Hey... how is your ds and nephew? Sending lots of good thoughts and healthy vibes to your loved ones!!
OK, typed a long response, then lost it! ARgh!

DS is home today, he was in so much pain. Worst it has been since surgery. Called the Dr, but today is his surgery day. It looks OK, just warm from healing. Poor kid, was shaking and had tears in his eyes when trying to get ready for school. This week is the start of the new quarter, so is missing a lot. Oh well, what do you do?

As for nephew, no news is good news? I need to buy a plane ticket and call in sick to go meet him. I think they are hoping for a discharge from the hospital early next week?

laugh out loud I don't know if it's the same ghost. I've been hearing things drop on the floor upstairs since I moved in. I don't know what DD saw LMAO I refuse to believe in ghosts so I'm just gonna stay with 'unexplained noises'.

Got a call from the oncology office today. Doc wants to see me Friday. They wouldn't give me the results of my tests over the phone, which really irritates me as I hate waiting. I'm sure it's gonna be ok, but after all that, I can't help but be nervous. I do work in mental health so I think I'll go round up a valium or two from one of these docs...just to make the waiting easier Roll
You are in my thoughts. hug

Tanner (DS) somehow managed to cut his toe so off to the ER we went. Poor baby. It was gushing blood and it's all over the place. Going to have to shampoo carpet tomorrow. He got stitches and we go back in 12 days to have them removed. What a night.
Ouch...hope he is doing OK. My son dropped a flash light on his toe and we had to go to the emergency room for stitches! I cried, he cried.

LMAO oh nevermind... you can keep him lol I thought he would just randomly start cleaning.. my dh NEVER does literally... he is way too pampered by me to do so... sooooooo how was your two trips to Target...did you use lots of toupons???
I wish he would just start randomly cleaning! But sadly no, he will empty the dish washer once in a blue moon, he takes out the trash several times a day but we do have one in diapers. Other than that he is as messy as the kids. Until it gets him all worked up and then he boxes everything.

They were pretty good, I did use a lot of coupons and almost all of them beeped for one reason or another. The Aveeno TQ is expired, I hadn't realized. The Mohawk rug TQ didn't beep expired but it beeped. It just took a very long time to go through the coupons! The brand new guy was good about taking all coupons but when the register said the new k1 message about the item not being there, that kind of freaked him out so I was showed him a few things and he then k1.

Quote from lemonlime :
Sorry about your friend, I hope she is alright, and doesn't get mad for you worrying or having the situation checked out.

The reason I bolded your words is OMG we could be married to the same man. I finally broke my husband of boxing up our stuff. I said the exact same thing to him many many times, "you box up our stuff, and we never see it again," "you hide things from me when you box them up." If it was up to him everything we owned would be in a box. I have hunted and hunted for things and had to re-buy them like you said, because I can't find them and he forgets where he put them after he boxed them up. I needed to return my GPS that was acting up, and I couldn't find the box or receipt. I asked him where it was and where do you think it was? In a box someone of course. Ugh! My receipts might be a disorganized mess, but I'll tell you what I can find any one of them that I have saved within a matter of minutes. Finding the GPS box and receipt that he boxed up was a different story of course, that took us almost 45 minutes.

As far as throwing things away, if I didn't have the occasional fit he would throw out all our paperwork, books etc... that he didn't box up that is and deemed unnecessary trash. He now knows not to throw anything out until I can find the time to look through it (which seems to be never), and paperwork is to be put into stacks, not boxes, until such time. It may be more messy, which drives him nuts, but I can find everything and nothing important gets thrown out.
Roll how funny! At least I am not the only one dealing with this insanity. I did finally get him to stop throwing boxes away for items I purchased that I might have to return. Thank goodness because I got a $55 food chopper that worked about 10 times, then it just wouldn't turn on at all, so weird. I found that box easily, he left it right where I put it in the basement with a few other product boxes.

She posted again this morning so she must be okay now.

It doesn't sound like anything serious to me. But, then again, I'm me and used to my own morbid posts. :erm m: But if you have even the slightest inkling that she's in trouble, it's always always always better to be safe than sorry.

If you're concerned (for future reference), easiest number to remember is Hopeline at 1800SUICIDE- they can always get you in touch with local police and/or mental health teams in the area.
Thanks, I will remember that. If I was able to find a phone book I bet it would have been in the front section.

Quote from Dazzledby5 :
This is so true of me and another woman here. Although, we don't really compete so to say.

Ugh, That is a little weird and scary. At first I thought maybe it was lyrics or a quote b ut then no. I hope all turns out well.
Thanks, she is okay I guess. But a few of her other friends have posted now too, they had similar worries as me.

I had a few sales last year and so did another SDer gal who lives on the other side of town, a few people would comment about her at my GS but never about prices, we keep them about the same as far as I know approx 50% off retail unless it was stuff that nobody was buying like the furfighters refills that were MM. But she is more hard core shopper than me, she had was more stuff and tuns of clearance, a lot from K.

Nik - I don't think you're overreacting at all. My brother (I think I already mentioned) killed himself in March, no note, no good bye, no nothing. Just left for work and never came home. Had I had one chance to know it had reached that point he would be alive today, taking my kids trick-or-treating like he always did. Instead, they just placed his headstone. She may not have meant it as serious but people need to realize that it's not a game. You usually only get one chance to reach out to someone and if you miss it, you have to live with that forever. And that's nothing to joke around about. hug
Yeah, I didn't want to take that chance. I really appreciated your PMs when I was dealing with my uncles suicide. It sucks to be the one left wondering if there was something you could have done.
Quote from tootsie67 :
You crack me up! So, enough drambuie and I could just use clearanced dishtowels and kleenex? Seriously though, thanks hon. This is a good reminder to get back in the game. I was doing CVS deals 10 years ago and NEVER ran out of paper products. I have GOT to get back in the game to prevent having to pay nearly full price. I bought Brawny (surprisingly not bad!) and Bounty Basic. The Brawny was actually quite cheap at our cost-plus grocer. Either way, I need to take a xanax and head over to the CVS thread and start watching Wink

I can't wrap my mind around actually paying for Glade, so I sniffed all the new scents and bypassed the section entirely....on my way to paper towels of course...

That would freak me out. I would do my best to make contact with her as well. This country is in dire straits these days and people are desperate. Look at the rate of suicides. Nothing to play with at all. And, if she didn't mean anything by it she certainly needs to explain herself better before scaring the crap out of peeps like that. : (

Your screename was the first thing I noticed as well Wink I thought you were a 'Ghosthunter'. Love those shows!

We would ROCK IRL together! HA!! Dance14

hug on the loss of your brother. Suicide scares me so badly. My dh's coworker got the call last year that his teenage son had tried to contact him while he was in a meeting and by the time he got home, his son had shot himself. Absolutely tragic for that family.
That is such a sad and tragic story! I pray I never have it in my life again let alone that close to home. I just can't imagine how aweful it would be for that to happen with my kids.

How did you make out? Your friend is talking in the past tense, so this would have me worried.
She is FBing this morning so it seems to be ok for now. Now that I think about it more, when I knew her she was a little unbalanced back then. But she did have a baby when she was in high school and took her little DD with her to college. She has always had a lot to deal with.

i forgot to mention. yesterday i had to change the seats and springs in my delta faucet. good that the builder used delta b/c all the parts are guaranteed for life. you just have to call them and they say it takes 10-14 days but i think it took about a wk. bad that the builder used a horrible plumber who glued the button down so what should have taken a few seconds, took 15-30 minutes and broke the pen knife my dad gave me prying the damn thing off Annoyed.

luckily it was only glued in one spot or i might have had to drill thru the button and replace the whole knob. well, i think i would have ended up hiring a plumber at that point for a stupid little thing but couldn't figure out why i couldn't do it myself. when we moved in they had put the hot button on the cold knob and the cold button on the hot knob. when the builder's handyman pried off the buttons, it messed the knobs up but luckily he came across the plumber and got new handles instead of reusing the messed up knobs. they blamed it on the cleaning crew but i'm pretty sure the plumber crazy glued them all.

i heard from the home depot employee that told me you can just order delta parts from the mfr rather than buying them that moen does the same but ships faster.

so i will always look at moen and delta for faucets first. i've had to change the seats and springs in my kitchen faucet also. oh yeah, also had to change the cartridge in the shower, but for that i hired a plumber.

and also Annoyed that the smaller crescent wrench is missing from my toolbox. i always put my tools back so i'm thinking dh left it somewhere but maybe i used it during the yard sale and too much stuff going on so i forgot to put it back.

Hiya... Mavis had an appointment today - regular checkup. My little porky-pie is 13 lbs 7 oz (gained 2 lbs in a month!!!) and 24 1/2 inches long! She's in the 97th percentile for height/weight.

I stopped by Kroger on my way home and threw together a quick little run. Did pretty well and spend 4.XX oop. Yay.

DH's grandmother is in the hospital with congestive heart failure - 2nd time in a month. DH is a bit worried. She's his mother's mom and the same one who's hubby passed away this past winter. It's so hard seeing my hubby like this - he's not used to death, and this will be the 2nd major death in his life. They are talking about also possibly doing another pacemaker. I'm not sure how though - she's in rough shape and I don't know how she'd make it through a surgery like that. Anyway, keep us in your prayers please!

Not much else exciting going on though... just kind of hanging out now.

hug Hope you are all having a good day.
