I don't like carving pumpkins eitherWink I am really excited about DD and the age she is.. I heart having a little one again. My teens are not fun to do stuff with like that anymore. It has been so long since we have done anything like pumpkin patch, zoo, aquarium, field trips etc.. I can't wait to do all those things with her. When the others were here age, we were always doing something.. If I only had money to fund all of these things I want to do..

Well, my DS passed his driving test a few weeks ago and we finally got him insured and an old car for him to drive.. We let him drive on his own for the first time Saturday. My DH was more nervous that I was.. But, he made it fine.. He has drove to school the last 2 days.. We are still so worried about him cause he really needs some confidence and just doesn't always seem like he is ready. We have been praying every time he leaves the house.. I wonder how long it will take before we feel more comfortable about it. And my DD is ready to get her learners permit now.. But, I am not ready Frown

I love this weather.. Fall is the best!! Only a month til Thanksgiving! And then Christmas holidays.. I wish I could bottle up the enjoyment I get out of the next few months and have the same feelings all year roundbounce

No, no fear of that, I don't have enough hair for layers. But, I don't really want a blunt cut bob either. I don't know, maybe just trim/shape it up a little.

My daughter is 20 and I have been comfortable with her driving from the beginning. My son is 23 and he still scares the hell out of me.

also, when you have your next endocrin appt, mention the increased hair loss. that is a very distinctive thyroid symptom and increases with certain meds - as in, a side effect. docs can adjust for that.
I have an appointment this Thursday. I want to try switching from Levothyroxine to NatureThroid (dessicated piggy thyroid -- nearly the same as Armour). We shall she what he has to say to that. I'm hoping it won't be a problem but if it is he will either write the Rx or I will find someone who will. And if he tries to tell me they are the same then I plan to tell him great, "if they are the same thing then there is no reason for you NOT to switch me, is there?".

On the subject of husbands -- Since we had kids, he works, I am home so I do all the housework, cooking, etc. Fair enough. But before we had kids, I worked full time too and it was getting to the point where he wasn't doing anything and was being a pig. So, I quit. I went to work. I did my laundry, I picked up my messes and I left his crap lay. Wasn't very long and our house was a pig sty. I didn't say a word. We lived 4 blocks from where I worked so I walked. I was coming home from work one day and I could hear our stereo from a couple blocks away. When I walked in the washer, dryer, dish washer, and vacuum were all running.

Let me also add that he does ALOT around here. We almost never have to call a repair man for anything. There isn't much he can't and doesn't do as far as construction type stuff. Right now he is doing fascia and soffit. This winter we will probably finish building the last room in the basement. We've done two bedrooms and a bathroom so far. And with any luck he will finish the electrical. Right after he puts in the new water softener.

Dreeme and Flug, ADORABLE!

Happy B-day Dazzled! Teri, where you hiding Birthday Boy?

I am now officially an Auntie! WheeMy SIL delivered 6+ weeks early last night, he is just over 4 lbs, but wouldn't have made it much longer, the placenta started to either calcify or crystalize? Not sure which, but she noticed yesterday that baby wasn't moving, heart rate was OK, but didn't pass the stress test, so ended with a C section. Baby shower is this weekend, 900 miles away and my DS is having knee surgery on Thursday. Guess I will be looking for a plane ticket in Nov instead of Dec!

Forgot to mention.. Flug and dreeme - your kiddos are so cute!!

Congrats on the new little one lisa Smilie

On the hubby talk. I guess I have been blessed with a wonderful husband. He works and does alot around here. You guys have reminded me how spoiled I am. I only work part time.. well, outside the home anyway.. He used to not be as helpful as he is now. I remember complaining about trying to work, clean, and keep up with all the homeschool stuff. But, when I was pregnant with DD and had complications, and then after delivery with her I almost died and came home so sick, he started doing much more. Now, he does 90% of the laundry. I do all of the cooking, but he will eat whatever. If I don't cook, he will eat sandwiches, can of soup, or whatever without complaining. He picks up toys, sweeps, does dishes all the time. heck, most weeks, he lets me sleep in on Saturdays and he is up cleaning. He doesn't really deep clean though.. No mopping, dusting, etc. I am thankful for his help. He does realize I still do alot because I am the one that makes sure the kids are fed, showered, have clothes they can wear, groceries in the fridge, grades done, etc.

Rofl2 I will pass this info. alongEvil....he just needs someone to light a fire under his behind half the time. I have never seen such a laid-back, apathetic person in my entire life. He is *capable* of a lot of things but lacks the get-go!

On the subject of husbands -- *snip*
This sounds a lot like mine....he has gotten better at cleaning up after himself though. But on the being handy....we never really have to call anyone either! I was pretty impressed when he finished a whole room in our basement by himself right before dd came along!! He knew he had a timeline with that one though because it was going to be his office and the upstairs bedroom where his office used to be was going to be dd's nursery...so he would have been without if he hadn't gotten it done!

*sigh* the husband discussion.

I have a good one. He cleans all the time the kids just go behind him and mess it up. Frustrates him so sometimes he gives up. I try to always keep the kitchen clean and he slacked while I was working. I think it was a tad overwhelming for him at that point so it took two full loads in the dishwasher to get the dishes done. The floor and counters were clean though. lol He vaccuums about 20 times a day because River likes to eat everything she can fit into her mouth. He feeds the animals, he takes out the trash, he helps with bathtime and bedtime.

He does a lot. He does more than I do in regards to the household chores and sometimes the kids. I do all the other stuff. I make the money. I make sure the kids go to the doctor, have medicine, have clothes, diapers, and I take care of any and all school functions/responsibilities. I think I run run run all the time and he stays home a lot of the time.

I get frustrated from running, he gets tired of being home. So sometimes he goes and I stay and all is well. Then there's that "wifely duty" that resets his clock. Amazing how 5 minutes of my time can make him go from straight up prick to cabana boy. Evillaugh

Ank - saw your rep comment from the Deals thread. I hear there are problems with returning a non-glade item from a glad transaction at CS later. Others have claimed that no matter what they tried cs couldn't get the register to give them back any money. They are also saying that GC's won't work for padding the order out. I did test the comments that you have to purchased double the value of the reward GC's post Q's and sure enough my q's started beeping then scanning for $0 once my post-Q total hit $10. But haven't tested the comments about padding it with a different GC or returning the non Glade filler at CS after the fact.

I'd prefer to just do the GC filler if it worked but even if the CS return worked I don't think I'd do that as I dislike doing returns at CS more than I do voids at the register. I'm always worried that they will suspect I'm returning something I used Q's on to "scam" them.
