Why is it people always think if you work in computers you can fix anything. A lady at church accidentally erased all of the pictures off her mom's camera. DH found a program for her to try.. Instead of doing it, she brings him the camera to church Sunday. He spent 4 hours working on those stupid photos last night.. It was kinda cool though cause he got back almost every one.
Now, another desktop was ready for replacement. We were *supposed* to be rebuilding the computer for the kids but it somehow turned into giving him a faster computer. I bought our younger dd a netbook in August and he pouted because he wanted a new computer, so he got a netbook. The good thing is that we now have 3 desktops, 3 laptops and 3 netbooks to print from.
If I have a phone upgrade, and get something "cool", he whines because suddenly his phone isn't cool enough. He's added phone lines to go get that phone he wanted so badly when he couldn't wait 2 months for his yearly Sprint upgrade. *sigh* That's actually how we first ended up with the kids having cell phones, they would get passed down the ones he no longer wanted.
My GPS died and I bought a new one (one of the $40 clearance TomTom last year) and he would have pouted if I hadn't bought him one as well. That's how it goes around here.
eta I missed out on the free Thomas last year.

Oh, I never got in on the TRU one. I read about it, but didn't have the time to do it. Plus, Target had pretty much supplied all our needs in that area.
I'm trying to remember what first brought me to slickdeals, and I'm not really sure. Feels like I've been here forever! I lurked for a long time before I joined/posted.
Hello! I visited your store last night. Before we left home, I had my husband look at your avatar and told him if he spots that baby, tell me. He absolutely would have remember too. Me? HA! I'm doing good to recognize my own two!
Anyway, got a couple 12 packs of cream soda just cuz we needed it and it was $2.75. Otherwise, I got 4 Purina treats - TQ+MQ, 10 Beneful MQ, 4 Muffins TQ, 2 fruit TQ. Everything went through just fine. The Beneful asked if the amount was ok, then automatically adjusted it ($1.64). I think that was the only one that require intervention.
Stopped at another one on the way too -- Beneful, Muffins, Fruit -- coupons went right through. Didn't find a Roomba at either -- well, I found one but it was $299. Forgot to take the numbers in to check the fire safes and I wasn't lugging all of them to the scanners.
Which reminds me. What the heck is the deal with your scanners? They said "Ready to Scan" but none of them would actually scan. Damn things.

Ingredients
5 medium sweet potatoes, scrubbed
4 bananas, unpeeled
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, at room temperature
1/4 cup honey
Kosher salt
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup dark brown sugar
1 1/2 cups pecans, chopped
Directions
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
Prick the sweet potatoes all over with a fork, put them in a roasting pan and roast for 30 minutes. Toss the bananas into the pan and continue roasting for 10 to 15 minutes, until both the bananas and potatoes are very soft. Remove the pan from the oven but don't turn the oven off.
When the potatoes are cool enough to handle, scoop out the flesh into a large mixing bowl. Peel the bananas and add them to the bowl along with 1 stick of the butter, and the honey. Season with salt and beat vigorously with a wooden spoon until everything's well combined and the mixture is fluffy. Spoon into an oven-proof serving bowl and smooth the top.
In a separate mixing bowl, use your fingers to rub together the remaining stick of butter, the brown sugar, flour, and pecans until the mixture is the consistency of coarse crumbs. Sprinkle the crumb mixture over the sweet potatoes and return to the oven. Cook for about 20 minutes, until the crumbs are golden. Serve hot

Like this, but green. No toy golf clubs included. Paid $250 5- 6 years ago. I'm going to list it on Craigslist but not sure how much for. Looking at sites, I'm seeing $150 plus for metal pedal cars. It is in good condition because it was never really used.
Does anyone here buy specialty type cheeses? (like Alouette..etc) I found lots of good coupons for it but don't want to list them all if noone uses it. Anyone eat at The Cheesecake Factory? Found some coupons for that too.

Like this, but green. No toy golf clubs included. Paid $250 5- 6 years ago. I'm going to list it on Craigslist but not sure how much for. Looking at sites, I'm seeing $150 plus for metal pedal cars. It is in good condition because it was never really used.
I put it up for more than that 175 - 200, I've never seen that ,and alot of golfing dads would pay big bucks for it especially if it's in good shape.
