Semi-religious book "soars" the Amazon charts today, due to a thread created on a deal website.
Here's Natalie with the latest:

Thanks Chad, seems some book sparked controversy on a deal website today. A member received it as a "Secret" gift and was very traumatized by the whole ordeal. It has since turned up multiple searches and has increased in sales by 80% in only 3 hours. We have a long time member here ( name will be with held due to fear of moderator repercussions.).. " I felt the book was too religious to be sending some stranger on the internet, but all the "Jenni's thread" girls ganged up on me and didn't feel it was religious at all. Who let them out of the kitchen is the real question here?".
Now another long time member from here in the Local Boston area who goes by the username BostonGirl said to me today "Seriously? It's a Censored farking book. Stop being a Grinch."

So as you can see Chad, some mixed range of emotions there.

I'll be back later with any updates, but for now I am going to see if I can get in on this Secret Santa thing they have. You get free gifts from random strangers, I just need to get 100 reputation points by friday.

Back to you.

Thanks Natalie, and on to the weather....

Not to go OT or anything (lol), but does anyone here wear contacts for an astigmatism?

Back on topic, Autumn is free to use my address to send me stuff any time she wants. Whee (Mostly because I know that she'll say that she's sending it and then never actually send it. Roll)
I decided not to. The lady that does my contacts said I probably wouldn't like them and mine wasn't bad enough to HAVE to have them.

and

Me too!

Do you have Kohl's near you?
I'm good. How are you?
I have one about 25 minutes from me. Smilie

Ok, I'm not MQing all of you. laugh out loud

For those that do, how long did it take to get adjusted to them? I've worn regular ones for way longer than I should have (my astigmatism wasn't as bad as it is now) so I'm switching from those to Acuvue astigmatism.
The thing is, when I look up from the monitor or look in a different area, my eyes have to adjust each time. It's really weird and it's giving me a headache. I don't know if this is normal or if they got my prescription wrong. (I just got them a few hours ago.) Any experiences like this? Or, once they're in, they're fine?

I never got used to it. Felt like razor blades in my eyes that itched all the time. Hated them.

They don't hurt me at all. My regular contacts weren't doing the job anymore and I was straining my eyes. I have glasses, too, but I only wear those at night or when I get pink eye. laugh out loud

Well, fork over the address, lady. (Pm of course)

I don't get very many b'day cards. Most people just write Happy birthday on my Christmas card. Annoyed

When I got mine...I noticed that I could instantly see the item (place) I moved my eyes to see...but I don't recall if I needed a day or so to get used to them...it's been a while.

I did have to get this new pair of glasses redone as the doc mis-wrote the Rx for the left eye...it was off 90 degrees!EEK! Now it's all good.
