Why would your DH kill you? Ummm perhaps I should search the title first..

But these looked rather amusing considering the topic.
Tvhappy Smoke

Now for titles how about a spoof film "Flesh Gordon"? Paperbag

I'm don't have much experience in the department but saw part of one at a HS party. (Don't ask how a naive girl like me ended up at a party like that, I swear I was the only sober one there) I was mortified, amused, and intrigued at the movie all at the same time. Every once in a while I still think it might be amusing to find an old copy of it to watch all the way through some weekend when the DH & DS are out of town (My husband would kill me if he knew I ever bought something like that. So I keep secretly hoping some girlfriend will buy it for me.Blush3)

Nah, he's just a stick in the mud. He thinks he was too wild before we met. Now that he is married and going to church regularly he's wound so tight he can barely have a drink of wine at a special dinner without berating himself for days afterwards for having succumbed to temptation much less accept the idea of some soft porn in the house.

But he's my stick in the mud and I love him ghm Wink5.

But what I remember of the movie was fun. Think X-Rated "Campy". Well considering today's standards the X rating may be a bit much but sure was racy enough for my innocent eyes back then.

Let's just say I'm in the porn biz, but not in the movies (no one wants to see that, not cute).

Cool

I do Wink But for most people, it's just easier to say marketing instead of getting into details, haha.

Any chance on of you guys has a 20% gymboree code (found in parents, parenting, american baby, etc mags) that you aren't using? Pray

This is how it is and is going to be here. I have friends who definitely had TV's in their kids' room by the time they were 3. Uhhhhh....no.

I've had a busy day, will leave you all a couple pics of what I got done on the table today, basically I've stained the legs separately and attached the aprons, etc. to the legs. The rest will have to happen in our garage and the whole thing should be done by Friday as I don't want our cars having to sit out longer than that overnight.....DH took an extra day off this week so I could take my time and he can watch the kidlet Smilie Nope, that is not backwards...I've come to the conclusion that I actually like doing what I can completely by myself. I'm a perfectionist and dh is not:
No Tv in any bedrooms in our house. Or computers. Kids hated it but oh well...no harm done.

Table looks like it's gonna be nice, follow up pics please !

status update on my life cause ya know, it's all about me until 12 pm CST

Tanner is watching karate kid. River woke up, cried, went back to bed after about 30 min. of momma snuggles. Makena is crashed. Ambree is outside telling my sister what she needs to be doing. (she's so bossy these days)

I still have all of my hair, I don't feel manic, and I haven't had to go anywhere near a closet.

DH is still gone and my meds have kicked in so I'm doing everything possible to stay awake.

I work 1:15 to 9:45 tomorrow and it's gonna be the suck. I wish more coupon peeps would come to my store and shop. It really does make my day go better. So all you DFW peeps that wanna coupon, PM me

I am one of those people. We have a TV in our room, living room, and each kids' bedroom.:

Little late, glad those kids , didn't wind up in the closet or duct taped to a wall, with a hairless momLMAO !
Quote from setsail :
meeshe, when dh was at sea, I couldn't sleep without the TV on. We didn't have kids until almost 5 years after we married (I can't imagine that eerie quiet now laugh out loud) and it's a habit I can't break. If the satellite goes out, or there is a power outage I can't sleep. Does that count as watching TV if it's background noise while I read
eta had to share something cool. I had entered a raffle at Borders last week (educator week promotion) while I was there using the lovely 40% off coupon. Accidentally bought How to Train Your Dragon book 4, went back today to get book 1 for dd. When the employee at the promotion table saw me she said to hold on because she had my prize: I got a few free books with instruction guides, bookmarks, a reindeer Webkinz and a LEGO Toy Story trash compactor set! Yeah my 8 yr old is all about Bionicle/Hero Factory/ Star Wars sets but the Toy Story stuff is cute too. And, it was free.

And yesterday I found a Nintendo DS Lego Star Wars case (pieces on it are actually Lego) for $4, and a Star Wars tin lunch box DS starter kit/ case with car charger and skins for $2! Yeah, ds and dh are absolutely Star Wars fans.
That's how I "watch TV"LMAO , while I sleep or multi task .

Congratulations on your winning stuff, that's so cool . !

I'm here nod but by the time I'm done reading don't have time to post , just trying to keep up.

Had to comment...NEVER and I repeat NEVER leave your stockpile unattended. That same trip dh and I took last month where my dd decided to illegally drive the car....well, my sister-in-law watched our little kids. And, she had to exchange them at some point with my Mother-in-law so they met at our house where my MIL has the code to get in the house. So, my SIL (who I personally haven't spoken to in a few years - issues) goes into my stockpile and "shops". She literally sends my dh a text saying "I went shopping in your basement. Hope you don't mind". WTH!?!?!?! You want to go shopping? I can tell you where you can get the same stuff - TARGET. She said she'd tell us what she took and I could tell her how much I'd want for it. Like I'd do that - she just watched our kids for a few days I'm not going to say "give me $5 for that candle". (And, mind you I didn't ask her to watch the kids - dh set the whole trip up for my bday and he knows I wasn't thrilled with his choice of babysitters). I still don't know all she took...my MIL told me some stuff. And, get this - she took my brand new Bath&Body Works candle my neighbor gave me for my birthday. I just got it the day before I left. Just because I stuck it on my candle shelf DOES NOT mean it is an extra. I didn't have any more like that - why would she take that? Glade - ok. Bath and Body Works - not ok.

Vent over.

That was not nice of her , she really shoulda asked, but she knows that ,that's why she talked to dh. hug

snip **Thanks for all the well-wishes for my son. I think we found the culprit. His first tooth has broken through.
Hyland's teething tablets have been helping the crankiness.
Unfortunately my wife seems to be coming down with some crud so I'm home with my son.
Target has been pushed to the back burner.

Coingratulations on sons first tooth , now I hope your wife feels better soon.

They scheduled DS's surgery for next Thursday. Only has to have one, the will do a graft for his 'new' ACL, then 9 months of work until he is back to normal. He is a little bummed he will miss baseball in the spring, but with all of the rehab, should be pretty buff for football next year! Now, anyone have a coupon for an anesthesiologist, surgeon, PT, etc?
Hope he stciks to his pt after surgery, it really makes a difference in their recovery. Hope his surgery goes smoothly.

ahhh, she teases. fess up, girlie, fess up! laugh out loud

what happened with wags? can i help in anyway? what qs were you trying to use and why did they give you a hard time? fess up on that too. laugh out loud but whatever you do, don't give up on wags! wags is very idiosyncratic - sometimes how you are treated in a store depends on the sum total of the hormonal cycles of all store employees divided by the sunrise time, raised to the power of the quarterback passer rating for brett favre when he's pressured but trying to have a good day while some of his guys are injured. it's just all too confusing. but when it works, Big Grin

and finally, while we're fessing, Stick Out Tongue are you feeling any better? or are you feeling worse? take any vit c? get some rest!

p.s. anyone here watch desperate housewives? i though the whole bit with the women copying each other's moves with the vacuums was hilarious.

Good afternoon everyone! Trying to catch up for a minute while my toddler is chilling on the couch and watching tv.
Speaking of TVs.. many years ago my kids had a TV in the room.. But for many reasons, it came out and has never gone back. Not even my teens have one. Although the 17 yo does watch netflix on his xbox.

Thismom - your table looks like it is coming along nicely. I have been wanting a new table for quite awhile. We have the same one we got when we were married over 19 years ago. The finish is gone. I have thought about sanding it and refinishing it, but wouldn't really know where to start.
When we had a yard sale in June, I said they money we made would go for a dining set. We made 1200.00 total but ended up using it for several other things, including a vacation. Having another sale on saturday, but this will be CHristmas money and money for our anniversary trip in December.

I have been in one of those kind of moods the last few days.. I know I should be out shopping, but just don't want to go. I have so many coupons I have ordered and haven't used any of them. I have swiffer, butterfinger, hasbro, and many others just waiting on me.. Besides, I do need produce and other things, but I can't make myself go. I just want to stay home and relax.. It isn't like me at all Frown

You have to go to videos on the right side of the page and then scroll to the target sign, that's the video. This was a train wreck ! Official guy says basically fight um. They also reviewed the other couple videos out there.

Apparently this was the second time he was back there.

ETA I think I fixed link
