That sounds strange to me, UTR. Even scared or lonely for another dog shouldn't make her not want to move. If you leave her alone in a room, what does she do? She doesn't follow you? I've never gotten a new dog that didn't follow me around after a couple of hours.

You DH moved somewhere for a job, right? I think I remember reading your post somewhere that he took a job elsewhere for now.

I've been sick for a week so I've done very little (which would be an understatement.) I have not really moved much from the couch all weekend......unless walking to the door to pay the delivery guy counts. I wouldn't even have done that much if I didn't actually have to feed these critters that call me mom.

Patrick should be home in about 4-5 hours if he doesn't stop for the night Yahoo! I'm excited for him to come home but I'm betting in about 2-3 days I'll be writing "Man it's a whole month until he leaves again...blah." laugh out loud
I'm betting in a week, you'll be like, "Patrick? GTFO!"

I moved for my job. He is applying for jobs here and will move out asap. In the meantime I'm going crazy!

Being sick is no fun. The start of school always spreads germs. I've had 2 colds so far. Mad

No, she won't follow. Just lays down and sleeps.

It definitely doesn't explain why she isn't walking. And heck, I know of very few dogs that won't walk, drag, creep or crawl to make their way to a treat. Is she walking at all? Walking funny? Limping? Gosh, I would be very nervous that the foster parents aren't being forthcoming with information.
When we force her to walk she walks fine, but she cowers and frightens easily, and she backs up into corners. Which is why I think she's just a little terrified.

Doh Sorry. I remember reading something about (obviously you) moving for a job. Living apart must be hard. Hopefully he can move sooner rather than later.

Having four kids in school makes for interesting times. It seems they bring in the germs but I am the one getting sick. I hope this isn't an indication of how our winter is going to be. This seems awfully early for so many people on SD to be sick with colds or the stomach bug.

How long did the foster people have her? That would concern me. Poor puppy. Frown

Was she abused before she was rescued and fostered? Maybe she is just really timid right now and needs some time to trust you.

Not abused. She was in Arkansas though laugh out loud

The foster parents must not have had her too long. They claim she is 4-5 months old, but I have my doubts and am thinking more like 7-8 months. time for bed.

Pink and black. Those are her colors. I decided long ago.

I have a pint size bed bounced, too. She is a night owl (much like her mother) and hates going to bed at a reasonable time. But, she is also a miserable bear (much like her mother) to wake in the morning.

Good luck and let us know how she is doing tomorrow. Goodnight.
