sooooo.... i'm going to try to venture forth, however shakily after being housebound for more than a week with this stupid flu bug.
i'm actually anxious about heading out,
how dumb is that?
hope you all have a fab day, and thank you everyone for sweet encouraging messages these last few days.
Thanks everyone for all the foot care answers. This is the first time I've got so many answers before, lol.
I do use a pumic stone and also have a wandy thing, that has a smoothing side too. but it isn't working very well.
I must admit I'm not a lotion person even though I have a ton.
The sonibrush? (May be wrong name) sounds like it works wonders, I may just have to splurge on one.
Oh I got me a charcoal pumic stone was almost 3 bucks but my feet are driving me nuts so figured iyts worth a shot!
I've tried pedi things to those just tear my feet up,

The more I think about it, the more I think I should go with the burnt or autumny orange!! I do think it would look good with the dark wood and khaki walls!! Did you see my reply about the earlier comforter not being available in King size.
this way you can get the benefit of an interior decorator w/o paying for one. anyway, it is a marketing tool for them. they want you to buy all the accessories too.
lotion also doesn't absorb well into my skin, my hands often crack.

Went to the Habitat Re-store yesterday. Did not buy much but we got a LOT of stain for $1.50
Oh, and down 1.3 lbs. this week!

Have fun shopping!!! I hope I can get at least a little shopping in. My sons have 2 baseball games, a soccer game, and a football game tomorrow...they are really cutting into my shopping time.
I guess I should take my behind to bed here shortly!!!

I have so 1 toy q insert wiil scarf as many as I can tonight
Accent pillows are lovely. They are also a pain in the ass and one more thing to do. Do you make your bed everyday? They are either an added step or one more thing in the corner.
Paint sample, yes, make one and carry it in your purse. Don't be in a hurry. Don't buy one just because you need one. Wait until you find one that makes you go, "ooooooo, I WANT that!". It sounds to me like you haven't bought anything yet, because you haven't found the perfect stuff. Then go slowly and built from there.
Colorwise, I agree, deeper tones, no pastels. Navy, burgundy, brick red, rust, deep green, eggplant purple. For the walls hang things you have that you love, not just stuff that matches. If you have something you love and it doesn't match, can you make it match? Different frame or matting, etc.
Your furniture sounds lovely. Have fun and don't rush.

I did not know that. I actually was first introduced to it at the University of Iowa. My son was in PICU and you have to wash with antibacterial soap every time you go in or out. I can use it once maybe twice, after that, I am a mess. Half way through the first day, my hands were raw. A nurse handed me a tube. I washed, then used it. By the next day I was healed. He was in there over a week and my hands stayed fine. I still can't use antibacterial soap.
Anyway, it's available in most pharmacies. You may have to ask for it, but it is not prescription. It's fairly cheap -- about $10 for a 1 lb. tub. Yes, I know that's not free and no, there isn't a coupon. But it works.
It's raining again. Hubby just got called to work. So, I don't know what I am gonna do today. A couple loads of laundry. Might run into HyVee. Nope, I never did that yesterday.

Oh, Tracy, we have been working on our living room. It was hideous. Well, the new carpet is in, walls painted -- sesame with one wall painted a brick red, new furniture is here. We still need a couple more end tables and lamps. I have one gross old lamp sitting on my new solid oak end table out our necessity. Oh and I have two new brick red lamp shades waiting for the lamps -- or to be returned to Target if they don't work. (Clearance sale around 4 bucks each).
I have things I want to use but they don't fit and I have a big spot above the fireplace where I need something but don't have anything big enough. A mirror won't work - it would reflect the tv, yuck. So, yeah, I am familiar with "in stages"!

ETA We need Nate Berkus
Ya know what else I find amusing? That grocery store ads put the baby stuff on the same page as pet products.
Which equals a ton of laundry, cleaning and dishes. You'd be doing dishes, they'd go get their grove on, be done, come back and you'd still be doing dishes and none the wiser that they 'grooved'
Oh and probably...she'd be yours...and the DH dude would says it's mandatory for him to

So today is my official graduation. I am not walking in the ceremony, but I have my diploma. It really feels good but I have had NO luck finding a job remotely legal in nature. We are hoping DH gets an offer soon for a job in Tampa so we can get the hell out of Michigan before the snow starts piling up!
