What the fark is going on in Arkanas?!?!?

State officials are investigating why thousands of fish washed up dead on the shores of the Arkansas River last week.

Officials are expected to release their estimate of the total number of dead fish Monday, local NBC station KARK 4 News reported. It is likely to be in the hundreds of thousands.

The fish were found Thursday by a tugboat operator along a 20-mile stretch of the Arkansas River near the city of Ozark.

I am glad you said this, so I looked it up. You are right about this happening, but usually it happens in the 100's or less; with a pretty obvious cause. What makes these 5 days unique is that the same thing is happening at the same time, in much greater numbers, to several different species- bats, birds, and fish and in a broader area (states and countries). All of them showing the same type of trauma, with no known cause, all dying within hours and days of each other. Which makes this story weird and curious!

For instance, the 500 birds that died in Louisiana all had broken beaks and backs. Weird!
