Yes, my mother actually made me try to put a condom on a banana. EEK! laugh out loud I think she was trying to make sure I was still "well-informed" since I went to the local Catholic schools. Wink

I think my mom had just the opposite idea- you're in Catholic school, so obviously you don't need to learn about sex! Cause, you know, I'm good little Catholic girl.

My mom became a Catholic after marrying my dad. She was raised in a pretty non-religious environment, especially since my great-grandmother had raised my grandmother in a very strict, fundamentalist Nazarene household. (No dancing, no card playing, no girls wearing shorts... that kind of thing. So granny rebelled by raising "heathen" children. Wink)

So given all that, my mom didn't have any such notions about being "a good little Catholic girl". Nono2

Got some good deals on towels last week but they have raised the price $1 this week to $6.99. Got them last week for $0.99 plus tax.

Bought Keurig K-Cups this morning for $4.24 after $5 coupon and 15% off coupon.

Just takes a lot of time using 1 or 2 coupons at a time.

Ahhhhhhh matching dressers for dh and I are on my list for spring. Our bedroom is the worst-looking, least-decorated in the whole house. We have a cheap-o headboard that we got at WM right after we were married, we just got around to making a nightstand last spring (only one will fit in the room) and we have hand-me-down unmatched dressers from before we were married. So, two matching dressers and I need to do some painting in there - plus we don't have any curtains...just some cheap blinds that will also be replaced when we put the last half of the new windows in next spring. Oh well, nobody really sees that room but us!

For the rest of the house, DH and I try to act like civilized adults/parents w/curtains (and usually blinds, too) on all the windows... except our bedroom. That's where we go totally old-school college-apt w/the dual Bob Marley tapestries push-pinned into the window frame. laugh out loud Cool

I was thinking the same thing... It would be pretty easy to do loft beds w/desk or futon underneath, but I don't know about all that extra storage. Dontknow

I remember turning 13 and my b-day present was a "new" room. I got to paint it two shades of purple, got a phone line (not my own, just the extra jack -- remember those days? laugh out loud), a very old 20" TV .... and a bunk bed w/a futon on the bottom.

Man, did I think I was cool... LMAO
