I was going to say the same thing. I've had a few of the $ off Qs also scan at $0 and then when they rescan the correct barcode it goes through.

it's NOVEMBER. aren't they supposed to be kaput by now? and here's a life conundrum... so frost or atleast a hard freeze kills mosquitoes right? so if mosquitoes in the north die off in the winter how do new ones arise the following summer/fall? you'd think the cold would kill of eggs and adults.

I think I just need to breathe. And quit being a whiny baby! So far, we've never found ourselves not eating. (not eating steak maybe... be we've got food in our bellies and roof over our heads AND DH has a job to go to every day). I am just not very grateful - and thinking about it, I realize I haven't been for a while. Methinks Providence is trying to Bash

Some of my cashiers look at me like I sprouted horns when I tell them to try rescanning because it probably caught the funky barcode. They all just say "it's okay, I can do it this way..." and proceed to look it up and manually enter it. *sigh*

Anyone know why if you are doing a return with a receipt, the system asks for an ID? I had 3 bottles of Nesquik milk that had curdled, and after the receipt was scanned the person at customer service said they needed to scan my ID. Could it have to do with paying with gift cards?

Kind of irritating because I HAD the regular register receipt.

did the system *actually ask* for your ID, or was the person just saying that they needed your ID? cos if it is the latter, they're probably just confusing T's return policies. how unusual! Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

They might have put it through as defective or something like that. When I returned formula with the Similac recall they needed my ID even though it didn't count towards my annual total returns.

I have returned with a receipt several times, as well as returning with a gift card lookup and they have never asked me for IDshake head

I know what you mean hug We got to this point out of that 'panic' mode....we had all the medical bills to pay from when I was in ICU and the rehab....the hospital kept calling wanting more money, etc. Made me start looking into out finances and found out dh was not budgeting very well and we were overspending. Good thing is as a result we found DR's stuff (never been to a class just following the baby steps) and out of the bad came the good. It WILL get better, sometimes it takes time - a lot of it. Try to stay positive....it is hard!

We took kind of a break in October, didn't pay off as much, did a small remodel on the kitchen, new front door.....stuff that needed to be done eventually but was a little more fun. Back at it this month for the most part.

The person at customer service scanned the receipt bar code, and before scanning any products said that the system was prompting for an ID. She couldn't scan the bar code on the milk container without entering my ID info. The only thing I could think of was that I paid all in gift cards, lots of gift cards (I never think to have them combined on to one card), and had used a fair amount of coupons. Wonder if that triggers something in their programming now.

My idiot moment: I copied and pasted the Miracle Whip directly from the deals thread, but didn't read the coupon beforehand. Got up there with the MW and the TQ was for the larger size. Grrr.

Did the Olay gift Card deal end on the Toner? I tried to do it and it didn't prompt for a GC. I had 2 toner and a total over $20. Hadn't started handing coupons yet. Then I just forgot to try the cleanser.

Got 8 more Olay and Secret at Wal-Mart. Nothing else too exciting other than more Beneful for little miss toothless.
