Went back to Kohls and ended up with the Elite and a box of K cups and got back $.41 from my merch credit...I can live with that Big Grin

And, yes, you guys will have first dibs on Kohls Qs. Do you really think I'd let you guys keep paying? No way. I'll be selling some, but I need people to test the e-junkie store and make sure it's running okay- I'll set up a promo code or something for you guys.

Temps aren't supposed to be too bad and that area at least isn't in the middle of the winter storm warning area. You should be good. Just one thing..... if you take a buck, can I have your antlers? No, I don't want to mount them, just take a hack saw and hack them off. My dog has hers chewed down to about nothin'! Good luck! Hope you get a nice tender juicy one.
I'm in that area and we're getting snow right now and are in a winter advisory.

M2C didn't K have croup last year? Comfort Hope both kiddos get to feeling better soon!

Christmas tree is up and decorated....this is the first year I can recall having to open a window or two because it was too WARM in here while we were putting it up. Been in the 40's to low 50's for high here today but the house was 68-70 with no heat running Scratchhead Must be those new windows and door.

GT- A friend just killed a buck the other day, let me find out what he's doing with the antlers, if nothing I'll grab them and can mail them to you.

I wanted to ask here, does anyone have the $0.40/2 Campbell's Condensed Soup coupon? It's from 10/3 SS. If you do and are interested in trading them to me please let me know! I promised a lot to the food pantry and now I can't meet my promise, and I hate breaking promises. I see them on ebay, but every time I bid they go up too high for me to buy.

I had worked out a trade for a bunch with a person for the food pantry, only to have her back out at the very last second. I'm definitely NOT happy! I need lots, but at this point will settle for whatever I can get. I have lots of stuff to trade (just no olay/secret/gain dish soap/ or $2 clariol) for these. Thanks!
Let me check out the sites and see what I come up with, if I find them they are yours Smilie

Im' still home... didn't take the car today which is okay because I"ve been to darned busy to go anywhere. We had pillsbury biscuits and campbell's soup for lunch - *laugh*. We're scraping the bottom of the barrel.

The van had something wrong with the idle and I want to say modulator or something like that. Anyway, it cost us $260 to fix - so with the tow, $364 all total. Not great, but certainly not as bad as it could be, so that's good. DH decided to take tomorrow and drag everything not nailed down or on our physical person to the last flea market tomorrow, so we'll hopefully recoup some of that. I'm trying not to panic! It's not that bad, right??
Awww I have been there b4 ank... and sometimes with life it is just so difficult to get everything in line and get all the coupon shopping done.. Sorry about the van... its the sucks, but thankfully it wasn't that expensive.. HUGS!!

and therefore, when they ask you "now what are you getting me for christmas" you look at them with a big smile and big wide innocent eyes and say, warmly "why razors and body lotion, of course, so you can take care of your skin all winter long."

but seriously, i hear what you are saying. people in my life have gotten this way now, too. no matter what the thing - toiletries, cosmetics, food, electronics - the refrain is always, ah but you got it for free/cheap. who cares if it breaks, stops working, gets dirty. it was cheap/free. and you can always get another one.

i love giving presents to those dear to me, and spend a lot of time and thought collecting/selecting things for people and around christmas, in addition to all the time and planning i spend a ton of time wrapping so each gift is a story in itself and artistically wrapped and the packages are clustered in themes.
so makes me sad when i hear those remarks, because it seems to matter less to the people. but then i realize, if money is all they are using as there yardstick then they never would have seen the true worth of the present anyways, so what's the difference. doesn't change my intent and so i leave it at that.

hope the furniture sale got better.
Me too, me too!! I love Christmas shopping and wrapping for tons of people takes me tons of time... my dh and kids undervalue what I do at times and it makes me wanna smack them at times lol I always go out looking for the perfect thing for everyone rather just settle for the first thing I see. HUGS!!

I gave a friend of mine a birthday gift basket of lotions, candles, nail polish, cute socks- basically all the pampering stuff I got free. And her reaction? Thanks for the free stuff, but what did you get me for my birthday?

I hate that people fail to realize that even if I got it "free", I bought papers (I need to find a way to get more of them in FL- anyone know how?), clipped coupons, found deals, drove to the store, had to deal with the idiots at T...that's work!

If you have a Kohls nearby and have the $5 Qs plus a % off, you can get a good deal. I have a 15% I got in the mail, so sale price of $9.99-$5-15%=$3.50/box.
Nice on the Kohls keurig dealio-... ok your friend needs to get smacked a few times over lol No one realizes how much work it is to coupon... I coupon very heavily and cannot stand when people devalue what they get b/c we get it cheap or free.. yuck!! HUGS!!

Quote from flugette :
I agree with this. Also, I would like to add if someone complains about getting a gift of stuff you got for free, that person would be crossed off my Christmas list. Besides being just plain rude, that person obviously does not value your time and thought and effort. For me, I have, for the last several years, compiled huge goodie bags for my various sisters and sisters-in-law (10 in total) and they love them. Every single one of them knows how I got them, but it doesn't matter to them. I put a lot of thought into what goes into each girl's bag, whether its what pattern of the free black socks we got or what flavor of free Olay body wash to give. A couple of my sisters have tried the couponing thing and found it takes a lot of work, especially to do it to the extent that I do, so maybe that has helped them understand and appreciate the value of whatever I give them.

Regardless, a gift is just that - given out of love, whether or not its deserved, and it should be received in that spirit. If it isn't, then I would seriously reconsider that person and their position on my Christmas list. Money is too short, time is too short, to waste on those who don't appreciate it.

And that is my .02 worth. Big Grin

Couldn't have said it better myself!!

Facepalm oh the joys of keeping an older car that's paid for laugh out loud I really wish meeshe would move to Fl for my shopping buddy. I would totally bribe her with toupons to bust me out of here!!!

I know you are thrilled to have the kitchen almost finished!!! I wanna see pics! I've been delaying our backsplash install because I don't know what I want to do with it. I have backsplash web sites bookmarked. Teehee
OMG I would bust you out of there in a heartbeat if I was closer, no bribing just touponing together LMAO Sorry your day was a bust Frown

I finally managed to defrost the small upright freezer in the basement! I have 15 TGIFs, and now I have room for one more transaction of 6! I even turned my sister onto the deal and she is thrilled! Hugs and thanks to jeffshere for the extra help, too!

500 Kohl's coupons, kallison? Holy moley! I would really love to get one of those heavy, hooded sweatshirts that are completely fleece-lined. They look so comfy. Any idea if Kohl's carries them and how much they are? They seem to be in every store and catalog this year. If you need me to test coupons for you, I'm yer man!

Made some of the Green Mountain Sumatran- kinda weak, but it's not bad. I like not having any waste, though. I really need to get the My K-Cup now Big Grin

I bet I could make my coffee, run water through about 2 more times and then brew for my mom...and she would still say it's too strong!

LOL - No I never thought you were a geezer ... I think that you are younger than am I!!! I agree - that one picks up info throughout life - and yet there is still A LOT left to learn Smilie

I love that you use your Mum's with all the memories .... that is very cool! Part of the reason we go & cut down a tree at times is because of the memories ... I remember doing it when I was young as well.

I am an apple fan - I love Honeycrisp but never tried the cider. Regular cider is yummy though. We have an apple orchard near hear that has been in business for decades and we look forward to their cider all year.

I made my caramel apples from Honeycrisp though and chopped some peanuts to put on them and they are DELISH!
I love Honeycrisp apples as long as they are fresh & crunchy! I don't like sweet apples or the really soft ones ... I should try making caramel apples with Honeycrisp - in the past I have made the caramel apples out of Granny Smith apples (love the sour kick!) We went apple picking earlier this year - but all of the apples are gone now ... need to get more! Your caramel apple talk has me CRAVING caramel apples now! THANKS! lol

Awake...

Going to work today. 19 days or so left at Kohler. Still no contract for the union employees. Working day to day wondering if you are going to go on strike sucks.

My JCP is CLOSING. So my backup job when ever I am laid off at Kohler is now officially gone. Store closes at the end of Januaury.

Trying to refinance my place before I am laid off and emploment ends at all spectrums.

Life is a bowl of cheeies. Love them pits.

Plus I started gaining my weight back. Plan on going to the gym today. October was a bad month for me mentally.

I know I will be in here more when I am unemployeed. Smilie

Chat later today.

Strike?? You just got back to work a few months ago, and they are mentioning strike? Why only 19 days left? That's awful that JCP is closing too. Is there a chance to transfer within JCP (locally)?
