And I did not leave early. And it's not my problem if they don't dump enough junk off for me to do. And nobody cares what I do as long as what I need to get done gets done. And I knew you were all cahoots mechanics when someone posted "I aim to please my cronies".

Go pile up on someone else.
Weren't you the one who keeps talking about cronies? No one else in this thread mentioned it laugh out loud

I'm happy leasing. The last car I owned was stolen and unrecovered and I owed a lot more on the loan than it was worth. Not a problem anymore! And no repair bills!

Why am I even responding to someone with such bad post?wave

I felt the need to log-in just for the simple reason of telling you to just stop posting in this thread and adding to my headache. If you can't comprehend.. take a field trip to an automotive shop, bring a copy of this thread, and ask them to decipher it for you.

Does she want to go to the mechanic that can read fast and charges $200/hour, the mechanic that's an average reader and charges $100/hour or the one that's studying hooked-on-phonics and charges $50/hour?

Because we all know she wouldn't go to a fat rate mechanic

Pig, everyone is not taking my side - they are trying to explain to the nooblet how the FLAT RATE SYSTEM works with various examples - but not to avail - the synapses in the brain of this person do not connect when it comes to this discussion.

It has been noted in detail how Mechanic A, B, C, etc would all be paid the same rate under vary circumstances, but this nooblet still cannot get the synapses to connect in his brain.

He's not a mechanic if he has a lease car, that indicates he doesn't know crap about how to fix an automobile, other than turn the lease car back in to get a new one if something breaks down Doh

Thank you.. and I know how to use a screwdriver to fix things.

It's not that they're charging a flat rate, but that they are listing xx more hours on the time sheet and getting paid for that. Charge a flat rate and make a lot of money but don't lie to someone by charging for six hours if it only took you two and why post an hourly rate if you're not sticking to it? You should be posing a per task rate instead.

Get it straight already, your so set in your way you totally miss what I'm posting every time.

Iagree

She's just arguing semantics. "I don't want my receipt to say $35, I want it to say $35!"
