Does anyone know where I can find some kind of child lock for the ice & water dispencer on my fridge? My kids won't quit making huge messes with it.

Iagree Monkey toddler started this stage about a month before his birthday. It's almost like alternating days, some he's this angelic, sweet child and the other days he's like a demon on speed.

Don't do it! I just got back from T, and the bald, strong man is Dead Deal

Glade candles and Cat Food were a good buy though. Don't know about swiffer, didn't have any with me. Mr. Clean asked to pick item.

On top of that, I went to Wal-Mart for some Gain. What a Censored2 I only had a few Gain, and a big Lego set that was clearance for $25. At check-out, the lady scanned everything, then said, "I don't think we can take these, let me call someone." This was 20 mins to 2pm, I have to be at the school to pick up my kids at 2:20, and it's a 15 min drive.

10 mins. later, still no one has come. I tell the lady, just take the Gain off, I'll just get the Legos. She ignores me and calls someone again. We can see the lady, she is just standing around.

By 2pm, I'm insisting, just take the Gain off, I'll just get the Legos. If they had more than just that 1 set of Legos, I would have left and got it later. Finally, the lady comes over and says, "we can't take these". Great, cashier told me that 20 mins ago! So the cashier takes the Gain off, one at a time.

Only thing in my hands is the Lego set and the receipt. I was at the cash register closest to the door, Greeter was watching me check out. I get half way out the door, she yells at me to stop. Checks my receipt, and starts saying, "you should have more than this!" WTF! She was holding me up at the door because she thought I should have more than I do! After a few mins, I get it thru her head that they had voided the other things off.

I walk out, swearing I will never go to Wal-Mart (again)!

But, at T, the Glade Tough Odor spray is on TPC (or PC, not sure) for $1.99, so free after TQ & MQ.
So sorry you had issues at Wal-Mart! But for next time, they are NOT allowed to check your receipt when you leave, no matter what they tell you. Politely keep walking and they cannot detain you. There is no reason for them to accost you like that.

And don't you just hate it when that quick 15-min stop right before you have to pick up your kid turns into 18 mins, then 20 mins, and you are sweating like crazy??? Big Grin Thank God I haven't been late yet to pick up my kid, but I have come way too close...

Went to a new park that opened up about 10 minutes from the house. It is so nice. Great playground for my DD, a walking track that I would guess is 1/3 or 1/4 mile per lap. But, the coolest thing is it has these little exercise kiosk kinda things every 50 feet or so. They have fitness instructions on different exercises.. One is a small stationary bike, another is a stair stepper, several arm weight things.. it is pretty cool! I only made it one lap cause the toddler was begging for more playground time.. Hoping to head back tomorrow!

I happened upon a deal when I was reading another site tonight.. Never have even been in Food Lion, but I went tonight and grabbed several packs of water for .02 each.. It was so much fun. I can't believe I didn't know about this deal before tonight since it was the end of the sale.. Saw dazzled was posting in the FL thread.. Guess some TCC folks knew about the deal. I ended up with 21 of the 8 packs, so I was pleased.
Tried a new Publix.. cashier was a pain, and I left the cart there..

Still no target, but I may get there tomorrow. gotta get some produce..

Edit - Shameless beg.. Anyone have Deer Park Aquapod water coupons from the RP 8/29 that they would be willing to part with? I would be happy to trade something in return!
Awesome deal on the water!! Could you share what the deal is for the Aquapods? I might have some extra coupons for you... Wink I need water bottles here...

Got in a nice long walk this AM, felt good![/QUOTE]

Voted for you!!

Can't wait until I can walk again in the mornings! Lillian still has her bad cough - we took her in over the weekend and they suspect sinus infection. So we're doping her up with Children's Mucinex, and that seems to really be working to loosen everything up. But I don't want to resume our walks until she can exert herself without falling into a fit of coughing.

Oh, and I can't say too much, but one of my family members works in a govt agency and we got to go for a picnic on the grounds this past week. It was so very super-de-duper cool, and we even got some coloring books autographed by the head honcho himself!! Very, very awesome.

Had a quick trip to Target this morning. I bought two bags of candy that were marked for the gift card deal, but they didn't prompt for it! Wondering if they were mis-tagged. Have to check the ad again to see exactly which bags are included in the deal. Other than that, got the usual suspects, including a 1.99 RE tension rod. Big Grin And those soy candles that work with the gift card coupon smell really nice...

Do you currently have any education beyond high school? Have you ever wanted to do anything in particular? How do you like working from home? HUGS!!
Well let's see I have a high school diploma. I worked as a vet tech for almost a year (before my kids) and I am a contractor, for DH business. I went to trade school for that. And I am currently working at a company that finances cosmetic procedures and other various procedures. I was a notifications rep and last week my job title was taken and I was thrown into a loan processors position.

I like working, and especially from home because dh wouldn't allow me to work if I couldn't stay home with the kids, once there in both in school full time , I can probably get a job outside the home, but right now that's not an option.

What do you guys think of moving to Alaska? We really want to move out of state asap! To either washington, oregon, california or possibly texas, or maybe ALASKA!
Were so over vegas.

Anyone use the $ off toy coupons yet? I am asking because I have been getting that stupid message about verifying the $ amount on the coupon and then they clear it and it comes off right.. but last night, none of my $ off coupons did that... ($8 movie peelies, $1 pampers, $3 glade) and I am hoping these toy ones wont either.

Slowtech I forgot to answer the turkey question, I meant bbq not deep fried. That's just scary!

As for my job situation, I'm gonna ride it out. I was thinking of maybe going back to school, -m not sure yet what I want to do?

Just to give u a little background I have always been a stay at home mom, still am, but I now also work full time from home, for a year and a half now. I wouldn't have gotten this job if it wasn't for the fact that I can stay home with my kids while I work. DH is very traditional, he does not want our kids to ever be in daycare, and so far they never have been. Ds is gonna be five in nov. And next year will go to kindergarten. Dh and I also own a business but do to the economy it has not thrived as we hoped. We have been lucky to have a few dedicated clients that continue to call in work, but its not guaranteed. DH said if worse comes to worse he will work for another company. So I guess only time will tell! I'm not going to quit my job this could be an oppurtunity to advance, if the company does survive.
My situation is a little different (it's just me- no family), but I also work from home. It's my own company and it's very scary that my entire life depends on whether or not I can succeed or if my networks pay me (trust me, it destroys you when you're expecting a 10k check and then the company goes under and doesn't pay you). I'm in an area that does exceedingly well, despite the economy, but I am at the mercy of others to an extent.

I'd like to go back to get my masters, but what I love to do and what will pay well long term are different things. Part of me thinks I should just be happy doing what I am now and then deal with additional school and jobs later...but I don't know. That seems almost irresponsible of me.
