Such sad stories. hug Dealing with the loss of someone so special is so hard. In my case it was so early I had just found out and then later that evening it wasn't to be. I hadn't even really had time to adjust to the thoughts of a baby and then it wasn't ment to be.

Work sucked. The LOD isn't the funnest. The store was slooooow and I was crampy, bitchy, and not in the mood.

I had three reusable bag ladies tonight. I wanted to rip my hair out.
At least there are guests the cashiers hate more than coupon ladies. Reusable bag ladies. Teehee

Sadbye We are leaving again. I am not going to be able to shop or post for 8 to 14 days. Well, IF we get cell service I 'might' be able to read/post some mobil. I wish I could squeeze in few more trips, I really do need a few more rugs. Do your stores have the boot trays? I got one and REALLY want three more! They are only $4.xx and I want one for outside the front door and on the inside. Also outside and inside by the back door. It is so wet, salty, and gross with all the snow and mush tracked inside, you really NEED good winter trays and rugs, especially since we have hardwood floors.

hug I will miss you all and miss Target. hug

No, not normally. They are all colored and the bleach would... well, bleach them. Frown

I think I may run a hot water and bleach cycle tomorrow through the machine. I do recall thinking that the machine has an slightly funky smell to it, so maybe that will help.

If not, may just have to bite the bullet and do bleach in the towels anyways.

Nikayla - I haven't seen the trays - are they anywhere special??

I have been using the Tide laundry soap with bleach added. I think there is a color safe one with bleach too. Also I have heard adding a cup of vinegar or peroxide helps towell smells. I have not noticed any weird smells on the Target towells and DH tells me I have a super nose.

The boot trays are made by mohawk and are right by the other outdoor looking mats/rugs on the bottom shelf. They are not really that big, they are about the same size as cookie sheet and black plastic.

It costs a few cents more per load but the Clorox ultimate care hasn't bleached any of our non-white towels, and ALL of our towels are some color or stripe. Around here it's $3.xx for the smallest bottle, takes me a few months to use that. I'm not sure of the exact ounces but it is less than one gallon, maybe 1/2 gallon?

I usually use vinegar in most my washes, but I've been out and keep forgetting to pick some up!

Thanks for the boot tray info! We soooo need these!

Thank you. I will try this!

ETA:

There is a coupon for $1.50 off - but for some reason my ctrl+c/ctrl+p is not working. Confused

Okay, so I'm in a bit of an argument with someone on Twitter right now. Basically, she was saying that certain anatomical parts shouldn't be said by kids because they're "dirty" and basically the same as the kid dropping an f bomb. I say that a body part is a body part and there's nothing to be ashamed of and 'vagina' and 'penis' aren't bad words.

Yes yes, I know, with what I do, of course I'm liberal. But I don't have kids and she does and she says I would think differently if I had kiddos. So you mama's...do you use different words for body parts or are your kids taught to use the correct word? Or does it vary with age?

Just curious.

ank, the bottle I have right now is 90 oz. I think it was 6.99 at Target?

kallison, I'm a fairly conservative person but I felt it was best that kids learn the correct name for their body parts. People wouldn't use a cutesy nickname for an ear or nose, why should it be any different? Ask the 3 yr old monkey toddler, he'll be happy to tell you that he has a hUUUge, giant penis. Facepalm It's phase, one I hope he quickly grows out of.

Well, all my kids know they have a penis and a vagina. Well, they don't have both each but you know what I mean.

However, my 2 year old calls the entire area her butt, my 6 year old is too embarassed to say anything, my 4 year old calls it her teetee.

I don't see anything wrong with learning the correct terminology. I was even told that it is a good idea to teach children the proper terms instead of funky nick-names as a safety issue. i.e. it's much easier to understand/pay attention when a kid says "Mr. Neighbor showed me his penis" vs. "Mr. Neighbor showed me his wangdoodle..."

So... I have taught my kids the proper terminology. But I have also discovered that they often name things their own way too... *laugh*

I don't think that these body part names are offensive in any way - and one would probably consider me very conservative when it comes to discussion on these things. What becomes the issue is not teaching children when it is appropriate to discuss body parts and with whom - and some of that is just going to be vigilant parenting and understanding that most kids go through a couple of "potty humor" stages in life.

Though, there are standard defaults to body parts. i.e. Penis becomes pee-pee, breasts could be chest, buttocks could be bum or booty... etc...

Thanks for the opinions, guys. I just didn't know if I was way off in my thinking.

I did have someone at VS one time tell me to not say "breasts" and to please say "boobs" instead because it was less offensive. I was like, WTF, you sell bras for a living, get over it.

I'm all for teaching the proper name for their private parts , I see it as part of their vocabulary development. , annnnd I'm old LOL .Sounds to me like she has issues , your god given parts aren't "dirty " . The F word is a curse word , I'd rather hear penis from a three year old than the short version of Richard , that has a " dirty" cuse word connotation. I don't see anything dirty about the proper term for a body part. MHO

I find boobs to be more offensive than breasts. I remember telling my mom that even when I was a young teen. laugh out loud

Seriously Kallison, that is just silly!! I second what Ank said about teaching them the proper terminology for that reason alone if for nothing else. The only argument I could think to make against or with that is that it is probably important that you teach them that there are appropriate and not-so-appropriate times to be using such words....you know, like you wouldn't want them yelling those words down the aisles of Target I suppose Teehee

And as for the VS lady, that is just Crazy and makes no sense whatsoever.
