I did good, but I wouldn't say great :lma o: I'm still discombobulated but I managed to bring a 350.00 order down to 20.00. I forgot to add, I also picked up the tension rod bathroom organizer for 75% off, it also has towel bars on it. They also had it in wall mount. And of course we picked up a ton of diapers. This trip was definitely for DD as everything went to her house, but they appreciate it so much and I'm glad I can help without paying to do so ; )

Since I was getting the videos off my phone, I came across this pic I took for my DS on Monday. It's a pic of what the sidewalk of Target looks like when we walk up in the morning. As you can see, it's really hard to step without a *crunch* *crunch* But, we all probably look really funny doing it!

I completely empathize. Recently monkey toddler spent 10 minutes screaming that I needed to stop hurting his penis. At the top of his very loud soprano toddler voice. And of course the transaction took forever, cashier had to call GSTL because she was unsure of coupons, had to go to CS because a few things rang up the wrong price. I must have been quite a spectical, dragging one kid screaming about wanting Lego and another that was yelling about his penis.

I bought the workbooks, colorings books, and nursery water and no tinkerbell CAT.

I decided in a fit of insanity once that I was going to be upfront and honest with my kids about their body parts. I made sure tanner knew that boys (he) have a penis and girls (makena) have a vagina. We went to walgreens a couple of weeks later and DH stayed in the van while I went in. I was fixing to leave when I saw DH pushing the cart with makena in it and tanner behind him. He said she wet her pants and he needed to change her so he brought them in. Right about the time we get to the pharmacy area (that is crammed full of people) Makena raises her skirt and tanner YELLS "moo-ooom, makena is showing her vagina."

I almost died right there.

Ok ladies..., I woke to reading FB today and saw that a girl (I barely knew her) that her 8 year old son died in a house fire... she posted it like hours after it happened on there... now I read the newspaper and saw that he died b/c him and his 12 year old brother and their friend were putting gasoline all over a room and then they sent the 8 year old in there to light a match and he was burnt to death..it is a horrible story.. very sad and my heart goes out to this little 8 year old. However, I am curious as to WHY IN THE HELL IS YOUR 8 YEAR OLD IN AN ABANDONED BUILDING!?!

Kopenny, That is amazing you read evey page to catch up, I would really love to and I know I miss a lot but I just can not do it. I would honestly NEVER get caught up, I would be reading and never posting, reading and never shopping. So if any of you all say something to me and I never respond it is only because I was behind and just had to skip to the last few pages and jump back in.

That is a horrific story! How utterly sad. I am sure the mom figured her 8 ys old son was okay playing with his 12 yr old brother and the 12 yr old was watching out for him. I can only imagine what horrible guilt the 12 yr old will have the rest of his life and what he saw as the room of fire engulfed his little bro. None of the kids should have been in the abandoned building let alone having gasoline to play with. I guess no one was watching the kids close enought to notice them sneaking gas out of a mower or garage or something.

My girls are 13 and 7 and they will occasionally go to a friends house together and play for a few hours. I do check up on them but also trust that they will play where they are supposed to be. I try not to be a helicopter mom, but I am afraid I am most of the time. For fear that a horrific thing may happen to them one of these times. I would much rather have all the neighborhood kids playing in our fenced in backyard and I keep or try to keep TUNS of popcorn, snacks, and koolaid or crystal light on hand so they all want to play here.

Ugh...been up half the night with horrible reflux! And since I have to sit upright to get it to go away here I sit at my computer. I understand that you have to trust your kids to an extent and I do also... some of my kids more than others but that is another story LOL But I guess my issue with everything was... the older brother is austic (sp) way to late @ night for me to spell too much correct LOL

I would have to say that it is probably the worst scene anyone can ever imagine and I feel horrid for the family I could not imagine or deal with myself if something happened to one of my kids... I am an overprotective parent but I do allow my kids to go to other peoples homes, however, I have to know the parents and they must be dropped off and picked up by me...the parents do tell me what the kids will be doing for the day... and I am firm on my stance that they are not to be outside by themselves @ any point.. maybe obnoxious but things happen too fast... and I always invite kids to our house also... so that they want to hang out here instead of being out other places... you kwim?

I think everyone has their own parenting style and are entitled to do so, however, for me my kids are my life... and I do without many things to ensure their safety, happiness,etc. As many other parents do but hearing stories like this KILLS me!! SAD!! I feel horrid... ok off my soapbox...

My DH's family for some unknown reason refer to a certain male body part as a "popo". (I swear they never knew it's other street def.) I'm not a fanatic about teaching my son the appropriate words for body parts but still thought it was a little bit of a ridiculous nick name.

But it sure saved me on more than one occasion. My DS practically from birth has had a problem with his manhood apparently being over sensitive. He would always complain when we would have to wipe it between diaper changes and once he was old enough to talk he would start to cry or complain several times a week (usually while riding in a car or shopping cart) and when we would press for what was wrong he would say his "popo was up and he couldn't get it down"

I can only thank the heavens that no one in the stores knew what he was referring to.

I think mine may be the combination of too many things in it, and the handle was pulled just right, that it made the binder part pop open, but not really sure.

I didn't do too bad today. I could have just had a 8a-9a yard sale and have been fine. I made over $150 during that first hour, and about $18 the next 4 I am out of the small tubes of Colgate, toothbrushes, all deodorant I put out, reg. size cans of Chef (microwave bowls and little cans didn't sell), had a person snatch the Shout Wipes away from another lady, some pens and pencils, all of my Glade Carpet Powder, a few boxes of cereal, all my Suave. No ThermaCare sold, and that was the one I actually had a big stockpile of. I haven't bought anything with the intention of selling, just buy it for free or overage, so I thought I did good. It'll pay for the swimming lessons we are getting the kids next month. I also sold out of Toilet Seats (only had 2). There is a garage sale thread in Deal Talk that was quite helpful to me last night.

So, $168 was not bad for free or overage items, and no advertising. We live off the beaten path, so I was really happy.

So I was able to return my stepper no issues, told them it was broken and I just bought it 3 days ago.

So I went to the farthest target in vegas that was the only one with the stepper, and I got there just in time to see another lady had already grab it. And to make matters wors its 18$ now when I paid 36

I still want to cry just thinking about it!

When I did the C9 coupon, I told the cashier before they rang out the C9 socks, etc..that I had a target coupon for each of them and I know that they would beep just so that they would know..then I would get an easy K1... but I guess I just am alittle scared LMAO

TRU Did everyone see that all Hasbro games are b2g1 free? well Monopoly and a few others are 7.99 each x 2= 15.98 then I saw $4 off coupons on fleebay.. and you can use 3 coupons so 3.98 for 3 games... hth someone

Peoria is 3 hrs. from me...Arlington Heights and Springfield are like 4 hrs. I don't consider that 'near' LOL but it is closer than TX I think Rachel lives in IL though .

I went to T. Used coupons. Had a cat scanner. Left - and it wasn't because of T!

Oh. My. Word.

I have never felt so embarrassed and even scared in my life. My toddler chose to melt down and throw the WORST tantrum I've seen out of ANYONE EVER. I had the baby in her carrier in the front of the cart, and I put my toddler in the basket. We get to the checkout, and she wants to play with the card machine, grab things, etc... She won't sit down, tries to climb out of the cart, and even tries to pitch herself out headfirst. I tell her several times to sit down. She refuses. I swat her behind (just one of those taps to remind 'em kind), and she still won't listen - and of course, by now she's screaming. Baby has woke up and is crying. I've got baby in my arms, toddler screeching, cashier scanning items like he's got 4 years to do it in. (grr)

I take the carrier off the cart and set it in front, put baby in it, and grab my toddler and wrestle her into the front were I can buckle her. At this point, there's a red and a security guard standing nearby and I'm terrified they're going to call the cops on me because her screaming and the swat I gave her! 2 other reds come out of the office and come over to us and start talking to DD - give her stickers, etc... to try to calm her down. By then, she'd been strapped in and still trying to climb out and there's not much I can do because of holding the crying baby. She stops screaming at the top of her lungs, but it still ain't pretty and she gives them the stink-eye with an occasional howl.

I was probably not in line as long as it felt, but I didn't know what to do at that point. My kids have never done that before. I was mortified and felt like crying as much as the girls were. I probably should've left or something, but I had cold stuff and it *was* a small order. Not much fits in the basket with a 3 y.o.!

Man, I feel like I so have to be now... I am definitely not under the radar in any way, shape, or form now!

i always get blank looks from cashiers when beepage occurs. then have to say to them i have 4 c9 items, or 2 boxes of qtips or whatever the case. sometimes they just nod/smile and k1. other times they rummage through the bags. yet other times they start scrolling through the list on the screen. such a crapshoot. just don't know how that would fly.

I remeber being little about 7yrs old and we would walk to the beach with friends. We lived in Hawaii and were like 4 blocks from the beach. So it was a group of kids from 7 yrs old to 13yrs old. I cant even wrap my head around why my mom didnt watch us more.

Congrats to everyone who is sticking to their diet. It takes a lot of will power to do so For me all I can say is that today is a new day and hopefully I wont eat the crap I ate yesterday!

so my dog just jumped up on the couch and settled in beside me (yorkie). I reach over to give her a pet and feel something on her back that is kinda yucky, and I can't figure out what it is. Kinda feels like a worm and I went into a panic. I go get a towel and pull it out of her hair and it's a spaghetti noodle all twisted up in her fur Earlier when I was cooking pasta, I dropped a noodle and she was by my feet, but when I looked down I didn't see it so I thought she ate it.

I think it's time for me to go to bed

I noticed in the kitchen area where the dish rags are there are metal hooks Home brand for .74 cents. All it says it "towel hook" think it'd fly?
