On the topic of animals, does anyone happen to know why goldfish sometimes get bloated??? We've got one fish that is having trouble staying right side up, but otherwise seems fine. Dontknow

Quote from amil7036 :
For those who don't venture over to the Kohls thread often I just read that tomorrow and Saturday they are having power hours? Apparently 3-11 tomorrow and 8-? Saturday. Which means another 20% off toys already 10-50% off bounce

If this works it makes cheap Barbie/Disney Princess dolls:

Already on sale for $7.99
-20% (1.60)
-$5 Kohls q
= $1.39
Still a good deal, but the 20% will automatically get applied to the price after $5 Q, so:
$7.99
-$5 Kohls Q = $2.99
-20% (.60)
= $2.39

I love shopping for other people, too. Except I worry too much that they won't like it or think I'm cheap or something.

[QUOTE=sunshinesmom;34184485]They are not peelies. They are a single page 5 x 7 inch flyer with the coupon on the bottom. They expire 12/31. I think M2C said she got some from the sample lady. I never saw the sample lady but she must have left these behind and I was fortunate enough to find them....ALL of them. Evil

I knew I should have read all posts before responding so I could multi-quote. Oh well.

This is so true....you should have seen how I ripped that baby out of that stroller. Jumped over the stroller and up the stairs to hide. Then how we (me and 2 other hiding customers) tried to quiet him down as he started to cry (from the sheer concern of being handled so roughly and quickly). But, amazingly he must've felt our fear/concern as he hushed down very quickly without even paying attention to our distractions. Amazing how mothering instincts do take over in emergency situations. And...had that guy popped his head into that storeroom...and I had a gun...yep - he wouldn't have left with a dvd player OMG.

And....happy news! Congrats Jamie - babies are the best!
Yes, I do believe that children can sense their surroundings very well. Adults too, but I think children amaze me more Smilie

I am about halfway through school, and have worked for a vet for a little over a year. I heart it!

We actually did do it ourselves when I was a sophomore in high school! Now that I'm in college, apparently preserved cats are in short supply, because the school only has one...which is why we only get to watch the instructor. Sadwalk

It sounds morbid, but it's really the best way to see exactly how things work, and how to fix them if they are broken.
Are you going to actual vet school? That was my dream, but I had a family instead. Maybe someday I will go back, but right now I am enjoying my life with my DD.

Awww Bunnies! I didn't mean it that way! I am just NEVER there to read that thread. I generally read the last page and the first page, that's it LOL. I don't have the time like I used to, although I've been on a lot this week! Of course, that's because I'm procrastinating about doing something else

I really wanted to go to vet school, but by the time I was married to the right person and had my babies, I decided I'm too old. I'm going to school to be a Veterinary Technician now...it's a 3+ year program, which is plenty long enough! It gives me an opportunity to work in the field I have always loved, without giving up too much time and money to get there!

I know that Kohl's doesn't have a time frame on returns. I was cleaning out a closet and I found a bag of stuff I bought in 08...what are the chances returning it. I still have the receipt...it was in the bag.
It was like $60.

Lub onion rings... *sigh*

DH offered to let me have the car tomorrow so I can go shopping. Is it bad I want to skip "school" with our little neighbor girl so I can go use up some of the q's I've got burning a hole in my couponb box??? We are almost out of sugar, totally out of flour, need heartburn meds, need veggies and fruit, protein, eggs, milk, yikes... we're just out of everything. He came home a little early tonight and I could've gone shopping, but I am just too exhausted to go out.

I'm so not prepared. I need so much stuff and trying to figure out the smallest oop - every time I try to sit down and get organized something happens and I get interrupted. UGH.

I need to figure out what to do at T - feeling very lost.

Amazing how the cravings do that to you, isn't it?

Ank Enjoy your busy day. How is everyone feeling?
Baby's doing pretty well, teen is doing pretty well, hubby doing okay, toddler - I'm not sure. She's been overly tired and cranky, but not really showing other signs of being sick. Oh, she was complaining of being itchy today though - so I'm almost wondering if she's not coming down with chicken pox or something. *sigh*

DH's grandmother is showing signs of kidney failure now and is still in the hospital. I think they are doing or will be doing dialysis if they can get her hooked up. I need to get a clearer update on her situation.

Is it normal for you to have so many? You seem to be having a lot of them lately. Frown I haven't had a full migraine for quite some time, but I remember them being incapacitating - especially when having several in a row. Frown I hope you feel better soon - and if it's not normal for you to have so many, maybe you should call your doc and get checked out!! hug

Teehee I'd like to be there when you do...

Well... I guess I will go try to figure out what to get at Target! hug

Oh - and if you've sent me a PM lately and I haven't replied, you may want to resend it or at least say "hey, did you get my note?" Slap I have gotten lost...

well then sweetie pie, it's time to change that tap water part. have you heard of a book called "write it down, make it happen" ?
i'm not big on self help books and such, but this one, i highly recommend. i implemented it in my life and it worked and worked beautifully. it's a powerful book on manifesting one's wishes.

it goes in cycles. my sleep cycle (which is all about minimal sleep anyways) got severely interrupted last year and at the time it really bumped up the migraines. once we got the source of the sleep problems corrected and i returned to regular state of insomnia, laugh out loud the number and frequency of migraines went down but it has never gone back down to pre-disturbance levels. so i've generally become much more sensitive/prone to them ever since last year. Frown
add to that the fact that it has been an uber stressful year (intense stress is a big migraine trigger for me) and that doesn't help either.
but this mega migraine i had was thanks to a perfumed skin cream that a family member used. it's got this very powdery note that hits me super hard. and i had mentioned that twice before, but it wasn't taken as seriously. so I came home yesterday and bam! within half an hour i was slammed with an intense migraine. makes me want to cry just thinking about it because i've been so sick for the last 24 hours, vomiting 8 times. dizzy, light, noise, smell sensitive. in pain. and relentless nausea.

today being a holiday was supposed to be my day of rest, and to catch up on things. instead i feel beat up. and tomorrow is so busy.

Sadwalk

but thank you sweetie for noticing and for caring. i so appreciate it.
you are right though - i should get back to the doc again and see if they want to run some more tests to see why the frequency hasn't dropped back to pre-sleep interruption levels. i just hate all the brain scans they keep putting you through. it's just not good to have so much repeat exposure to radiation. you know?
