Easy Little Apple Dumplings

2 Large Granny Smith apples peeled, cored, sliced into eighths.
2 Cans (8) Crescent Rolls
2 Sticks of Butter
1 1/2 Cups Sugar
2 Tbs. Cinnamon
1 Can (12 oz.) Mt. Dew (not diet)

Wrap each piece of apple in one crescent roll. Lay in 9 x 13 pan

Melt butter and mix in cinnamon and sugar. Spoon over the rolls. Pour the can of Mt. Dew over the whole thing.

Bake at 325 for 45 minutes
Let stand 15 - 20 minutes

Let me just add that I HATE Mt. Dew. This does not taste like Mt. Dew and is delicious.

Not technically a cheese cake, but it's sort of cheese cakey.

Make one package of Dream Whip according to directions. (NOT Cool Whip)
Beat in 1 (8 oz.) cream cheese and 1 cup of powdered sugar until smooth.
Pour into a graham cracker crust.
Top with cherry pie filling. (I use Wilderness Extra Fruit -- the extra fruit is definitely worth the extra $$)
Chill

Sometimes I chill it before I put the pie filling on it. Then I usually just stick the can in the fridge so it gets cold too.

Will target PA their own doorbusters?

Well, they have the PSP bundles that are in the BF ad. I'm just afraid it won't be the right one or they won't price adjust. Guess worst case I could return and then rebuy immediately. IF they don't give me shit and we all know how that is.

Thank you guys again for the well wishes. I finally see some improvement. On Friday, my "good" eye finally became useful. It's no longer so light-sensitive, so it stays open. And I can actually read some now without it being unbearable pain. The left eye, the one with the ulcer & infection, is trying to open, but closes right back up after light gets in it. It's very blurry and of not much use. A lot of the time it feels like a pin is sticking in it. I still have to cover my left eye with my hand when reading on the computer. But it is healing. I go back to the doc on Tuesday.

He also wants me to come in on the evening of 12/1, when he's presenting a seminar to eye specialists. He wants me to be a case study. I agreed of course, but I wish this hadn't been such a cause for study. Something simple would have been fine with me. But no... I had to go all out!

OK, does anyone have a go-to cheesecake recipe? I would love to make a cheesecake for Thanksgiving, but I don't have a tried-and-true recipe. My sister is making a pumpkin pie, so it can't be pumpkin cheesecake, has to be another flavor. Any recommendations?

I've been making like a bandit at Publix, between the Scott Bathroom Tissue (cheaper to not get the big one on sale) with the $1/1 MQ and the $1.50/1 TQ, and then there's the heavenly bacon Q with the $1/1 TQ as well. I got the biggest store in town to also take that $5 off $30 tonight from the S. Fla Oracle (the online publication). $35ish for $11 out the door

I went in and scoped out a Hallmark, but there wasn't anything that jumped out at me that said take me home.

MFH came in and cleaned wiki and coded qs back in the color system they normally have. those who had worked in the wiki and added stuff there started attacking her saying what right does she have to come in 4 days before the sale blah blah blah... she defended saying it has been the same system for years, so it is great that people are working on wiki, but just be consistent and stick to system. it descended from there into name calling and oh your feet must be very tired (to mfh), and then mfh said oh you must be rode on and back and forth it went. ugliness. cattiness. nastiness. undignifed, unnecessary pettiness.
that was the last i read last night. and people said enough with the thread jacking and things went back to deal talk. not sure what happened after.
but this much i know: when slayers draws the line, it must have been one ugly swamp. slayers is generally a sweet (if you're reading slayers, i'm not sucking up, although can i win the ipad or macbook if i do suck up? )

How smart are the toy coupons this year? ie. with the $5 off $xx.xx, does the total of toy have to be $xx.xx or total purchase? Or the coupons that have $5 off multiple toy choices, are they pretty smart?

i'll tell you about some cute gifts if you promise not to read about them for a few days....

at T, in the dollar spot area, they have
1) really cute 2011 wall calendars. there's suzy q. there's an abstract fish paintings one. there is a coloring calendar with pictures for each month that kids can color. very nice for a buck each.
2) holiday jigsaw puzzles in sealed boxes. there's santa by a tree and other things like that...
3) there are lots of cute arts and craft things there. earlier this year from dollar spot i got card-making sets for two goddaughters. they had heavy weight decorative card stock, felt flowers, sequins, ribbons. really looked like the stuff you'd get at expensive paper stores. there's lots of similar stuff there right now.
