OMG hell to the no!

I was at a fast food restaurant Hide last night and I gave the drive thru girl $20.30, as it was $5.28. She tried to give me back $14 and some change. Nono2 I gave you the change, give me back $15.02 and she acted all pissy about it.

nod I thought, this is why you work at a place like this, not enough brain and can't even type in the amt customer gives you for the register to tell you how much to give back to customer. Since when can't people count? They would FAIL at couponing (particularly at wags!)

oh gosh. My first thought is hell no as well! I could never not see the child as DH's in that situation and watching that child grow up having your DH's features and mannerisms. How did HER DH feel about that? It seems like that would have been awkward for him and a donor a much better option. Yikers. hug
At this point her DH is just willing to go along with whatever she decides. He personally wanted HIS own brother to be the donor. Faint I think the ONLY way I would be slightly OK with it would be if she moved to a deserted island and we never saw her again. laugh out loud

I think "How To Tame Your Dragon" is coming out soon...tomorrow? Next week? Scratchchin Anyhow, does Dreamworks ever have coupons? The kids (and me Blush3) loved this movie so I'd love to get it but retail....yikers.....Coverlaugh
I was thinking the same thing and as I recall, there are never any Dreamworks q's. Don't know how to make this one slick.

juliebeans, my sister was about 24 weeks along and she went to the hospital. They kept telling her she wasn't in labor but had a UTI. Her doctor finally came by and decided to check her cause she was bleeding and she was 5 cm and his feet were down in the birth canal, he actually kicked the doctor. They sent her by ambulance to the nearest hospital that could handle a delivery that early. They intended on doing a cerclage but when they got there, she was 10cm. They ended up doing a c-section to protect him from the trauma of delivery. He actually squeeked when he was born. So sweet. He was intubated and every single minute was an up and down. They did a sonogram of his head and he had no brain bleeds but a sonogram the next day showed a stage 4 on one side. (the worst stage there is) My sister got an infection and her incision reopened so she was readmitted and wasn't allowed to visit Anthony for 3 days. He was 11 inches long and weighed 1 lb 7 oz when he was born.

He lived for 10 days before his heart gave out. Me, my sister, my mom, and my dad sat in NICU with Anthony that night. My sister held him until he passed away and then we all held and kissed him.

The most tragic experience in my entire life. He was born October 30th 2009.
Frown I loved the video - it was beautifully done. I'm so sorry for your loss Comfort

Hubby left here wearing his new attached to his head by the pin in his skull hearing aid this morning. Wow, you should have seen him yesterday. When they first got it programed and he put it on he was absolutely amazed. He didn't realize that when you cross or move your legs that your jeans make noise. He had never heard that. Then he picked up his fluorescent orange work hat that is some weird material (we had to leave straight from work) and couldn't believe how loud it crinkled. He about jumped out of his skin when we shut the van doors. We had to stop at Menards for more soffit material and he couldn't believe how loud it was in there -- I just told him, wait til you go to Wal-Mart. So, it was a pretty amazing evening. I can't wait to hear about his day today.
That is incredible!

I also now really want to make some furniture. I told my dad he was going to help me make a dresser for my dolls (don't laugh) because I am not paying $349 for this [americangirl.com]one at the American Girl store.

It's such a silly thing from when I was little, but it brings back some happy memories for our family and I like that Smilie

I also want a new dresser for myself
My girls havethis [americangirl.com] one (from their generous uncle). Reading the reviews of the one you posted makes me think you could build a better one.

That is really sharp, was this just a pt hobby?
It was, then he quit his high paying job to open a shop. Lasted about 9 mo., but after a lot of struggle, it worked out well. After he closed the shop, he spent a little time unemployed, but then got an even better paying job, but they let him work out of Athens, instead of driving to ATL every day.

I need to personally thank whomever it was in here that was having the car odor problems not too long ago...my dd puked all over herself and her car seat in the car tonight. I can do poop. I can do most other nastiness. I don't do vomit. Anyway, the car seat harness straps were putrid and I could not get the smell out. Laid them out on the kitchen counter and let baking soda sit on them for awhile and then washed it off and they finally did not stink. So thank you to whomever posted that about the baking soda and the odors; I probably would not have thought about it otherwise!
When my daughter would vomit EVERY (not an exaggeration) time we got in the car when she was a toddler, I would carry big bottles of hand sanitizer with me. It works great for getting the vomit smell out of fabrics and hands in a pinch.

Hey..did anyone receive the Toys R Us Toy book in their mail this week? I am thinking it comes out this week... maybe... lol HUGS!!
I received a small one earlier this week. It was about the size of a half page, a little book. It wasn't the normal Wish Book though.

what a great idea about the Boston Market corn bread! do you continue to follow the directions for Jiffy for the milk and egg?? need full recipe. The nearest Boston Market is at least 3 hours from here so I only get it when we are headed south for Gator games Annoyed
I use 2 eggs and add enough milk to make it the consistency of cake batter. Then I just bake in muffin cups until done.

I don' t have an exact recipe, but there is probably one here: http://www.cdkitchen.com/copycat/ When my DH worked at UGA, our budget was always really tight, so I would use this site, and others like it, and try to make the copycat of foods we would love to go out and eat, but couldn't afford it.

Iagree That's just crazy! There is no way you can have an offspring (which essentially it will be) of your DH's that close to you. Have her watch a few episodes of Jerry Springer, it never works out well when your friend is carrying your DH's baby!

EEK! No freaking way! LOL Not even if you move back to FL b/c she'll still be on FB and email and everywhere you wanna be & that would be uncomfortable, I think.

I cannot imagine asking my BIL to do this but I see why (family resemblance) - still, it would make for an awkward Thanksgiving.

Totally know what you mean! Shocking Dh's Bff wanted to him to be her baby mama. Yikers. And yeah, it could have been a Foxworthy joke like LTL said Whistling Not making light of it L, because I'm sure it freaked you out Wink

oh, and true story-in college, my bff broke up with her long time boyfriend after he transferred colleges to be at her college. (Gator's alma mater...) anyhow, he actually contacted the Springer show and they contacted my bff asking her to be on the show. She said 'no freakin' way' obviously. Can you imagine?!?! Roll
