I am sooooooooo jealous of all of you getting SNOW!!! Christmas tree is up and decorated....this is the first year I can recall having to open a window or two because it was too WARM in here while we were putting it up. Been in the 40's to low 50's for high here today but the house was 68-70 with no heat running
I wanted to ask here, does anyone have the $0.40/2 Campbell's Condensed Soup coupon? It's from 10/3 SS. If you do and are interested in trading them to me please let me know! I promised a lot to the food pantry and now I can't meet my promise, and I hate breaking promises. I see them on ebay, but every time I bid they go up too high for me to buy.
I had worked out a trade for a bunch with a person for the food pantry, only to have her back out at the very last second. I'm definitely NOT happy! I need lots, but at this point will settle for whatever I can get. I have lots of stuff to trade (just no olay/secret/gain dish soap/ or $2 clariol) for these. Thanks!

The van had something wrong with the idle and I want to say modulator or something like that. Anyway, it cost us $260 to fix - so with the tow, $364 all total. Not great, but certainly not as bad as it could be, so that's good. DH decided to take tomorrow and drag everything not nailed down or on our physical person to the last flea market tomorrow, so we'll hopefully recoup some of that. I'm trying not to panic! It's not that bad, right??
but seriously, i hear what you are saying. people in my life have gotten this way now, too. no matter what the thing - toiletries, cosmetics, food, electronics - the refrain is always, ah but you got it for free/cheap. who cares if it breaks, stops working, gets dirty. it was cheap/free. and you can always get another one.
i love giving presents to those dear to me, and spend a lot of time and thought collecting/selecting things for people and around christmas, in addition to all the time and planning i spend a ton of time wrapping so each gift is a story in itself and artistically wrapped and the packages are clustered in themes.
so makes me sad when i hear those remarks, because it seems to matter less to the people. but then i realize, if money is all they are using as there yardstick then they never would have seen the true worth of the present anyways, so what's the difference. doesn't change my intent and so i leave it at that.

We're having a furniture sale and, oh my gosh, it sucks.
I hate that people fail to realize that even if I got it "free", I bought papers (I need to find a way to get more of them in FL- anyone know how?), clipped coupons, found deals, drove to the store, had to deal with the idiots at T...that's work!
If you have a Kohls nearby and have the $5 Qs plus a % off, you can get a good deal. I have a 15% I got in the mail, so sale price of $9.99-$5-15%=$3.50/box.
Regardless, a gift is just that - given out of love, whether or not its deserved, and it should be received in that spirit. If it isn't, then I would seriously reconsider that person and their position on my Christmas list. Money is too short, time is too short, to waste on those who don't appreciate it.
And that is my .02 worth.

Any idea if Kohl's carries them and how much they are? They seem to be in every store and catalog this year. If you need me to test coupons for you, I'm yer man!

My JCP is CLOSING. So my backup job when ever I am laid off at Kohler is now officially gone. Store closes at the end of Januaury.
Trying to refinance my place before I am laid off and emploment ends at all spectrums.
Life is a bowl of cheeies. Love them pits.
Plus I started gaining my weight back. Plan on going to the gym today. October was a bad month for me mentally.
I know I will be in here more when I am unemployeed.

Strike?? You just got back to work a few months ago, and they are mentioning strike? Why only 19 days left? That's awful that JCP is closing too. Is there a chance to transfer within JCP (locally)?
