My opinion is to buy the cheapest one you can find with the fewest options. Even at that they will all have hot/warm/cold and load size options and temp choices on the dryer. I would pick knobs over digital too.

There is less to go wrong, they will probably last longer, they are cheaper and they will get your clothes just as clean and dry.

i have two friends whose kids learned english at school. in both families each parent has a different first language. so each parent talks to the kids in his/her native language. all 5 kids - 3 from one family, 2 from the other, have no issues with english, plus speak each of their parents' languages fluently. and none of the languages are remotely similar - they are not dialects, they are individual languages from disparate parts of the world!
there is lots of scientific evidence showing cognitive language development - kids who learn multiple languages when young process languages differently than kids who grew up with just one language. and therefore the multilingual kids always possess an ability to pick up language much faster because their brains make language associations more fluidly. it's more complex than that, but that is the simplest way for me to explain it here. all that being said, i suspect she'd likely need a little more than just school english in the beginning just so she can catch up with the other kids and not lag behind in her english skills.

hope furnace gets fixed soon. it's starting to get a bit on the chilly side now... was 32 degrees this morning when i stepped out... good thing i had decided to carry a light fleece jacket with me to wear over my tee shirt. don't like walking around with that "deer in the headlights" look, if you know what i mean Embarrassment

Hope you guys had a Happy Halloween!!! There were very few T-o-Ters in these parts ... dunno I think it may become a thing of the past. Hadn't gotten a chance to use ANY of my 10/31 coupons ... not a single one. I haven't been to Target. Anyone able to use expired P&G;s? I have a bunch as I ordered them on ebay and I hate to just throw them if someone can use them.

I scanned a couple of pages & decided I would just start fresh.

M2T - I am so sorry about your washer ... ours died finally & completely about 1 month ago. Went with an LG as they were cheaper for the same washer as big brand names. So far so good ... and it does seem to use less water than the old one.
TM4D - Sorry about your counter - YEAH for the installation of the water softner .... hope your counter gets in soon!!!

Thanks! Deer in the headlights look -- I like that. well, I don't LIKE that, I just like that expression for that. I did find a solution to that problem though. I often have that same expression whether I am cold or not and even thick, umm glasses over the headlights don't prevent it. Lilypadz [target.com]. Seriously. It works, you don't feel them, and they don't show -- even under thin, light colored fabric.

Yeah, that is an upside....I am just not sure why the plumbing in the entire basement had to be redone...I think they just like to tinker with things. I'm not so sure I like them tinkering on stuff in my house LMAO They just got done sawing out all the old pipes. Was glad when that was over.

Anyone used that $4 Schick Intuition Plus printable? I have no idea where it came from, I've had it for awhile. But my coupon looks terrible, & I've been afraid to use it. Maybe I should re-print w/ my new printer.

The one I had printed scanned fine. I used it at CVS atleast 10 times with a bogo sale.. Let me see if I can find if I saved it. I have about 10 still printed, so I may not have saved it.

I got a new Elmo (washing) machine. It is not top of line or anything fancy smancy, but it's getting the job done and best of all...a very special lady gave it to me.

I'll tell ya..it really is doing good. Washing the clothes right up, stains gone, etc, etc.
The only thing is, I would NOT use this machine for delicates.
