Flugette: Are you talking about the home "fuzzy" blankets? I dont remember the price for BF?

Thanks for posting about the store map Dazzled. I would've never checked and would've probably missed out on my DB.

Thanks for the info flugette and Dazzled! I'm sure I won't be out before 10 am but good to know that T is thinking ahead.

Slightly OT and not really something worth griping over but could use some retail advice. Dh and dd went to Borders to pick up two Harry Potter items, using the 50% coupons. Dh was supposed to buy one and dd the other. They weren't paying attention (to me or the cashier as it turns out) and when dh handed me the receipt, he paid full price for one Lego item and got 50% off the other. The full price one is $10 MORE than what Target charges for the same item. Hmmpph.

DD ended up picking out a book and then they upsold her on "donating" a book (you know, the full price $15 and up books they have behind the counter). She agreed to donate a book so her 50% coupon came off a $18 book. First, I was peeved that the two of them didn't follow my instructions. Second, I'm peeved that Borders did their donation pushing to a kid. A not even old enough to drive kid.

If Borders doesn't agree to take the 50% off, I'll be returning the set anyway. Should I express my concerns about the upselling to kids to the store manager? I think it's great that Borders wants to get the publicity for donating to different charities but don't ask preteens and young teens (dd just turned 14) to provide those donations for them. She only earns allowance and babysitting money, and she ended up donating a book that cost most of this week's allowance.

(the slickdealer in me, when asked about donating a book at Borders, grabs one of the $5 and under books from the bargain section and then uses my teacher discount to get another 25% off Embarrassment )

Guess is wasn't OUR week then, at least for baking shake head

I don't know what 'cheesecake etiquette' is but I have to transport mine so I leave the outside part of the pan on and when it is time to eat it release it and viola just leave the bottom on so it isn't messy Dontknow Oh and after it has cooled before releasing it from the outside I take a knife and run it around the outside of the cake between it and the part of the pan that pops off so it doesn't stick and take part of the cheesecake with it Smilie

10 AM OMG LOL, am I missing something?? I'm usually nearly done by 10 AM. Then again we usually 'camp out' overnight somewhere. We've been the first in line at Best Buy before, done Walmart a couple of years (that is really nice because you can be inside where it's warm and there are bathrooms Smilie)...this year we'll be outside at Target.

Also, I saw the blankets that are on sale on BF, and they are NICE. Will have to set aside some $$ to get one of those.

Ooooooo the Fuzzy Blankets???

Yeah, I second that. I want one too and they are Target Home brand.....there is a $5 off Target Home brand blanket in that book I got in the mail today. It will be $20 on BF minus the $5 tq!!!! Whee

Can I ask a favor please? The Garmin 1450 LMT TQ that is online at Target.com supposedly expired on 11/23 *yesterday*. I still see it, but I've already printed and can't print again. Can someone print it and see what the date on it is please? I've also seen them with 12/25 dates on them, so I was :cough: concerned that it might beep expired on Friday.

Would love to see that it actually prints with the 12/25 date on it tonight.

That is wonderful. I think I should probably give up diet pop. Do you think it matters what kind you drink? You hear over and over that Diet Coke is the worst for a myriad of reason. I drink it and Diet A&W Root Beer, occasionally the Cream Soda. I have cut back.
i don't think the type matters in terms of giving up because initially you'll miss the taste cos it's like a reflex reaction - you reach for that drink all the time and are used to having that taste in your mouth throughout the day. kwim?
and though we say that caffiene doesn't effect us, when you drink a lot of soda everyday, there is a lot of caffiene in your body everyday. so once you stop, after a few days once the caffiene levels in your body drop substantially. you feel the effects - exhaustion, irritability, maybe even a withdrawal headache. but then within a few days of that, that goes away. your body adjusts and it keeps getting better from there, because you feel better and better each day.
ditto on the sugar content - you'll feel ugh for a few days without that blood sugar rush but then your body takes over and becomes its healthy self. and it is lovely.

honestly gt, i gave up bread one lent. dramatically reduced my bread intake forever after.
chocolate 2 different lents. ditto on the impact. diet coke - totally eliminated it.
one lent was very hard - i gave up all grains and flours. super hard. came to realize that everything, and i mean everything, has flour in it apparently - from salad dressing to soup. ridiculous. but it got me eating more fruits, veggies, lean meats/fish and so forth. again, changed my dietary landscape.
i highly recommend giving lent a try!

....In deals, both flugette and I agreed that last year we got the 10.00 GC on black friday based on precoupon price.. but there are a few people who swear the GC comes off when your total gets below the 100.00 mark.. Are we crazy? I am fairly certain I got mine on precoupon price last year:cool:
given the frequency with which T updates registers and systems, i would not count on anything rom last year holding true this year. that being said there is no explicit exception for qs. and qs are a form of payment. as such i cannot see them successfully arguing to withhold the gc

And Toots, you need to PM me your address so I can send you an envelope of coupons for winning the contest!
flug is there a crayola q for their coloring calendars please? those are a buck at the dollar spot. got one as a gift for a 5yo. would love to get my $ back.

I'm looking for the 4th generation 32gb iPod Touch. You haven't found any deals anywhere, have ya?....
gt and cathi...you guys should look at ebay for brand new sealed in box pieces. every fall apple runs a promo, where students/educators can buy a macbookrpo and get a touch free after rebate. all the touches end up on ebay for sale. if i recall right they are 8gb or 16gb ones. but regardless, the bay gets flooded. prices go down. find a reputable seller, make sure item is brand new and sealed, never opened. you should be good. if it malfunctions out of the box, you can call apple. it is under warranty and they will replace for free.

....Found stuff at THE GAP store at the outlet today and I can't remember the last time I was able to fit into ANYTHING at a GAP store let alone multiple things.....plus it was all on clearance and you took an additional 40% off clearance prices. Awesome, awesome day with family in town, etc. Can't wait for tomorrow, off to church now for our Thanksgiving service.
congrats!!! you are such an inspiration!
food processor.... keep an eye out for the oster blenders on clarance at T. many of em have a FP jar... works just fine and does all you need. only large batches of anything (bread crumbs, butternut squash pureee etc) will need multiple fill-ins.

open the latch and release the springform collar. slide cheesecake from bottom plate onto a dinner plate or cake plate. cover with a big mixing bowl or a cake dome and chill in fridge, till ready to serve.

you mean I gotta keep going tomorrow!?!? I declare shenanigans and should start meeting the family at a restaurant instead ;)
:lmao:
girl don't get me started. i had a horrible first half of the day. horrible. and that crunched me so bad it was past 7 pm when i finally returned home with all the food shopping. stuff that was supposed to be fiished by noon.
which of course means i now have a ton to put away and a ton to start cooking. and i am so tired i can barely keep my eyes open as i type.

absolutely! i would be livid. how dare you solicit a child? i don't care that it is for charity. for the store it really isn't charity. it is a sale. they just gave the "barely a teen girl" completely oblivious to hard marketing techiniques and profit making calculations, a slick sales pitch to fleece her out of her allowance dollars. and never even bothered consulting with her legal guardian/parent who was in the same store.
that is shameful. unethical. beyond unacceptable. but then that is me.

I wasn't sure if I was making too a big a deal of it. Embarrassment I feel like a cheapskate complaining about it but yet I have to realize, I am somewhat of a cheapskate. I'll buy stuff but 99.9% of the time it has to be on sale. Otherwise, what would I be doing here? LMAO

We donate a lot, don't get me wrong, but I want to be able to do so in my time and way, not pressured to do so every time I'm in a store. I know Target got some bad publicity when they stopped allowing the bell ringers at the door but I was actually a little glad. Ninja I donate at every one but by the time you get to the 5th store for the day, for example, it becomes a little much imo.

Nope, didn't have to work too hard. I realized that I hadn't spent hardly any money from my last flea market sale, so I just had to "add" a little to it. Wink

Yep, those are the ones. I looked at the ad, and they're the $20 ones. Very nice, definitely worth the $20. But then I saw the ones in the Kohls ad that are like 8.99, reg. 39.99. And I want one of those, too!! Big Grin I just heart black Friday shopping.

Cooking/baking is done, now off to bed. Gonna attempt a quick run to Rite Aid tomorrow morning, and then the real marathon will begin.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!!!!

I got one. woot Could not have without your info. Thank you very much.

You could tell they did not want to sell me one. Nobody said anything but one of the TM wanted to scan it first before they got to checkout with it. I don't know what he was checking on.
