Don't forget the Whiskas tray BOGO coupon expires on the 9th. Got a few of those I need to use up.

Also the Pedigree Dog Food bags (8.8 lbs) are $8.49. Mixes well with the Cat Food Trays. nod

Now, see, that meat is perfect for my low carb diet. The veggies probably are too but I try to avoid them as much as I can.

I sear love2bee and I are living in parallel weight loss universes. She is right, the low carb really doesn't leave you feeling hungry and deprived if you plan accordingly.

I lost about 30 the last time I did it and at that time 30 was all I needed to lose. I think the biggest benefit was that I also kept the weight off for several years. I did think differently about food. No, I didn't continue on severe low carb never eating bread or cake but I ate a lot less and just did things differently out of habit -- little things like mayo not Miracle Whip, less dressing on a salad, etc. So, when I did have ice cream or cookies, it was ok. I gained the weight back and then some -- a whole lotta some -- when my thyroid decided to take a hike.

This time, I started losing right away. But, the last time, I didn't start losing immediately. My husband did. I knew he would lose more and faster than I did, he's bigger, male, more physically active. I'm not stupid, but geez, he was losing weight and a month -- an entire freaking month -- went by and I had lost a pound or two. I was the one planning the meals, measuring, counting, doing all the planning and prep and HE was losing weight. I have no idea why I didn't lose immediately, most people do. But, after the first month of not losing I lost a lot the second month.
6 lbs. in two weeks is actually really good. It's also impossible to do NO carbs -- unless you literally don't eat anything but meat. Even lettuce has some carbs -- very few but still some. I stick with 20 net carbs per days -- which is what Atkins limits to for induction. I can't say that I exactly follow Atkins, but pretty dang close. (Total Carbs - Fiber = Net Carbs)
Yeah, I'm not doing strict Atkins/no carbs - seems way too difficult. And this diet is already kind of limited, so I think just eating meat alone would drive me crazy (but would be heaven for gt6 LOL). I just don't eat the most obvious carb offenders (breads/pastries, pasta, rice, etc). But I'm not sure if I'm not noticing the weight loss because I haven't thrown in an exercise routine yet or if I'm overdoing something (salad dressing? portion size? snacks?) or because my body is still adjusting. Maybe I'm a lot like you and won't notice it until next month.
I do agree that guys have it MUCH easier. My brother did the same kind of diet over the summer and lost weight rapidly. Sigh, something about that male body... Girly laugh out loud

princess and frog is brand new.

i'll be here on periodic breaks so i don't fall too far behind Wink. also to research prices.
It depends on where you are selling I think, and how much you paid for them.. Here, with my usual buyers, I would probably start at 15.00 each.

Yep, gt.. we are long lost dieting twinsLMAO

And I agree.. Many people say "no carb", but I can't imagine that anyone eats that.. cause almost everything has carbs.. I am following the Atkins plan to.. I started at around 20 carbs but now get around 20-25 most days. And I did the same thing as you.. Once I had lost most of the weight I wanted before, I maintained for several years by just being selective in what I ate.. I did have bread, but only 100% whole wheat and not everyday.. I had the lower glycemic fruits like apples, melon, berries, etc.. I even had an occasional potato or desert.. But, not everyday. For me, breaking the habit and sweet/carbohydrate addiction was the key. When I am eating normally and not low carbing, I wake up craving sweets.. then salty stuff, etc.. a vicious cycle. But if I stay on plan, the cravings are controlledSmilie Of course, 2 pregnancies, bedrest, nausea, and a thyroid disorder complicated the keeping the weight off thing for me.. but, this time I won't let myself go back!

I think the key to any weight loss program is sensible eating... not eating food void of nutrients, and exercise.. To succeed and keep it off, it has to be a total lifestyle change.

overdoing something
It's really really easy to be eating a LOT of carbs and not realizing it. Most salad dressing is horrible -- a couple tablespoons will have nearly a full day allotment. Some veggies are high and fruit is totally off limits. It isn't just meat you are actually supposed to get most of the daily carbs from vegetables. You just have to watch which veggies.

Huh, somehow I missed this.

Hope you feel better soon.. Been meaning to ask, what is milk macaroni?
Milk macaroni is just what it sounds like and I'm pretty sure it's a family thing and normal people don't like it. Cook and drain plain old ordinary elbow macaroni. Add enough milk to cover and make soupy. Add butter and salt. A lot of butter and salt.

She thought when she stirred in the tartar they were gonna get firm, so she may have added more. I had to teach her about beating them with the mixerLMAO
That's funny. I don't really know. I use mayo rather than cottage cheese. Easier to blend and I swear the cottage cheese left these weird crunchy things in it. I beat the egg whites until they are super stiff and in another bowl I also use the mixer and whip up the yolks a little with mayo. Then I blend the yolks into the whites by hand.

Maybe they were a little over baked? I think recipe says to bake about an hour, but in my oven half an hour is enough. I've never had them be crumbly but they don't usually stay puffing enough to slice in half either. They kind of flatten out. So for a sandwich I use 2. I have to say, they are about the perfect size for a hamburger bun.

Well, geez, what would be the fun in being an arse if there weren't witnesses? No reason to do it if you can't embarrass the mommy.

That is hilarious!

Anybody else here a Janet Evanovich fan? I just read her two newest books. Read then entire Wicked Appetite last night. I was a little leery, just didn't think there was anyway it could be half as good as the Stephanie Plums. I was wrong.

There was potential for 'chit' to be stuck to the fan.

Said potential 'chit' was promptly removed.

'Chit is no longer in danger of hitting fan.

Who were they talking about..countryfan.

It's probably all that red hair that scares them... of maybe it's the knife. Smilie Aww, don't be afraid of my puppy dog, she wouldn't hurt you. She might drive you batty bringing you her toys though.
