btw you can't get a raincheck for a normal shelf price item such as up&up window cleaner. System won't allow it.
We are going that way to visit the kid and parents. I thought I might stop at your store and pick up some produce for my son. Maybe a muffin for mom. Assuming the coupons are still good - I don't remember when they expire and checking that would require getting off my arse.
And I'm not sure if I am happy or sad. I always forgot about the Krispie Kreme until we were past CR. I swore next time through that I was not going to forget and I was gonna have a doughnut or 12, err I mean 2. I see that is has closed. No doughnuts for me.

On one particularly dastardly run the cashier said she was supposed to take the Qs first and match them to the items so that when they beeped she'd know I bought the correct item and how much it was for. This was after everything was totaled and loaded back into my cart. Target is really taking the fun right out of shopping.

I used to love going and watching the donuts rolling out on the conveyer belt and then getting a big box of fresly chocolate glazed donuts.

But, here, I'll throw in a whine, too, so you don't have to feel bad about yours. I don't even have a dryer anymore
So now I have to drag my ass -- and baskets full of heavy, wet laundry -- to the local laundromat, where I get a whopping 5 mins of drying time for every quarter.
If I don't do at least 2 loads of laundry each day, I fall behind. Every other day is usually 4-6 loads as it is.
The laundry is in the unfinished basement so I put rolling, hanging racks in there. I hang about 50% of our laundry- anything that's a knit cotton that is likely to shrink gets hung.
Does she like dress up? Go to a Goodwill (whatever) on bag sale, quarter day whatever you area has and do a dress up box. The flashier and gaudier the better. Buy a cheap suitcase to store it in. Decorate a cardboard box to store it. Don't forget the jewelry.
Claire's 5 for $5 or 10 for $10 or whatever they are having these days. Think matching stuff and do little sets.
Are you ok with her playing with make up? Dollar Tree beauty set -- or whatever you can get free with coupons. Raid you stash, you probably have some new stuff.
Home made gift certificates for free/cheap stuff she can redeem with you later.
Does she play with dolls? hit yard sales and used places for cheap newborn baby cloths for her babies.
Get her a kitty. All little girls like kitties and they are abundantly free... to get anyway.
edited to add: maybe you could find a cheap/free old used vanity and paint it up cute and fill it with make up, jewelry, etc. Wrap them all separately and put in the drawers and set on it.
Also, if she likes books, I found a ton of books at Goodwill on Sat, including new Diary of a Wimpy Kid books. They are only $1.25/ea for hardcover, or $.75 for soft cover.
At my T, small appliances was just reset, so this morning I found 2 Brita 6 cup pitchers on an end cap for $4.54/ea, while I was stocking. I had to wait over an hour, watching people browse the clearance end caps in front of me, before I had break, and could go get my (2) $4 MQs in my purse and get them. That was torture! Good thing, no one else picked them up, so with a Diet Coke ($1.49), my total was $2.13 for 2 pitchers & a Diet Coke.
