In the interest of my kids not starving to death, I dragged my ass to Walmart to buy groceries, pick up cough medicine/drops and feed them at McDonalds.
Okay.....done whining (for tonight anyway....maybe)
I just had Taco Bell and it was delicious.
still kickin darlin?
"You're not dead yet??!?!"
But what I did for grandkidlet was change his sheets often. Because fresh sheets always make me feel better. And I bathed him down a lot with wash cloths while he had a monster five day fever. Those two things made him "feel" better even when he wasn't feeling much better. So change your sheets and get sleep when you can!!
I also had lots of cool drinks for him to sip on and made lots of those same drinks into popsicles. Hopefully you're hydrating too! Keep liquids really thin. He asked for some juices so I diluted them down with ice and some cold fridge water when I gave them to him. I kept foods pretty light! Soup like jenni mentioned. But thin soups - nothing too heavy. Both hot and cold liquids helped soothe his throat in different ways so I just went with whatever he requested. He seemed to want Goldfish a lot. I have no idea why!!!
He had a craving for "green Slurpee" twice. I had to go to three different 7-11's once when the local one's machine froze up and I couldn't get it to work. I offered some pimple farmer $20 if he could get the machine to work and he just gave me a blank stare.
Sigh. Today's youth!!
Hats off to you woman!!
This is the first time I've ever been excited about that.
