RefCache - you rock. Thank you!! High Five I know you say it was nothing, but it's not something I could have easily done. I appreciate the effort and time you put into helping me (and my school).

You're welcome for like that tenth time! LMAO

It honestly wasn't much work. I'm a totally lazy old man. If that required more than about twenty minutes I would have said "fark this!!!" probably! LMAO

There's only like one or two things I've done here at SD that required anything I'd call effort.

And just one recent one. But that one's been SUCH A FARKING pleasure to do that I can't even call that "work". Plus it's for a very special SD'er.

You think I did that by hand? LMAO I'm totally too lazy for that! I thought you were some kind of photography whiz!! Ain't you learned no Photoshop boy?

That whole thing mostly consists of just a few predefined shapes - two triangles, two circles, two rectangles one of which I warped into a trapezoid, and three completely straight lines. The only thing I "drew" was the crown of the anchor and that was using the pen tool on a work path of five total points and some dragging around of some curve tangent lines. Then I just made a mirror image of the result horizontally for symmetrical reasons.

It honestly took longer to type of this post than to do that all that probably.

After that it was just some layer styling. Simple point and click stuff.

Roll Roll

Holy fark Max. You weren't even close!

Sure but those things I mentioned are useful for selection tools, layer/vector masks, etc! Surely you work some with those in photographic editing!!

They're like basics of Photoshop. The pen tool I could see arguing because it might "seem" difficult to use at first for some.

But aside from the ability to use layers, it's maybe one of the most useful tools there is.

Well don't be afraid to give it a try! Seriously! I've taught Photoshop basics to 70 year olds!!

If they can learn anyone can!! That's why I gave you the .psd files too. In case you ever want to play around with them.

laugh out loud Selection tool, check. Layer masks, check. Pen tool, check. Layers, check.

I see what you did (now that you spelled it out -- in the previous post), but again, I wouldn't have thought of doing it that way laugh out loud

I ain't got no formal Photoshop learnins' so I do things the way my perverse scientific brain comes up with that requires the least amount of effort.

Also that concludes today's lesson on Learning From the Oldies!! We now return you to your regular pie thread already in progress!!!
