paid for the food. After all items were rang up she presented all her coupons, after coupons she swiped her food card and the food card paid for all her food items and she was left with her non food total. Her non food total was exactly the price of all the non food items she had purchased minus the coupons. Even the coupons that got a k1 subtracted correctly. (YA some weird register messages with some MQs! I guess it has been talked about in the deals thead but I have not been shopping in so long I haven't seen them, looks like Target messed things up even MORE!UUGH!!) I did mangage to do a small run for myself but it wasn't a coupon run but we needed milk and a few veggies and I found some sweet clearance stuff.

There must have been a programing error with that cereal TQ or they fixed it either way at our local ST food and non food coupons subratct on the correct items even when using the food stamp card.

Quote from ank220 :
Mavis had her test today - should have results by Monday. Getting ready for Target!
I wish I was ready for a Target run. I have to get coupons first! Monday will be here before you know it, especially if you spend the weekend busy shopping.

The information is finally coming out and I'm :si ck: by it. Just shocked that someone I worked so closely with did this:

Sick It is scary how many crazy people there are in the world. Have you all seen the movie The Strangers? DO NOT watch if DH is going out of town or anything. It was kinda slow to start but is based on a true story. In the end they ask why they picked them and the killers said "Because you were home."

Quote from audriannasmama :
I've probably gained that. I've done horrible this week but I am trying to get back on track.
I've done horrible the past two weeks, I've gained I can tell my clothes are a little tighter and my tummy feels so bloated. Two weeks of vacation and to many yummy meals eating out. I keep thinking about the Cheesecakes Factory's avacado egg roll things YUM! drool

Ok, fess up. Do any of you have the Flirty Girls exercise DVD? Daughter and I think it looks like it might be kind of fun. I don't have a stripper pole but there are some metal posts on the back patio. On the other hand, there is the "chair dancing" exercises. My living room has a 10' picture window that faces the street. No curtains, I like sunshine. That ought to get the neighbors talking.

I've been watching so clips on You Tube. I think I would need illustrated instructions for some of those moves.

1 @ $5 RR (Nyquil)
1 @ $2 RR (Colgate)
Total = $9

$1.02 Get Back $5 Alka Seltzer RR

Transaction #5 Spend the $5 Alka Seltzer RR
Ty for awesome breakdown of Wags transactions...I may just copy cat ya a lil bit worship

For the Alka Seltzer, I've been finding small, orange peelies for $2/1 Aleve, Bayer, Alka, Midol, Phillips, One A Day, or Citracal. I've spotted them in Publix mostly on Midol & large Bayer Aspirin. They're great since they don't specify size & don't expire until 6/30/11Big Grin

Okay I confessLMAO I hate exercise for exercise sake ....sooooo I have been watching you tube videos of instructional dance to such things as soldier boy and others and ancing to them for my exercise, oh and the cupid shuuffle. Dh laughs and me but it's fun and I love to dance. I love movement just not exercise
Plus I get to learn some new dances. Some of these break it down really well. My young adult daughter was amazed .... (yeah I'm a person )

Quote from TheGh0st :
It has been reported that at least at Target what Audriannasmama said is true. HOWEVER, I would double check with your local officials if at all possible. The laws can vary state to state. I know I have a friend that works at Wags. She is on EBT and is always in need. I tried to tell her what I had heard about using the food Q's at T and how they appeared to get applied towards the non-eligible items leaving the full pre-Q food $$ eligible to be paid by EBT.

Thought she might be able to use that to her advantage to buy diapers, etc. Instead she practically threw fit in the store telling me how I was advising her of how to scam or defraud the system. I've never been on public assistance before (always just over the threshold) but I couldn't back pedal fast enough to get her to believe I had no idea that it might not be kosher to take advantage of the loophole.

She said in KS at least it is not even legal to buy eligible and non-eligible items in the same transaction OR to use ANY Q's on the eligible items.

I can kind of understand the state not allowing the mixing of eligible & non-eligible in one transaction but it blows my mind that they are refusing to allow the person to spend the EBT $$ wisely by stretching it out with Q's.
Just found out a month or so ago that my brother and his family in MI are on food stamps now and its crazy how they run their program. From what I understand, they get a more-than-sufficient sum each month and if they roll over 3 months in a row, then they get kicked out and have to go through the application process all over again. So my SIL has gone from not having enough money for food to having TOO MUCH money. Crazy.

Quote from gt6mk31 :
I can't imagine that in any state you can't use a coupon with food stamps. If there is concern about how they attach, then just buy all the food separately.

Wal-Mart:
Glade Tough Odor Solutions Spray 9.7 oz. Refreshing Citrus scent clearanced to $1 - $1 (08-22 SS) (08-29 RP) = Free. Smells really nice, but I love citrus.
Oooh, free smelly stuff!! Me likey. Big Grin

Quote from LongTimeLurker7 :
I just got off work. Quickly posting finds, before I am off again Embarrassment

Glade Sense & Spray (only 1 scent, the one that was $6.49) is down to $5.04. I think it is because of new packaging, so it's a $.96 mm w/ -$3 MQ & -$3 TQ

Bath stuff, bronze tp holder and bronze towel ring, were down to $8.xx, so overage with $10 TQ

Best deal (thanks to HDs): 12-month Xbox Live membership for $19.99 (well, $19.25 incl. tax with TM discount) woot Someone posted in HD that they saw the ad sign for the Halo Edition Xbox had a "also available" with the 12-month Halo Xbox Live card listed as $19.99, instead of $49.99. My store still had it up! I took that puppy up to GS and had them price match. Now I just have to remember where it is for the next 3 mo. It's for my DH for Christmas. I still have 1 1600 point card from the TQ deal last year I haven't found.

I bought my kids each a backpack today, I have a few of the workbooks from one-spot's 50% off, and a few other things from BTS. I am going to save them for our way down to Port Canaveral for the cruise. It'll give them something to do.
Is that Glade Sense & Spray TQ from an insert?

And that is awesome about the Xbox Live card. Might have to look into that...

Hey, PM me your address and I can send you some coupons! Let me know in general some of the ones you're looking for.

I definitely know the feeling of trying to catch up! Even just taking the weekend off can sometimes be overwhelming on Monday!!!

OK, off to watch an episode of Alias with hubby, then back to church. Our school's varsity volleyball team couldn't get a game tonight, so its Youth Workers versus Varsity girls. Faint Yep, hubby and I are youth workers. Let's just say my skills at volleyball leave a.lot. to be desired. But it'll be fun, right? And I'll get my exercise in!!!

Oh, and I got the weird $4 MFQ popup today.

Okay, I come back to 30+ pages so I give up and start here Blush3 I think you all are on a weighloss mission and I congratulate you all! I've been working really hard myself and have seen a little result. Trying to cut out as much junk as possible, drink lots (ha ha, not just alcohol Evillaugh) and get back to the gym. It's tough when you know how good it feels to just zonk out on the couch eating vanilla tootsie rolls and watching hot vampires on Trueblood, but I have to do it anyhow Wink

My treat for being good was a new Keurig!!! Whee a cup of coffee with a splash of cream is such a treat, but it okay on my better eating plan. Besides, all that hot coffee keeps me from eating. I appreciate any tips you guys have about best places to get K-cups on sale and which ones taste the best. It came with a multi-packs so I've tasted the Donut shop and Vanilla ones so far. Love the Donut shop one.....

Whistling I have the Carmen Electra version and she whips her neck around so much, my doctor would be getting ready to buy a new car if I tried it with my herniated discs Roll

I feel exactly like you!!! I've gained weight and have no coupons. Teehee Seriously, I have no clue what's going on around here lately and certainly not with Qs. I did have a ball in the garden center 75% off though. I need Tide, Easy-ups, and toilet paper so time to get on the Horse

I didn't get any towels.... but I did get that big bathroom mirror. bulb I could set it up so they could get a 360 degree view.

2:00, I'm still in my night shirt afraid to get to far from the bathroom. Now, I'm queasy. Maybe I shouldn't finish this cup of cold coffee. I need free kitty litter and ambition. I have meat to rewrap and freeze and I haven't even thought about supper.

Donut Shop is my faaaaaaave basic one. Gloria Jean's Butter Toffee is my fave flavored one!

Best deal on Donut Shop I've found is to order the 50-pk. from Amazon:

http://www.amazon.com/Coffee-Peop...806&sr=8-1

Sometimes they will go down to $19-$20, then you get the 15% off with subscribe and save....last time I ordered it was $15-$16 for a 50-pk....the only other better deal per k-cup I've seen is when you order from the Keurig site with code WARRANTY....and this thread describes that whole process: https://slickdeals.net/forums/showthread.php?t=1998608 ....still working as far as I could tell Smilie HTH!

MOT2 - I'm so jealous LOL!! I am *hopefully* getting an iPad the beginning of the new year, and I am psyched. I get to play with my brother's in a couple weeks when he comes home to see how much I like it. I think it would really help me streamline some things and get organized....my spaciness/disorganization/lack of ability to multitask really gets the best of me right now. DH and I get cell coverage free for him/cheap for me since he works for a cell phone company but a data plan for me would be more expensive than the 3G plan for iPad plus we would have to purchase a new phone for me sooooo my dh agreed woot We just wanna get a couple more things paid off first....it is a good goal Big Grin
