AMC's The Walking Dead [Spoilers!]

Did you watch?

For a show on a non premium cable channel, I thought it was very good. I never read the comic, so I don't know how it compares, but I'll be watching every Sunday. pisses me off that I don't get AMC in HD though.

Sasha is clearly losing it little by little. Carol gets scarier by the episode. Rick is turning into the governor. Daryl is becoming soft (letting people in). And where the heck is Morgan?

Someone will obviously die during the finale since Norman Reedus said to bring tissues. I know plenty of people would stop watching the show if Daryl was killed but those people aren't true fans of the series if they stop watching after their favorite character dies. Rick and Carl are equally important characters imo.

Thanks for the link. Definitely some interesting info there. I am not a reader of the comics, and my understanding is that the show deviates from the comics a good bit. I dont mind reading comics spoilers because you never know if that is actually going to happen in the show anyway.

Think about the other option, though.

I don't think Daryl will die - he's already been announced as appearing on the final episode of Talking Dead following the finale, which they usually don't do ahead of time if a character is being killed off.

Rick just comes off like some weird pervert with that girl...it was cute and flirty at first, but now it is just weird. The "Claimed!" is a good thought laugh out loud And it made me think of an article my wife read that said in today's world that common courtesy is so rare that people often confuse just being polite with flirting.

The earlier "Daryl" youtube link transformed into "Season 1 Daryl Quotes" and a funny one was when they were searching for Merle...he said "Merle is so tough he could eat a hammer and sh*t out nails" and then "No one could kill Merle but Merle" <-- that one, knowing how Merle dies...was pretty cool, haha.

Interesting comment on confusing politeness for flirting. If it looks to us like she is flirting with Rick, what must it appear like to him?

I don't understand why the new thing [not just this show] is to instantly assume someone must be gay if they aren't involved in some sort of love mess. Maybe he isn't into Beth because she was way young and crazy...and maybe he isn't into Carol because he doesn't like blue hairs? Is he a racist because he doesn't want to bang Michown and Noah at the same time?

I totally agree. Unless he and Beth were the last two people on earth and needed to repopulate the planet, I would have been grossed out by a sexual relationship between the two. And as for Carol, I like her just fine but seriously, I see her as being at least 50 years old. I have no idea how old Daryl is but I always guessed late 20's, early 30's? I know it happens (Elizabeth Taylor, JLo, Madonna, Robin Wright), but Sick.
